Maybe, I dunno. Compounds make a big difference. Not sure if they're the same between 17" and 19". Got just over 50k outa my Avenger 17" stock tires. I upped the profile 1 size on the replacements, and 35k later they barely show any wear. Thought I would need to replace before winter but I doubt it. I'll have em checked out either way, might do the fronts for peace of mind.

That makes sense, I was pretty sure Chatham was in Ontario. BC is awesome, expensive, but awesome.

Ditto. Probably get something different when the time comes. I dunno if you can up the profile to 60 or have to go to a 235 to get more options. Everything that ive read and heard, the Kumho's get 36k miles or less. Not a big deal, im sure that better replacements can be had in the $800/set range +/-

Yeah we head over there a lot. Have some family in Tecumseh and friends in Belle River.

Chatham is still Ontario as far as I know B)

I was debating between a 2014 Mercedes GLK and the 2014 DJ ( I know, big difference ). The GLK was stickered at just over 42k for basically a base model with minor upgrades. That being said, it was standard with "pleather", tiny in dash screen that was basically a radio display, no available 3rd row seats ( no room for it ) but did have standard AWD (4-matic). You wanna talk about let downs, that vehicle was unimpressive for the price. EVERYTHING is an upgrade, and a big money one at that. You want real leather? Shell out another $1850. Want an actual radio? How about a sunroof, auto dimming mirrors and a built in garage door opener ( standard on crossroads ) That'll be another $3650 with Benz. Rear view camera with a whopping 7" screen, voice control, and navigation? Another $3000.... So it was really a no brainer. The features included on a DJ were just better. There was no "wow" factor with the MB, and for the money they're asking, there should be. The ride quality wasn't even that good. For over 50k my butt should feel like its floating on a pillow. The DJ actually had a nicer ride quality, more features and roughly half the price. Theres a couple things im not a fan of, but not gonna lose any sleep over it.

I hear ya, I "upgraded" my charger to the MyGig BS system, that plays DVD's (in park only) and Navigation that works in (park only). Worst money spent ever. So this time I didn't get suckered into a bunch of useless crap. No backup camera, I have 3 working mirrors, and I know how to use them. Didn't get the "full leather", two tone is fine. No upgraded sound, factory upgraded sound is still sub par to almost any aftermarket system (even a cheap one). No navigation, not dealing with that crap again, or having to talk to a voice recognition system....I have google maps on my phone, it works great.

We are We're not arguing, we're discussing.....big difference

Just sayin instead of sinking big money into a DJ, the cost to benefit just isn't there. By the time you'd spent enough, you may as well have bought and SRT8. That was my point. Its just an opinion, that's all.

After coming from a 5.7 to a 3.6...its just not the same. Doesn't seem like any point except for noise, or to give the illusion of "toughness" Kinda like putting makeup on Rosanne Arnold....it doesn't do much. To each their own I suppose. Im all for changing things up and customizing, but on this vehicle i'd leave it at appearance only. Any HP gains are going to be marginal at best unless you sink some big coin in the motor, in which case I'd just buy an SRT8 Cherokee.

Don't....mess...with...the exhaust. It does NOTHING except make cabin noise. Nothing, Zip, Zilch, Nada....Could put tips and leave the mufflers alone and get the same look without the drone.
-
You'll need brakes, tires, plugs and more before coolant. I usually sell all my vehicles before 100k anyways.
-
Right, but without a proper tune, its useless...basically.
-
I don't get it, what is an intake going to do for this vehicle? That's probably why theres none out there. An exhaust wont do much except add more noise and drone while you drive.

They don't spin....

They have different styles, you can get them with LED's on the top/front only with a projector lens over the top (sorta) Then they have the style with LED's around the bulb, I think mine has 16. The light output is more than a standard halogen BUT its divided amongst 16 diodes. Projectors would be best, don't think they're suited for our reflectors. Ill dig up some stock photos when I get a chance. -
Roughly .15/oz. Can get spendy depending on your spread rate and/or mix rate to jelly. I tried making mine at home with my wifes "magic bullet" that she never uses.....it was crappy.
-
Wow, the cost of 100k coolant is only .0004/mile. Its a deal breaker... Where as fuel costs roughly .15/mile Synthetic oil runs ( from the shop I go to ) .013/mile and standard oil is .013/mile

Aliexpress, China. $30 for the set of bulbs and $6 for the error eliminators, all with free shipping. They make several different styles of bulbs, I tried to find ones that had LED's completely around the fixture. Figured that was the best option given the design of the reflectors in the vehicle. Projectors would be best actually, they focus the light better. The bulbs also don't get nearly as hot as HID's or Halogens, but they do get warm. I figured they were cheap enough to take a gamble, and guinea pig them for my bike. Although my bike has completely different reflectors, scatter would actually be better on my motorcycle. We have deer all over around here, and the way the beam is currently, you basically see whats directly in front of you. Not good if theres an animal on the shoulder waiting to ruin your day. Hoping the LED's will spill off to the sides a bit more.
