  1. Well, I copied this thread as mentioned. The harness is tied somewhere near the steering column. It has to be unhooked, and plugged into the sensor. I have both the harness and the sensor. Then all I would need is the light switch with the detent for AUTO. Now, the bummers: Dealer tech told me that they would have to take most of the dash board apart to plug the harness into the sensor! It would probably cost around $2,000 in labor. I'll just keep mine as it is. Why wouldn't the harness be plugged into the sensor during manufacturing?
  2. I set my daytime to 10, my night time to 7. I do not use the AUTO setting because I can't figure out how it works. I think I have tried every combination but I can not get the display to go to 7 when I turn on my lights. So at dusk, when I turn on my lights and it becomes dark enough to dim the display, I turn the dimmer rotating knob down one notch. Display goes to 7. I always keep the rotating knob one detent below where it turns on the interior lights. By doing this, say in rain, when lights may be called for, the display does not go to 7. It stays bright @10 with the lights on.
  3. Indiana has a lot of stupid laws concerning cars/trucks, but I highly doubt that they are all enforced. I'm still considering the tint.
  4. Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that I can not answer your question.
  5. I own an iPhone5s and use it for Nav. The USB in the console also charges the device plugged.into it. One I add my whereto address, the phone stays on all of the time, until I get there, and is constantly being charged. Siri gives me directions through the car's speakers, dimming the sound so I can hear her. I was going to buy another Garmin, but my phone works just as good and map updates are free.
  6. All the windows are tinted from the factory except the driver's door and front passenger door, I would like the front doors to match the rest of my DJ.
  7. Here is a toast to your perseverance.
  8. If no obvious leaks, could be leaking within the master cylinder.
  9. I read that they will keep the DJ. The Durango is a stretched GC. My guess is that the new DJ will be a stretched Cherokee.
  10. I could still be stopped for having it done. Same if tail lights are tinted too dark.
  11. It was nice when the mygigs were in use. They could be swapped from car to car with no dealer intervention.
  12. When installing my rear view camera, my dealer had the left rear interior panel off. There did not seem to be enough space for a decent sub.
  13. I had 20" wheels on my Nitro. There was not a lot available in 20" tires. I'm finding out the same thing with the 19". You may have to downsize your wheels, to 17", to find what you are looking for. That is what the Nitro guys had to do.

    Dash Kit

The only kit that I saw only covers the passenger side. Sort of weird. In the Crossroad, that piece that goes across the dash is referred to as Liquid Graphite! It actually changes color from one side to the other! The kit that I purchased does not cover any of this. I did see another kit that covers just the ends, around the vents. I did not like that either.

    Dash Kit

Which gray strip are you referring to?
  16. Welcome to the forum. I updated my 5s to iOS8. Uconnect is working on a fix for the new Apple Phones and iOS8. Mine worked fine, until I updated. Phone still works as before, but it will only play my music by song in alphabetical order. If I want to hear something specific, I have to set the phone to play it before I get into the DJ. Then, it only plays the album, then goes back to the songs from the beginning of my library. All of my music is on my phone; no iPod. It used to think my phone was an iPod, but not anymore. And, no album artwork displays no matter what I try to do. I'll Jump to an iPhone 6 in February. Hopefully Uconnect will have the fix done. I have spent countless hours on the phone with both Apple and Uconnect. The problem is with Uconnect.
  17. Welcome to the forum. Awesome Christmas present!
  18. It seems that dealer is just trying to suck the $ out of your wallet. Not very good Customer Service, IMHO.
  19. Lucky that the air bags did not deploy. Lot of $ fixing that kind of damage. If it is totaled, will you stick with Copperhead Pearl?
  20. I wanted to do mine, but it is against the law in Indiana. Hopefully, I can find someone who will do this for me.

    Cell Phone Holder

It looks like mine. What is it attached to?
  22. Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus. Not aggressive like an off road tire, but I wanted my Crossroad to look like the Red show Crossroad Dodge was showing off around the country last summer. This is the only picture that I have taken so far. The Crossroad wheels have a deeper dish, so the tires stick out farther It was too dark out. The sun has not shown here for two weeks! All of the other pictures I took the tires got lost in the wheel wells. I'm still trying!
  23. Welcome to the forum. When they took your DJ to the dealer, did they put it inside, or leave it outside? The same thing happened to me with my brand new 2006 Jeep Commander. Once it got to the dealer, the service manager walked around it 3 times; constantly locking and unlocking the doors. It worked. But to be on the safe side, he ordered a new WCM: Wireless Control Module. I realize that a lot has changed since 2006, but the DJ may have a WCM.
  24. Try moving the wires CCW, one at a time in the connector.
