  1. The challenger is also a lot heavier than a DJ... That difference in weight could easily kill that 22hp. I have used a tune on several vehicles and there is absolutely a big difference using one, but as you stated the DJ's usefulness is in it's utility and that is why I bought it. Hauls kids and hockey/camping gear quite well.
  2. Can we sticky this thread to the top of the forum and change the heading to draw people to it? This is a VERY common concern and would (hopefully) save a lot of unnecessary discussion about it...
  3. Your FWD handles all that New Mexico snow pretty well, eh? The reason people get the light is because they are driving like dim wits... If you nail the skinny pedal and the wheels start spinning at a different rate due to slippage, then the light will come on. If you drive normally and NOT like an idiot, then the AWD works flawlessly... We had quite a bit of snow last year after I bought my DJ and it absolutely handles better than a FWD. Can a FWD get you through the winter? Absolutely, lots of people do it every year....but the AWD does make a noticeable difference if you use it for what it is.
  4. Wow... Impressed. I didn't have a lot of faith in them being THAT bright...
  5. Sweet. I'd love to see pics of the DJ with them on and output pics if you get an opportunity to take some pics...
  6. I'd love to see a video of this... Where in MN are you?
  7. Ahhh... Mine on the DJ have the exterior of the lip exposed; the cards would have covered it. Still think it is easier to just peel it, but that is just my opinion.
  8. I would sell it immediately and never buy another Dodge. I know for a fact that other manufacturers don't have issues with their vehicles and I wouldn't put up with that crap from Dodge. It's almost like they picked you out from a crowd and decided to screw you over for fun. Personally, I would suggest an import as they are better than American vehicles because they are built by Asians and Europeans.
  9. For paint...yes. For PlastiDip? NO... Waste of time. Plus, you can't get coverage on the outside of the wheel lip which will show.
  10. Dip will not stick to any surface permanently and is easily peeled a short time after it has sprayed. I have personally done it (as have thousands of others) and taping or even cards are a waste of time. Grab an edge and pull with even pressure. Maybe 15 seconds per wheel...
  11. This is for older models with a turn key ignition... Something that the 2014's do not have...
  12. You don't need to tape around the wheel if you dip it... the dip will peel off of the tire and leave a clean line along the separation between the wheel and tire... Just make sure it is on the tire thick so that it comes off in one even piece.
  13. Looks great. Any time for pics of the light output on the road or cutoff line on a wall??
  14. Guess I didn't read closely enough... I have NEVER manually locked my car, but this has happened to me using the fob, typically with the kid involved as stated in my first post...
  15. As have I on my 2014... Mine seems to happen when my kid is with. I figured it something to do with the fact that his door was open when I hit the lock.
  16. Hmmm... there's an actual latch?
  17. Interesting... If you go to their website their is a 3000 lumen version as well. Only $90... No one seems to make an H1 bulb unfortunately... I wonder why. When I get around to my retrofit I have H1 projectors and it would be nice to be able to go with LEDs if I wanted. Bummer...
  18. $70 a pair? If they are fanless, how are they cooled? Huge heat sinks? I assume that the high quality ones have fans for a reason... Are there any lifetime expectancy numbers on the ones without fans? I wonder if the fan just adds longevity to the product.
  19. I'd like this to be hot too... There have been many times I would have liked to have been able to use it quickly (camping, tailgating, etc) and was unable to. Keep us updated if anyone figures something out.
  20. Did you post pics (I can't see any pics on hosted sites, like photobucket, from work)?? I always remove my badges on day one, but dipped badges can look very nice if done correctly... Can I ask what issues you ran into that you had to do it so many times?
  21. That would be irritating...to not be able to do your job at the level you expect of yourself because someone else won't do theirs.
  22. Mine has a loop at the top, but it isn't a 2010... Should be able to pull it down fairly easily...
