  1. You can generally talk them down on prices... There is no rhyme or reason behind their markups and the same part can be had for a myriad of different prices from dealer to dealer. I got a tool that I needed for a brake job once from a dealer (only place to get it). They wanted $150 for it (basically a socket). By the time I left it cost me $25.
  2. Hmmm... No idea. None of the processes are "hard", they just require more than a button push. As far as the ones you are limited from doing because of things like your FOB, you may be able to get that kind of thing done at the dealer. There is a post on here elsewhere where a guy is "hacking" into the software, perhaps he can help you. The title has something to do with customizing Uconnect.
  3. Yes, just use the shock tower location... Or, remove the panel inside the drivers wheel well, turn the wheel all the way and access it from there. Either will be more than sufficient.
  4. Refer to the quoted post below... Everything is in the manual (the book in your glove box). If you don't have one, you can download it from Dodge.
  5. This is correct... The A/C and heating is in the ceiling over the second row on 3 row models. Also, you get 3 zone climate control, so you can set the driver, passenger and rear to different temps. I have the 3 row model and have never had the 3rd row seats up. I keep them folded down and have a cargo mat covering the entire rear cabin.
  6. Right concept...wrong application.
  7. The Audi's are just too small inside for me. A 4-door feels like a 2-door for passengers in the back. Nice cars, just not for me. I guess I assumed (based on the list) that you were looking at the AWD Infinity, hence my recommendation... The Mazda3 isn't bad, but again pretty small. I'd go with the Lexus if you can't find the G35 in AWD.
  8. Yikes! Makes the bird damage seem ideal. Glad everyone is okay!
  9. I'd go with the Infinity... Nice cars and should last for the long haul assuming they weren't neglected.
  10. Why is everyone such a conspiracy theorist these days?? I'm glad not everyone is out to get me, it would make for a miserable existence.
  11. more info would be helpful... What do you mean by "won't start"? Any number of things could be happening... What conditions are present during the "no start" scenarios? Is it making any noises? What is the dash doing? etc, etc...
  12. I think only the minis and the apollos fit... I have the mini gatlings.
  13. Assuming that the picture is accurate, that "sub" can't be any bigger than 6"...
  14. I will call someone if I have enough to say... A quick statement doesn't always require a conversation though.
  15. Samsung Galaxy Note 4. No firmware updates have been made to the radio since I purchased the vehicle new in February of 2014.
  16. I don't think it is legal to text anywhere, that's why this is a nice feature. Normally I wouldn't see the texts until I got to my destination (sometimes this is a problem if the reason for the text was to stop and get something, or a change in plans, etc.), but now I have the ability to listen to them and either use the limited responses available or call them. Either way, it is hands free. It won't allow you to read the text while driving, but it will read the out loud to you...
  17. So there have been topics that come and go on here about the text feature not working on the DJ. I assumed it was a feature for the nav radio (which I don't have) along with the fact that not all phones are supported by UConnect. Having a newer phone, I figured it would just never work for me. However, I got a new phone yesterday and when pairing, the radio asked for permission to view my messages. Moments later a text came in from my wife and it was read out loud to me. It is important to say that your options for replying are limited to a dozen or so predetermined responses, but it sure is nice to be able to listen to them and reply (albeit generically). I can't count the number of times I've gotten a text when driving that I needed to hear before I arrived at my destination, but didn't. Kind of like getting a new toy!
  18. With all of the people that bitch about their dealers, it is nice to see the other side once in a while. Sounds like they are doing your right. I have 2 dealers in my neck of the woods that are very much the same way. Keep us updated.
  19. Oracle is pretty ridiculous... At that price, I hope they built them, not you. Get your parts at theretrofitsource.com and do the work yourself. It isn't difficult and the same or better quality parts can be purchased for much less than an Oracle build.
  20. so each side separately... Thought you were just doing it once.
