I skipped bottles and went straight to kegs... I have enough growlers around to bring beer in if I feel the need to bring some with me.

Blind Spot Sensors

Ha! Funny... I only know because I was looking for some other stuff and stumbled across it... -
You are doing all-grains, correct? What is your set up like? Using the big work site coolers for mash tunning?

2014 SXT FWD suspention upgrade to RT
Lobitz68 replied to MacGyver's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
I'm going to agree with bigstr... I don't think it is the "upgrade" you are thinking it is. If you do decide to pull the trigger please document it and post it on the forum. The more info on here the better. -
Successful BIG BRAKE upgrade on 2011 Crew
Lobitz68 replied to FROGBOX's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
I guess "best" depends on the person, but you can get much nicer than OEM brakes for a LOT cheaper than this big brake upgrade.... This would also beef up the brakes enough to keep them from warping. This is a great project and post though. -
Blind Spot Sensors
Lobitz68 replied to chimo79's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
You can get the Lock Pick unit and add reverse, forward, and 2 side cameras... Then, they can be configured to turn on with your turn signal... Aftermarket option, but fully integrated into the oem system... Not a cheap option though, right around $390 USD. -
You can still mess up a beer even with the kit... Cleanliness is definitely key.

Jelly bean stout? Do tell...

Yes, yes it does... Nothing better than a properly prepared piece of meat (no matter the kind). Made me drool a little bit to be honest.

To be fair, I usually use a propane smoker for it's ease of temperature control... So my tending usually consists of going to the kegerator in the garage and filling my pint glass with another homemade beer. The propane is nice for long overnight smokes where I want to get some sleep, or for the dead of the winter when it is -10 degrees F and I want some ribs. Purists will definitely tell me I'm cheating, but until I can afford a nice wood burner ($$$$$$$) I will continue to mainly use propane. I'm quite a novice at the brewing; I have only brewed 5 batches to date, but man is it fun (and cheaper than buying beer too!). I will be making the transition to all-grain brewing this summer and can't wait to take it to the next level.

Switchbacks... Anyone Got Them
Lobitz68 replied to Lobitz68's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
I don't have the DRL's enabled, but I don't particularly like the amber light. With these the turn signal light would be a white light until I turned on the signal. I wouldn't be using them as DRL's, but rather to get rid of the amber light in front. -
Switchbacks... Anyone Got Them
Lobitz68 replied to Lobitz68's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
For those that don't know what switchbacks are, it's basically an LED light that shines white and when the turn signal flashes it turns yellow to keep the vehicle legal. This video does a good job showing it. -
Two of my favorite hobbies these days are long days/nights in front of the smoker and brewing my own beer. Anyone else on the forum doing it? Whats you favorite recipe? What kind of equipment are you using? I'd love to discuss it with fellow enthusiasts on the forum... There are a lot of Canadians on this board too, so if you want to throw hockey into the discussion I'm game!!

Fog light LED DRL covers
Lobitz68 replied to SeoulJourney's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Yeah, they definitely look a lot cleaner... It may be worth it to buy a fog light surround and try and integrate a light into it if you want to get the best quality. It would allow you to customize it to your preferences as well. If you do buy these though, please update us. I'd be very interested in seeing them in action.- 7 replies

Touchscreen Customization
Lobitz68 replied to Lobitz68's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Yeah, I've been doing a lot of research and that is what I have come up with... The REN stereos in the Rams and a few other vehicles allow you to customize them a bit more, but it looks like we don't get that luxury. Oh well... -
Honestly, I think that your only chance here is to have the dealer take a look. The chance that it threw a code is slim at best and the vast majority of shops aren't going to have the expertise to fix this issue. The display is very much a dodge specific part and is not going to be able to be fixed by just anyone. If you want to avoid the dealer as much as possible then I would check local salvage yards and see if you can find a display in a wrecked DJ in the yard. You may still need to have them activate it, but it will likely be cheaper than a replacement through the dealer (if that is the fix)... Good luck and keep us in the loop. Your resolution could very well help someone else down the road.

5 year 100000 km warranty
Lobitz68 replied to journeyfamily's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
While I agree with you, the oem system should be within one psi as they are very accurate. Add to that the fact that the light is what is of concern here and I think that filling it up to the point where the vehicle feels they are inflated correctly makes the most sense. Are you checking them cold, or after you have been driving for a bit? Did this ever clear up? -
Why are you yelling at me? Does it work intermittently or is it completely dead now? There are some posts on here recently about this happening. If you are under warranty I would try and get it replaced. Either way, I think this is probably a dealer only fix... Sorry I can't be of more help, but it sounds like you've done pretty much all you can do without assistance from a dealer.

Agreed... That is pretty much a text book set of symptoms you've got there...

Fog light LED DRL covers
Lobitz68 replied to SeoulJourney's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Kind of expensive... I would imagine you could achieve the same results with something like this a lot cheaper... Though I do like that the are mounted and look clean. http://www.protuninglab.com/unl60whledda.html?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=18283950120 These types of lights are all over the place for quite a bit less.- 7 replies

Installing HID lights on your Journey (step by step)
Lobitz68 replied to email4walker's topic in Accessories, Modifications
What brand fogs do you have? Any chance you want to post some output shots from inside the cabin? Maybe against a wall to see the "cutoff"? Looks good and the fogs match very well.
