1) I'm not sure what the "basic" interior is, but I get compliments about the interior of my SXT Plus all the time... 2) That seems feasible... I've never tried it, but the drivers 2nd row seat moves independently of the other side (I have never actually had my 3rd row up...ha!). 3) I have a 2014... Sometimes it shifts like butter and sometimes it is a little rougher... It has never shifted in a way that concerns me. 4) I paid about the same price (before trade-in) for a DJ with 0 miles on it and the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty... It seemed to me like you could get a much better deal on a new one than on something a little older. If you have a volume dealer in your area (usually more rebates), you may get a better deal.

LED Headlight Bulbs

The Oracle bulbs are fan cooled as well. The Lifetime LED bulbs do have a lifetime warranty as well, so if the fan failed it should be replaced... -

The specs are different if you look at both pages. That being said, it looks like a quality light, so I wouldn't be concerned. BUT, they are definitely NOT the same light. I say save a buck if you aren't losing much in return and in this case it appears like the $ savings will far outweigh any negatives from a slightly lower quality product. Can't wait to see the results. -

I get why people are upset, and like you I just check in once in a while (because it does get old to read over and over). As far as aftermarket, you can pay someone to install them and there are hundreds of very well integrated options available... All I'm saying is that a) they aren't mandatory, b ) they don't gain you anything that can't be accomplished by turning on your fogs/side markers/headlights and c) a lawsuit over something like this is BEYOND ridiculous... If it is that important, there are very viable ways to accomplish the same thing without overreacting and using words like "lawsuit"... The amount of angst over something so meaningless and (in my opinion) useless just blows my mind. -

I wasn't suggesting that you were annoyed by it, I was sayng that it is getting annoying hearing everyone complain about it. Sounds like you have a valid need (unlike many others who post on the topic). I wonder how that works... Are you moving there? I wonder if they would be able to change it at a Canadian dealer... -
Actually, the head restraint should only activate in a rear collision. The force of your car moving forward after being hit causes damage to the soft neck tissues (whiplash). All that the headrest does is close the gap, leaving less distance for your head to travel and absorbing the force from your head impacting the head rest, thereby mitigating the risk of neck injuries due to rear impacts.

I have the cargo mat... nothing slides around at all. And yes, there are 2 hooks on the back of the driver's seat.
-
If you are buffing out swirls you should be working in the clear coat, so you really shouldn't have to worry about touching the paint (unless you are way over aggressive). I wouldn't worry about buffing it in the meantime while you wait to hear from the dealer...

Pretty sure that active restraint headrests are now mandatory on all new vehicles... I would assume that means that the appropriate testing has been done to prove safety.

There are dealers in Abbotsford and Duncan... Did you call them and see if you could source them locally for a little less? Also, I see nothing to indicate that these are the same light that Oracle sells... -

A typical halogen 9006 bulb puts out approximately 1,000-1,100 lumens. At 2,200 lumens these are SIGNIFICANTLY brighter. this is also slightly brighter than HIR bulbs... However, this is still not as bright as an HID bulb (typically closer to 3,500 lumens). My only concern would be that the "hot spot" of the bulb is in the same location (in relation to the reflector) as a standard 906 bulb. If it is then you should see similar performance with much better output and clarity than your halogen bulbs... -

I have been avoiding this thread because it has become nothing more than an annoyance at this point, but I broke down today and read a few of the most recent replies. I understand that some people like the DRL feature (not sure why, but that doesn't really matter), but what I don't get is why people are so pissed about not having it when it is an option that needs to be ordered from the factory... If you didn't order it then you don't get it, get over it. There are thousands of options for DRLs that look and operate a lot better than the OEM version anyway. Rather than battle Chrysler and threaten lawsuits, why not spend the $20 and 30 minutes of time to put something else in???? Absolutely! They will look a hundred times better anyways... Good luck, and share with us what you decide on (maybe it will settle everyone down a little when they see there are other options). -
Clear plastidip is a matte finish and would stick out like a sore thumb (not that blue tape wouldn't, ha!). There is another spray out there that is truly clear and still has a gloss finish. I don't remember who makes it though... Maybe 3M?

I think you mean rewritten...
-
I'm confused... nothing is actually wrong with it, correct? You just don't like the way the engine sounds?

Youtube doesn't show them on the car anyways... it is a bench test. The link I posted above shows the lights off of the vehicle if that's what you are looking for. -
Rotors might be gone, but check the pictures

I disagree... If the tires wore out prematurely due to the issue arising from the bolt (most likely scenario) then I think that the Dodge warranty should cover that. The CAUSE of the issue is almost certainly due to the manufacturer (or maybe the dealer) screwing up...NOT the tire manufacturer. -
Ha! Well...there you have it. The voice of experience says it will leave a mess. (not a surprise)

I'm thinking that we have already made all of these suggestions to the same user in a different thread, but I'm too lazy to look. Feels like he is bouncing his newest idea off of us. EDIT: Not the same guy... The film seems like the best long term solution. There is also a spray on version that is clear... these would definitely be the most long term solutions. Personally, I don't think that painters tape will stick at high speeds for very long.
-
Probably because it created an edge that was not previously there and that the wind drags across... Maybe wax the edge of the film where it meets the car and see if you can get rid of the hard edge?
-
This would probably be a lot more work... and would definitely be more expensive... I don't personally like them and haven't had any huge issues with chipping myself, but why not get a bra?
-
This is how I found mine... it whistles in the gap between the mount arm and the mirror...this does not always happen though.

Yeah, 5 months is a long time... They do look nice though. Waiting for those pics!
