  1. Camper, which unit is that? Is it the RB5? Did you have to order all the required parts separately from them? and also previous to this one did you have the 4.3 without the "auto" button on the hvac controls? Thanks for your help
  2. Ive had 22's on mine now for about a week. 265/35/22. They look great in my opinion. I agree that there can be some rubbing. But Ive only noticed this if I turn my wheels 100% in either direction and hit a bump while doing so. When turning them and not hitting a bump they have not rubbed. Some would consider that an issue. I do not. I have not had to turn my wheels to that extreme yet.

  6. Lobitz, I didn't get caliper covers, just had the factory ones painted
  7. Hey Lobitz. Actually I'm not all that concerned with a ton of added features, that would be great though. But I'd be happy if I could just have a larger screen than the 4.3 and keep the same radio. I could always buy a stand alone GPS
  8. Sorry, I don't. Never had it done before, he assured me it would work and so I said go for it. Luckily he was right. I had it done at one of the bigger tire and wheel shops here in Houston. I know nothing about the process. I've got to go by there at some point this week so I'll be happy to ask him
  9. I paid $60 to have all 4 painted. They were done high temp. Had wheels installed and calipers painted, in and out of shop in 1 hour. I was worried at first about driving with them being freshly painted, he assured me with the high temp process they used it would not be a problem. It appears he was right. I drove my wife around town shopping for the rest of the day (after dropping cash on wheels I had to let her shop too) and no signs of a problem with the paint. That was on Saturday. I've gone about 150 to 200 miles since without issue
  10. Ive read some old post on here where the 4.3 was difficult to replace and still have the ac work properly. Anyone successfully done this without breaking the bank?
  11. Yes. Had them done at same time I got the wheels. Choices were either red or black. Went with the red. I think it adds a little something.
  12. My initial goal was to go with 20's. Once at the shop I was offered these 22's for the same price as the 20's I was going to get. I was concerned about fitment and possibly some rubbing but I haven't had any issues yet.
  13. New to the forum. Just got a 2012 Journey last week. Ive been watching the forums since then to see what others had to say about mods I'm considering. So far Ive really enjoyed the DJ, first thing I did was change the wheels but I'm disappointed about the things Ive read regarding the the 4.3 system and the difficulty with upgrading. I was hoping I could just buy an aftermarket GPS touchscreen to replace the small factory one but I'm finding out this is not possible. Bummer.
