  1. I don't want to take over this thread, but if you mold it to the panel with fiberglass and use ALL of the space (meaning a very strange shape), you MAY be able to get enough airspace for a decent 10" sub...
  2. We get some pot holes like that here in MN every spring too... Old man winter takes his toll on the roadways.
  3. Wow... this is a strange one. I tend to lean toward the TIPM with strange issues like this because it controls so much, but it sounds like you have an install that MAY be to blame. Is this why you asked about removing the rear panel?? Let us know what you find out and good luck.
  4. Looks good. I would have never thought white for the calipers, but it works. Curious how much cleaning will be required. The black headlights will set it off nicely. Nice job!
  5. I believe that I saw a post for the reverse camera install and the rear seats needed to be removed as well... If you decide to do it, it would be great if you captured a few pics and documented the process for others that are interested. I know that when spring comes I will be attempting a stealth subwoofer box install behind the panel and would love to get a look at it before tearing into the project. Good luck!
  6. Right... Open them to let heat out, close them and then remote start with the A/C on... Maybe I wasn't clear.
  7. Ha! I hope he's not doing that in a DJ!
  8. Yikes! That sounds like another strike against Detroit! We are no-fault in MN, but the insurance company will go after you if you are uninsured... Not a battle I would want to take on.
  9. It's rare for me to be the voice of reason, but I'm going to throw out a scenario where, in warmer climates, this feature would be nice. I have a buddy that lives in Vegas and it is HOT. Opening up the windows for a few minutes before getting in a car that has been in the sun all day makes a huge difference. Even if you have remote start and can let it run with the air on for a bit, it works much better after letting out some of that heat... So, given the climate, I can see where this would be VERY nice to have, and perhaps essential in some people's minds.
  10. I know... I am reminded constantly my my Canadian friends... I tried to Google Maps Melville, but there are several of them and they are all in different provinces. I tend to think of the Winnipeg area in my head, which makes MN look like a vacation destination. I don't experience this in the warm months...
  11. Being that you are in Canada, it is likely the cold... Do you notice it in the warmer months?
  12. You won't have wires as the plugs are fired by a coil on each cylinder. What was the code?? This will likely give you an answer quicker than the guess and check method (though it sounds like you may be due for plugs anyway).
  13. Four bent wheels?!! What happened?
  14. If you actually read what I posted, I never "accused" you of anything... In fact, I stated that it sucks that is happened. Instead of having a hissy fit like a little kid, grow up and have a productive conversation. Get over yourself.
  15. I like the thick blue color band... The shield could definitely use a little more tweaking though. Curious how noticeable it will be when the are both on and overlapping each other. I may have to pick up some of those bulbs.
  16. Ha! That's only 2 networks... Just because you say one twice doesn't make it 3!!
  17. That has to be a mistake... With all of the people stopping in to tell us they will never buy another Chrysler product...they HAVE to be junk.
  18. While I can agree the driver has a lot to do with it, the AWD (or 4WD for that matter) is a nice aid to help when the weather is bad. It doesn't mean you should drive like an ass, but it is a nice way to help you get going in slippery intersections, make it up inclines, get through deeper snow where you may typically have a tough time and start spinning a little, etc. Required? No. Nice to have? Absolutely.
  19. Ha! Wow... Settle down. I was respectful in my post. I'm saying it's a TSB which is there to help the techs diagnose issues that there is a correction for but may not be easily diagnosed. It's not safety related, so most (if not all) manufacturers are not going to recall over it. Good dealers will usually do these types of things free or highly discounted if you speak to them like a grown up instead having an attitude. With your childish response to my attempt to answer you question, I'm guessing you'll lose your cool long before a productive discussion can be had, so you will likely pay the $95 hourly rate. Good luck with that...
  20. The Genuine Mopar ones are available in your dealer's parts department... Generics should be easily found at any decent auto parts store. Grab your paint code off of the sticker in the door jam and either go to the dealer or roll your dice at the parts store.
  21. you have the upgraded radio and are experiencing the problem outlined in the TSB?? If so, flashing software should be quick and not cost very much at all... I wouldn't say that they "know they have a faulty product and won't own up to it"... They have created a fix and it isn't required for all vehicles, just some. It sucks yours showed up after the warranty expired, but I don't think it is a conspiracy theory designed to screw you over or anything like that.
