  1. ?????? For what? He was just explaining what happened when the ballasts fired. There is a rumor out there that the firing of the ballasts creates an initial power spike that is unsafe for oem wiring...
  2. Both of my current Dodge vehicles oil change lights go on when a change is necessary... I would get it checked out because it certainly shouldn't go that long... BTW, no manufacturer has an accurate OCI indicator... Its all a guess based on different characteristics of your driving. The ones that give you a "percent oil life" are a gimmick at best.
  3. You can get your build sheet at a dealer or online... It should also be on the window sticker if you still have that.
  4. I always remove all of my badges, but I have had my wheels dipped for a while now and the stuff is pretty durable... The car wash I use when I'm too lazy to do a hand wash has stiff bristle brushes that clean each wheel and it has held up great.
  5. This post is pretty old, but typically you would use a 50w 6ohm resistor, one for each side.
  6. Thank god... I was getting sick of coming in here only to find out you STILL didn't have it. Looks great, I really like the wheels.
  7. Yeah, it should turn on at 6 months, regardless of miles driven...
  8. Agree 1,000%... Use good oil and filters and stick to what the manufacturer requires...
  9. You should be able to get the part number from your dealer then... or online. Look up the upper hose rather than the cap...
  10. My avenger went at 8,000 and my DJ went at about 4,000... It will vary some depending on your driving conditions.
  11. Booo... I thought it was fogs... For backing up to a trainer or something. Lame...
  12. I do mine when it tells me... It is different every time. Oil is always clean coming out and I have no concerns with going 8,000 miles if it tells me it's okay.
  13. They collect dirt for sure... I took mine off to tint them a couple weeks after I bought the car (brand new) and there was a ton of dirt in there... It wasn't small stuff either, their was some good sized sand particles in there... When you wash it let the hose run on them with no nozzle on it for a little bit to wash out what is loose... I've also noticed that when I go down a dirt road, even just for a block or two, a bunch of dirt collects in the rear hatch jamb too... Very annoying.
  14. What I don't get is what is getting reset... If the light isn't on yet then there is nothing to reset. I'm pretty confident it will still come on when it thinks the oil should be changed and ignore the fact that it was changed early and that the change interval is off... A lot of people don't get that the machining processes these days produce vehicles with very tight tolerances and that the manufacturer recommended oil changes are more than sufficient to keep the engine running just fine for a LONG time... This isn't the 60's anymore, no need to waste time and money changing fluids that don't need it.
  15. Link please? I'm interested... Haven't seen them mentioned in the forums.
  16. If it is on the screen as an option then you should have them... I have the 8.4" screen and it is not on mine; I do not have heated seats.
  17. So I went to WholesaleMopar.com and it looks like the cap is part of the top hose assembly... Is that what you are talking about, or are you talking about the cap on the reservoir?
  18. Same process for the Journey, but if you are changing it early there is nothing to reset. To me this sounds like a nightmare to keep track of, but go ahead and change it if you're really that concerned. I would wait for DJ to tell you it's ready though personally...much easier to manage and well within the warranty requirements. BTW, the process is in your manual, you must be looking in the wrong place.
  19. Your first issue sounds like a short somewhere in the rear hatch area, but that wouldn't explain the other phenomenon... Unless you have more than one issue.
  20. If you have the part number, why do you need someone else to look and give it to you again??? Is there an issue?
  21. Generally speaking, yes it is. However, this function seems to only work with one or two phone models and I doubt the salesperson keeps track of that much detail, nor do I think they should be expected to...
  22. It's not an option on the non-Nav unit... It is however in the manual for the Nav unit, but I haven't heard of anyone getting it to work.
  23. Best bet is to yank it out. It should say on the back of the speaker basket...
