Ha! Ummmm.... Last time I saw something that was called a magic bullet it wasn't used for making peanut butter. It was a "massager" of sorts. Maybe that was why the peanut butter was "crappy"! Ha!

LED Headlamps

So they just have the LEDs on the end of the bulb?? Not sure that would work in a projector bowl very well...you really want good light coming from the sides of the bulb in order for it to focus the light better... -

It's just because they aren't focused very well by the reflector bowl. Looking at the light output, I'm guessing they are a little shorter than the stock bulb??? The distance that the light is away from the reflector changes the output and focus significantly. This is one of the reasons that cheap HID kits provide so much scatter even in a housing like ours that has pretty good focus and a nice cutoff... -
Don't quote me on this, but if it were the gas cap I think there is an actual "Gas Cap" message on the newer Dodges... If not, it takes a few key cycles with driving before it will reset. Regardless, there should be a code unless it was erased.

Ha! Yeah, gas is definitely the most spendy fluid you'll be putting in the DJ. I never looked at the coolant, didn't realize they changed it. Anyone have any details as to what is different? If not I could probably Google it another time...

LED Headlamps

Thanks for posting pics... They look like they produce quite a bit of scatter. I have a set of projectors that I am going to retrofit into some different housing though and that should clean up the beam pattern nicely. Just wondering if maybe it is a little more reliable of an option with the longer lifespan of an LED. Do you remember how much a set of bulbs cost and where you got them? If it is affordable I think I may just try them in the projectors to see what the results are... Worst case I put the HIDs that I already have in and take them out. -
I don't have an answer, but have you looked in the owner's manual? Seems like something that the engineers would have thought of... Maybe disconnect the battery for a bit?

Looks great! Is it AWD or FWD? Liking the how the nerf bars make it look lower to the ground... Any further plans beyond springs and exhaust?

Yeah, it's pretty painful, but once you have a gallery its only one or two clicks... Any pics of the output on the road or against a wall? Was it brighter than stock? -

Click on your user name in the top right hand corner of the page and select "My Gallery". From there you should be able to create a gallery and upload pics. -
Bulb out but not burned out
Lobitz68 replied to RedeyeJedi's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Absolutely. Also, Dodges use the "TIPM", which is pretty much a dealer only service item anyways... Thought maybe the socket wasn't fully seated or something simple. -

Easiest way is to use a photohosting site like Photobucket, but I usually place them in my gallery (unlimited space). That way folks like me who usually check out the site on their lunch break can actually see the pics (most businesses block photohosting site from the network so employees don't accidentally download viruses or waste company time)... -
Extended warranty

I don't think anyone accused you of being underhanded... And even if you were getting a "kickback", who cares? I'd rather save a buck and have someone earn a living doing the work to save me the money anyway, and I'm sure others feel the same way. No need to let the fuzzies go! Welcome and thank you for bringing this wonderful deal to the forum (even though it's too late for me)! -

I would check the wiring... Sounds like a loose wire or bad ground. -

I believe that there is only one manufacturer currently making authentic HIR bulbs... Toshiba. -

60k Miles, Time for New Brakes

I agree with Journey_SeXT... The aftermarket is probably cheaper too. -
Yes it will. In fact, lots of people use it to protect their vehicles from the things you list. Make sure it is THICK. Thickness is key to peelability and durability.

They definitely still offer the lifetime bumper to bumper, I got it when I bought mine in March. -

What am searching for? Peoples opinions about my plan? I don't think that I will find anything. I've asked you several times for a constructive conversation about your experiences, but you don't seem interested so I'll let it go. I come on these forums in hopes of learning something new or transferring some of my knowledge to others. When people have knowledge to offer I like to tap into it. You're never too old to learn something new. I was hoping you would share yours, but you just keep saying the same thing over and over and don't want to take the time to help. That is fine. When I fry my stereo I will message you first so you have a chance to say "I (sort of) told you so (without really saying anything at all)!" Until then, thanks for making this a better forum, and enjoy your weekend.
