  1. Damn old-timers! Always pulling the age card!
  2. DodgeCACares is the Canadian rep on the board... Don't know that I would ever buy a car because of a bad experience at a dealer, but that fastener being gone is certainly not good. Good luck in getting a resolution; if you are really serious about it, local media always seems to cause enough attention to get things done.
  3. It's roughly a 0.8 inch difference, don't think you need to worry about it.
  4. They haven't used plug wires for some time... They are coil packs (black squares with what appears to be potting on the top). The wires leading to them are much thinner that a plug wire too, so if you don't know what you are looking for it may be hard to see. On the image on the left side of this page (http://www.allpar.com/mopar/phoenix-engines.html) the coil packs are the 3 black squares on the top with the 2 bolts in them...
  5. Sorry that your undies are on so tight, but I wasn't being a smart ass at all (for reference, I am being one now ). I was simply just confused what you expected him to do about it (like I said). Have you contacted Dodge, or just dealers? Sounds like all of the dealers in your area are a little slow on the intake... Journeyman425 has been able to help quite a few people, have you asked for his assistance?
  6. I remembered this post the other day and honked my horn a few times heading down a desolate country road to check it out... I didn't notice a delay on mine at all. I did notice that it was more responsive if I pushed it towards the bottom rather than in the middle or top (dunno why... maybe it is hinged at the top). Is it possible that you are pushing in on it toward the top and that you are having to push it in farther to get it to honk, hence the "delay"? Try pushing on the bottom of it once and see if it is any different.
  7. I'm confused what exactly it is that you expect him to do? If you've checked a couple of dealers and they say it can't be done then all he can do is say the same... Rather than complain about someone who has been very helpful here, it seems like it would be more beneficial to your cause to do the leg work and contact a few dealers. Worst case it takes 15 minutes of your time to find numbers for several dealers in you area and pick up the phone. If you still don't get the answer you're looking for, there are several aftermarket options available to give you the DRLs that you seem unable to live without...
  8. Hmmm... Interesting. I have the lifetime warranty and it is detailed in my warranty (hence my assumption that there would be details in the warranty). I guess I have been lucky in that my dealer has always provided a rental... Something to look out for in the future I guess. I would not get warranty work done at the dealer in question anymore...
  9. I believe that if you get a loaner on your own they only reimburse a certain amount per day. Every dealer I've ever had has had their own rentals and I've never had that issue. Warranty should cover it in detail.
  10. Sounds like maybe a joint somewhere... Probably easiest to have a mechanic diagnose it if you aren't pretty handy.
  11. This statement really has no fact, just opinion... Fact is that the manufacturer suggest intervals based on engineering and systems knowledge. I can agree doing it more often doesn't hurt, but to suggest that the manufacturer requirements are not stringent enough is really nothing more than opinion, likely not based on anything other than word of mouth, habit, etc.
  12. Yeah, it would be nice to get artwork... I don't own any apple products (refuse to pay twice as much just because of the name), but it should be simple enough to get the artwork to show up you would think.
  13. Yup... I have an aftermarket one installed by the dealer. 3,000 foot range. Love it.
  14. Theoretically you could use any cap that has the correct pressure spring inside... Apparently no one with a 2.4L wants to help.
  15. I would get the codes read and see what they are... Could be something as simple as cleaning the throttle body or replacing a sensor. Dodges are very finicky with the battery supply as well, wouldn't surprise me if your battery were on the way out and it was acting up. Really though, it could be a ton of things. See if there are any stored codes and report back.
  16. Ha! It would be quicker to walk or ride a bike! Screw that commute...
  17. I've always wondered about that... Seems like a plausible explanation...
  18. Even though there are a ton of similarities, the two platforms are still very different. In order to produce a tuner they would need to spend a good bit of money on R&D (although less than if it were an entirely new combination) in order to get something on the market... At this point I wouldn't hold your breath. There are options out there for custom tunes though, if that is what you want...
  19. I can't really help you as I've never really been a fan of those, but have you considered the clear 3m protection for the front?
