  1. Hate to be a headlight Nazi, but I have to agree...
  2. I agree... Should be pretty apparent to ANY mechanic. You should be able to tell by yourself as well. Have someone rev the engine while you look in the engine bay. It should not move much if at all. If the mount is bad it will be obvious.
  3. I believe that there IS a separate BT module, but that would not explain the hands free issue... Sounds like they will likely end up replacing the stereo. They don't do much for troubleshooting outside of the modules. If the radio itself is bad they will just replace the whole thing. I know it is probably too late for you at this point (maybe not though), but as soon as I saw all of the electronics on the DJ in the lot I opted for the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. better safe than sorry when it comes to these things.
  4. This is what I will do when I get to mine... Make sure to use a quality LOC. They will be a little more expensive, but the price will be worth the extra features and ease of install.
  5. I have NEVER used my fob to lock or unlock the vehicle, always used the handles or the fob for my remote start (that thing works great for up to 3,000 feet!). I would agree with bramfrank though... sounds like a receiver issue. That is where I would start at least.
  6. I call it a car, but I think it fits the definition of a CUV....
  7. Agreed... I've tried them on a couple different vehicles and always ended up switching to a magnaflow or borla muffler after a couple months.
  8. I've seen someone with a light bar behind the grill on the lower fascia... you'd have to search around a little bit to find it though.
  9. dash speakers are 3.5" tweeters... they don't list a replacement because of the odd shape of them, but they can be replaced with a little extra work.
  10. Also, if there is interference with the signal it will not start. Make sure the fob is not in a pocket with a cell phone, metal money clip, etc. This will cause delays in recognizing the key. When it happens to me I just push it a second time and it usually starts right up... there seems to be a brief period you need to wait for the car to recognize that the key is in the vehicle. You can tell it has recognized it because the small display in the gauges comes on.
  11. First thing I do when I buy a vehicle is remove all of the badges. Looks much nicer in my opinion.
  12. I'm not positive... The info is definitely on the forum, but it would be just as easy to crawl underneath and take a few measurements (might actually be easier than wading through all of the posts).
  13. I would leave the resonators and replace the muffler with a Magnaflow... Should be less than $100 if you do the work yourself and will give a nice rumble without all of the resonance in the cab...
  14. They have a whole line of them, not just ours... With most manufacturers moving to a similar system, companies will have to react to remain profitable. They are a little pricey though, and the buttons stick out quite a ways.
  15. I checked both of my arms last night since the doc always checks the right and I've been checking my left... Numbers were very much in line. I have changed my diet a bit and been on the meds since Tuesday. Every reading I have taken has been either good, or just slightly elevated. Looks like the changes are working. Kind of annoying to be on meds though. Anyone able to successfully change their health enough to get off of the meds? Or maybe you know someone who has?
  16. Kind of why I asked for more info... Could be so many simple and cheap fixes. We really need more info.
  17. More info would be helpful... Does it always happen, only when the vehicle isn't warmed up, during shift, etc.?? Can you provide better detail of what exactly i happening?
  18. What was wrong with it each time??? The same thing? If so, at least you have a paper trail showing the ongoing issues...
  19. There is a kit that allows you to install an aftermarket stereo in the models with the 4.3 ONLY. Metra makes a kit that retains the touchscreen for use with the other vehicle systems and allows you to install an aftermarket stereo. The kit allows installation of a single DIN or a double DIN (so you can install an aftermarket camera). You would also need the steering wheel controls adaptor, but I think everything else is included. Runs $400-$500 US. http://www.metraonline.com/part/99-6520B
  20. Interesting... I bought a home monitor and have been checking it the last 2 days. It is slightly high, but just above the recommended levels... I have been checking my left arm because I am a righty and they ALWAYS check my right side at the doc. Maybe when I check it tonight after work I will do both sides and compare. I just figured the meds starting doing their magic right off of the bat. Maybe there is something else going on. Thanks for bringing it up.
  21. My diet isn't terrible, but it's not in line with the low sodium barely any red meat diet that they endorse... Only have on cup of coffee in the morning and drink water the rest of the day; coffee water and a beer for me, no soda... Having to work at all is stressful, but I wouldn't classify my job as stressful. I started working out again about 3 months ago. I am down about 15lbs and 2 pant sizes at the moment.
  22. It pisses me off that I am as active as I am and still have to deal with this. But, if it helps me live a better quality of life and to be there for my family then I guess the diet changes and the pills go down the hatch. I do have a history of stroke and heart disease on one side of my family. The other side is healthy as can be... Looks like I got the bad genes.
  23. The last few times I have been at the Urgent Care they have indicated that my blood pressure was high (over the last year plus), so yesterday I went in. Sure enough, it's high...VERY high. With 1 in 3 people having high blood pressure I figured that there is bound to be some experience on the forum. So, do/did you have high blood pressure? Were you able to get in in check? What things worked for you? What things didn't? My background: I am 35 years old. I work out 4 to 5 days a week (strength and cardio). I play and coach hockey as well, so I would consider myself to be a fairly active person. I don't smoke, but I do drink...sometimes a lot. Yesterday they put me on what I would consider a fairly strong dose of meds and I am going back in for a follow-up in 30 days. That's my story, what's yours?
