Parking Brake Light Comes On Randomly
Lobitz68 replied to Chad Cole's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
Sounds like low fluid level to me... -
How can I get the proper sales code added for trailer prep
Lobitz68 replied to Byron Devine's topic in Hauling & Towing
So you are just looking to have the lights be programmed as "on" at the dealer? Sounds like your dealer is incompetent if they can't complete that simple task. I'm not sure what to tell you other than contact another dealer... -
Installing HID lights on your Journey (step by step)

Nice spread and much brighter than stock... Looks great. -
Only the dealer could answer this questions, but every dealer I've ever used charges a diagnostic fee to check the vehicle... If a repair is necessary then it may be waived.

My finicky comment was in regards to the fluids used... I would assume that you used the correct fluids and changed them at the correct intervals. If that is the case then I wouldn't expect you to have had any issues with them being finicky. Unfortunately some people (and even shops) don't refill with ATF+4 and then their tranny starts going south quickly...

HID fog light hell

Try the XB LED bulbs from TRS. There is a pic that someone posted in here and they look great. Wide focused beam and it is bright... -

Gorgeous... Love the TRS products. Putting that one on the list for sure! -
Sadly, I didn't throw anything on the smoker for the 4th...

No one is talking to you!! Kidding... The 3.6 (though not captured well on youtube) sounds pretty close to a V8. Obviously it's not, but I'm amazed how good some of these 6 cylinder engines sound these days. I've always been partial to the dodge and ford sound though. There are definitely some improvements in throttle response and torque, even with today's computer controlled engines. I think what he isn't getting at is that you aren't getting the full benefit. That being said, it sure is fun!

I had a Hemi with a Magnaflow dual exhaust on it.... Had a 4.7 with one too. Both sounded great. You'd be surprised how good these 3.6's sound though. It isn't that far off...
-
I usually do too, but I bought the lifetime bumper to bumper, so I may hold on to this one for a while...
-
Probably because no one else makes it yet... Bastards! I remember when ATF+4 was like that... what a pain.
-
Agreed, the 3.6 does sound like a sexy little bitch...

The vehicle will likely adapt to it with all of the computer interaction, but you still get the benefit of sound and appearance at a minimum... Could always reset the computer every once in a while too. Some people just like to tinker with their vehicles. I am one of them, but I haven't done any intake or exhaust mods on my last two because I figured the computer would just adapt to it and nullify gains. Getting too old and crabby to deal with the sound anymore...
-
Could have just left them on when you dipped them, that's the beautiful part about dipping... did you do a contrasting color or color of the vehicle? What color were they to start with?
-
Same thing they do for ALL vehicles... create less turbulent airflow and increase air flow, therefore creating the potential for increased horsepower, improved sound and better fuel economy. Couple that with a high flow exhaust and you will see gains in HP, torque, mileage and sound. You don't need a sports car to add an intake and exhaust.

The computer calculates your oil change interval based on the driving conditions you experience. Both my 2012 Avenger and my 2014 DJ have this feature and the interval is NEVER the same. I've gone as far as 8,000 miles on my Avenger (ok according to the manual) and as little as 5,000. The shorter cycle was in the winter when I'm sitting in traffic more due to shitty roads... The first oil change on my DJ was right around the 4,000 mile mark (winter)... I always use full synthetic Mobil 1 on all of my vehicles along with extended service oil filters.

Glad you got it figured out.

I'm not sure if anyone has lowered the AWD using the H&R springs yet... Everywhere I've looked they are designated as FWD springs. I haven't seen the suspension on a FWD to compare to my AWD. If you do it, please post results...

I doubt many have done this since the handle is integrated into the door locks and has sensors... What are you looking to do to them?

Sounds like, based on the article jkeaton linked, Chrysler has not released the formula yet... Given that, I wouldn't expect it to be available from aftermarket manufacturers for a while. Luckily, like we have jokingly alluded to, there shouldn't be a need to replace it (outside of work being done on the cooling system) for quite some time. Since you are under warranty you should be able to have any cooling system repairs done at the dealer free of charge for at least a few years; by then someone else will be offering it.

I'd like to see your math... the prices were for the concentrate which would be diluted. Could be even cheaper!

Thanks! No LMGTFY link for me to click on???? Ha! Nice to know.
