  1. Since these both involve software updates you would need to go to your dealer... I have seen many TSB's that could be performed by the owner or another shop though...just not this kind. Should only be like $100 to do both. I know it's not cheap, but it's not expensive either.
  2. Ha! Went back to edit my post... must have hit the quote button by accident... Woops!
  3. Yes, there is room to go bigger... I'll see if I can remember to get some measurements tonight and post them up.
  4. Maybe rather than dipping the wheels red you should paint the calipers red... would be more subtle. I think you should tint the reflectors in the rear bumper too... right now they stick out and don't match the tails.
  5. you should be fine then... I would seriously consider an LOC as it will perform better than the high level input (at least in my experience). Get one that has the remote wire built in and you won't have to run any additional wiring to the battery (beyond the amp lead).
  6. You are going to get the best signal using a line output converter, I would avoid using the high level inputs. You should also be able to find a nice LOC for a lot less than $70. I have heard that there is some issue with being able to amplify the door speakers with an aftermarket amp (something about the signal and CANbus), but I cannot verify and I am not aware of anyone on the site who has done this...
  7. Ha! Yes, got a couple...missed a couple more because of ice that was beat up real bad (bounced over my stick on the backside move, damn!).
  8. Based on my experiences (and others I know), I would steer clear of Ziebart...
  9. Your warranty paperwork should list dates and mileage that it expires at... If not under warranty it really depends on the dealer. You will likely have to pay for it if it is no longer under warranty though, unless your dealer is something special.
  10. Are we talking about JUST the Uconnect system, or the whole stereo, screen, etc??
  11. Beneath the chrome is a very shiny black finish... at this point I am planning on running the stock bulbs, but I may change it up depending on how it looks. It should still be plenty bright and easily visible as is. If it is not I will make appropriate changes to ensure it is safe and legal.
  12. This is based off of older models in the Dodge lineup, but I believe that the only thing that may make them compatible or not is the bus speed... this will either be high speed or low speed and you must replace with the identical speed. Again, this is based off of older models and I am not sure what bus speed the DJ or the Charger have...
  13. They can be removed, but you will probably have a code... It is part of the SRS system and the active headrests are wired into the vehicle diagnostics systems... Of course, this is model year dependent as I believe the older models did not have active headrests. What year is your R/T?
  14. I think you missed the point... This was for a custom build and install that is hidden behind the bumper (not a Curt or any other off-the-shelf brand). No manufacturer offers this option, so while he could easily get a cheaper price, this is the only way to get a "stealth" install... I for one would like to see pics when it is done!
  15. You're going to have to get behind the bumper...
  16. This happens to me from time to time as I keep my keys and cell phone in the same pocket in my laptop backpack...
  17. Here are some pics of the mock up... These are just loosely placed together to get a feel for the finished product. I still need to shave a little off the back of where the projector mounts...
