There must be a reason that millions of people all around the world will wait hours in front of an Apple Store to get the latest and greatest new device. I was an avid Google (Android) user until Google started adding all of those preinstalled aps that I would never use, constantly begging me to update them: no way to delete them! There are very few preinstalled aps on an iPhone; some I use, some I don't but I have never been bothered with telling me there is an update. I owned the first Android Phone: T-Mobile G1. Then T-Mobile G2, Then Samsung Galaxies all the way up to III. That is when I had enough with the preinstalled aps, and switched to Apple. Plus, Google lets each phone manufacturer add what they want to the OS. Apple is closed. All of the ap makers come out with the iOS version first. What does that tell you. Ford is going to use the BB system only on on top of the line vehicles; the bottom rung versions get stuck with Microsoft! I wish that BB had kept up with Apple way back when!

I'm going to have to take a trip over to my Dealer's to check out the DJ lineup. I thought that the only difference was the platinum bull bar.

Did your Dealer do a search for you to see if what you wanted was sitting on another lot?

I would check to see if it threw any codes. At least you would have a place to start. Or, just a one time deal!

I think that I have the 8.4/RE2, but it does not state that on my Window Sticker. All my Window Sticker states: 8.4-Inch Touch Screen Display, Uconnect 8.4CD/DVD/MP3, Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth. It does not have NAV. I purchased a mount that clips to the vent; I use my iPhone for Nav. I'll be able to Jump to the iPhone6 in Feb, so the bigger screen will be nice. As part of my purchase deal, I wanted the back up camera installed. They had to check if my radio was compatible. It was. I guess that it only works with certain radios. Apple is developing a car system: the screen will mimic the iPhone"s screen. I'm not sure who is going to use it.

I am thoroughly enjoying my Crossroad. I do have the mesh in my seats.

What features are missing? I am satisfied with the 8.4 that I have.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you received some useful information on where to start. Do the rest of the interior lights work? Or, are you talking about the lights on the back of the sunvisors?

The bottom part of the bumper on mine is black from the factory.

When the left rear panel was off of mine at the Dealer for the rear view camera install, there did not seem to be enough room for a decent sub box. As you said, the left rear 3rd row seat was out also.

If they are anything like the Nitros, you need to remove the trim across the top and bottom of the hatch. They should be held in place with metal friction clips. Use a panel removal tool if you have one, so as to not ding the edges of the plastic trim. I just went out and looked at my DJ. The Nitro had exposed screws for the cargo hooks, which screwed into metal behind the panel. I did not see any screws on the DJ, but I'm guessing that they have to be removed, along with the four round hooks for the cargo net. Then the hole panel should just pull out; held in place with metal friction clips also.

My Dealer had to replace my TIPM on my Nitro. The outcome was my rear wiper starting acting just like yours. My Dealer then ordered a rear wiper motor and the problem stopped - back to normal!

Where to you plan to put the Halos? I'm still trying to figure out where to put LED strips to use as DRLs.

I have had mine for a little over 5 months, and have not been to the dealer once, other to install items that I bargained for when I purchased it - rear view camera, molded mud guards, front license plate bracket and Radio Software update. Your excellent write up gives me a lot of confidence to look forward to in the remainder of my first year of ownership, especially driving in the snow with FWD. Thank you for the post.

Disconnect the negative terminal for at least /2 hour for radio issues. This should reset the radio. There is a small battery, so you shouldn't lose any of your presets.

Nice job. I used to be able to do this. I would faithfully totally clean the car/truck right before winter set in, but no more: failed back surgery. So now I just buy a monthly pass to the car wash and can get as many Works washes that I need: especially to get the salt off! Man, they do look good in black!

I only buy Mopar from one Dealer. They are a Five Star, if that still means anything anymore. I haven't watched the 3 main networks, ABC, NBC, and NBC, for years. Their reporting is biased, and opinion orientated. They do not report the news as it is, and their programming is horrible.

Sad to see a Copperhead Pearl Beauty in pain. They redid some roads around my house, and the easiest entrance is now gone. Everytime I turn into another entrance, which I never used, I feel as though I'm going to get rear ended. So far, so good.
