  1. The dash is black chrome??? Hmmm.... Sounds sexy.
  2. There is a lot to remove in order to get it off, so it takes a while, but it should be a "simple" job for a competent technician...
  3. He has a Crossroad... the front and rear bumper are a little different than ours...
  4. There is a latch, I just never noticed it because I never sit in the back...
  5. Maybe just leave your bag in the back for a couple of weeks. That should cover up the dog smell easily.
  6. If you've ever smelled it you'd understand... Much worse than any other sports equipment I've ever had the pleasure of stinking up! Yet the smell is kind of like comfort food... relaxing and reminds me of family and good times...
  7. Ahhh... I understand what you're saying now... Makes sense.
  8. This is my 4th Dodge in a row and none of them have had any major issues... I currently own 2. I have owned other vehicles from American and Japanese manufacturers and I prefer my Dodges to all of them. I agree with jkeaton that there is nothing that even comes close to touching the DJ as far as bang for the buck.
  9. If you have the DRL option from the factory then you need only turn it on from the screen once... Auto lights and/or DRLs are not standard on the Journey in the US.
  10. It may smooth out the airflow a bit by getting rid of ledges and such... But generally you would need to do a full intake and exhaust upgrade to realize any real gains... Especially with all of the control the computer has taken over these days.
  11. Sounds like the music is playing though, so I think he is connecting... I don't remember specifics, but I think I had to select it as a phone and audio source when I set mine up. I just don't remember if I did that on the phone or the radio...
  12. That's why I figured most people would know what I was talking about! My garage smells like a hockey locker room and it keeps me at ease... Not everyone like the funk though...not sure why?
  13. I understand what tilt steering is, I just don't understand what your "pet peeve" about the Journey's tilt steering is. Personally, I like that it moves up and down rather than actually tilting. That way the face of the steering wheel actually faces me when I move it up rather than the top leaning away from me. I also like that it telescopes...
  14. It appears that the NHTSA has performed a third study of the effectiveness of DRL and has stated that they are not effective in most instances and may actually be an added danger for motorists and pedestrians... Based on this report, I highly doubt that we will see mandatory use of DRLs in the states in the near future. http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=NHTSA-2008-0153-0004 I also thought that this site was interesting... http://www.lightsout.org/index.html
  15. Quoted from where? In MN if it is raining/snowing/foggy (times of low visibility), or if you have your wipers on, you are required to use your headlights. DRLs do NOT meet this requirement, but I see a ton of people who have no lights on at these times, so apparently it is not well enforced...
  16. The Cherokee does... It's not what one would associate with a "Jeep" in the classic sense.
  17. The Avengers had a similar issue with the trunk lid... Water would seep in around the 3rd brake light and there were rubber seals blocking the drain holes on the bottom of the trunk lid. Lots of people had issues with those cars...Mine did not have the seals from the factory for some reason.
  18. It should be... Have you looked at your owners manual? The process is detailed in there... You may also have a setting on your phone that sets bluetooth connections to certain devices as either music, calls, or both. Check your phone bluetooth setting to see.
  19. Mind if I ask why??? Something unique planned?
  20. The dealer will likely hire a professional detailer to get rid of the smell. There is this device that they can stick in the vehicle that emits a bacteria killing vapor in the vehicle that will greatly diminish the smell and should get rid of it after a couple tries if the smell is REALLY strong... For those of you that spend a fair amount of time at a hockey rink, it is very similar to the ozone equipment that most rinks have now to clean your equipment and get that hockey funk out...
  21. Okay, not "yellow", but they have a dim appearance... The newer vehicles with the LEDs look fine IMO. I'm sure they will be required at some point (I think they already are in some states), but I'm pretty confident that they are standard on all new vehicles at this point.
  22. Care to share what it was? I assume a seal?
  23. Seems to me that every time Apple sends out an update there is nothing but problems for a few days... Give it some time, it will eventually work.
