With both the SD card and my iPhone5s, turning Gracenote on or off made no difference: the SD showed no artwork, and the iPhone5s showed some. I had just downloaded 2 albums from the iTunes Store. Artwork displays on my computer and phone, but not on the 8.4 screen! This is when I spent hours on the phone with Apple and Uconnect. Apple was stumped. Uconnect no longer works with Gracenote, but is working on a fix (?). Of course, this is before I downloaded iOS8. Now, music is a mess! Is there a way for me to change all my music, to have an ID3 tag, all at once, or do I have to do each song one by one? If there is an easy way to do this, I'll Buy another SD card! I'm a perfectionist: if the radio is made to display album artwork, then I WANT TO SEE IT! LOL

When you disconnect the negative terminal on your battery, you purge any stored memory in the computer - just like restarting your computer. For radio issues, you should wait at least 1/2 hour. The radio has a small battery, so your presets and phone pairings should not need to be reset.

When you feel the shake, let go of the steering wheel. If the car still tracks straight, your alignment is OK. If it pulls to one side or the other, this would indicate alignment is out. I agree that it could be a balance issue. What kind of wheels do you have? My Crossroad wheels have no lip; therefore there are stick on paste weights on the inside of the wheel. If your wheels have no lip, and use stick on weights, these are known to fall off. This could cause the shake. My Dad used to call it a shimmy: this indicated ball joints or tie rods on the older cars.

Your front tire placement looks approximately like mine. 255/50R19 mounted on factory Crossroad wheels. I wish that the weather would cooperate so I could take pictures. Want her clean!

The SD slot is directly above the CD slot. I bought an SD card at Best Buy, loaded all my music on it, pluged it in, but no artwork displayed. This is when I found out that once Album Art work is loaded on an Apple product, in my case iTunes, the file becomes a proprietary file belonging to Apple, and will copy only to another Apple Product. So, I erased the SD card, and brought it back to Best Buy. I contemplated buying an iPod, but with T-mobile's Jump program, I upgraded to a phone that will hold all of my music. Then, some of the art displayed, some did not. Neither Uconnect nor Apple could give me a reason for this. Then, I totally hosed myself my updating my phone to iOS8. Phone is fine; music is toast, until Uconnect sends out an update for iOS8. The SD card is the cheapest and easiest way to load and play your music, if you don't care about the Album Art displaying, but I did not have it long enough to play with it; to see how much control I could have with my music.

I had a Lockpick on my Nitro. If I touched the Uconnect button 2x in rapid succession, the BU Camera would come on! Good feature to see what is actually going on behind me. Two quick hits would turn it off. I miss that feature. It does not work in the DJ.

Mine has a slight vibration when the transmission locks up, until it get warmed up. So, once a feel the vibration, I put it in 5 to unlock it. This morning, I came to a light, and forgot to move it back to D. It will start in 5! The engine really revs!

Can you copy your iTunes Library from your computer to the external HD? If so, use the USB and the Radio will think it is an iPod. It may take a while to recognize the files before it will play.

Since I bought my DJ too fast, without fully checking it out, ( I assumed leather = seat heaters) I'm having a Katzkin Seat Heater Kit installed on my drivers side today. Katzkin can not install a kit on the passenger seat; only on the back because of some kind of sensor on the seat bottom. I have the flip front seat with the storage underneath. My Nitro had the Fold Flat passenger seat, so I don't think this has anything to do with it. So, I decided not to install the passenger side seat back. Mopar used to make seat heaters for the DJ, located in the Accessory Catalog, until the year that Dodge changed the interior. I do not know the year of the major update to the DJ. The controls for the seat heaters are in the display screen, under Controls - stupid idea, IMHO. There should be knobs/switches visible all the time. This is just another way to distract the driver. The Katzkin kit puts the switch on the side of the seat, where all of the seat controls are located. I'll take a picture one I get home.

I loved the 20" Mopar Polished and Painted 20" wheels I had on my Nitro. Too bad they wouldn't fit my DJ. I got comments all the time. No one knew they were factory!

I am doing the : Start, Shift to N, and wait for the garage door to open. Clunk is gone. Thank you for the tip. As I mentioned, I never really feel the transmission from this point on, except when I need to pass a car. So, Life is Good!

Could be a bad ignition switch if you say all the lights were on. Where was the key fob when this happened?

I'm new here; so, glad to meet you. My wife died of Breast Cancer a little over 2 years ago. I still have not accepted that she is not coming home. I have no idea how long this takes. Like you, I have no intentions of marrying again, but one never knows how life works out. Bought my DJ at the end of June; my Nitro was the last thing I had that we shared, besides the house.

Do both of you have 5 or 7 passenger Crossroads? I would like to get the cargo cover, but I'm told they only fit the 5 passenger Crossroads.

I have been dealin What mp3 player are you using? I have been dealing with the same issue since June, when I purchased my DJ: some artwork displays, some does not. Even iTunes albums purchased from iTunes will not display art. All of my music is on my iPhone5s. I am able to Jump to the iPhone 6 in February. I spent many hours on the phone with both Apple and Uconnect. Uconnect no longer works with Gracenote. I updated to iOS8 and now my music is screwed - nothing plays right, but the phone works fine. I did learn that once you load a CD with artwork to your iTunes library, the Album artwork file (Gracenote) becomes a proprietary file that belongs to Apple. It will only display on an Apple device. I'm patiently waiting for Uconnect to come out with a fix for iOS8. Until then, I listen to The Spectrum on Sirius. I'm not sure about the Alpine factory speakers, but the Infinity factory systems still use crap paper speakers; even the sub. I do not have the Alpine system. I went to Best But and purchased 2 sets of Alpine speakers for the doors. The sound changed 100%. Kicker makes an amplified Sub that fits under the seat. So, none of my speakers will be paper! I picked the Alpines because they put out the most bass, when compared to the other speakers on the Best Buy speaker wall. I found an Alpine Factory Amp on ebay right after I purchased by DJ. Buy it now $100.00. The tech at Best Buy, who has been doing my vehicles for many years told me to save my $.. He told me that it was junk and if I wanted some more punch to add the above mentioned sub. Even with my new Alpine Speakers, I can get the mirrors to vibrate, depending on what song id playing. So, this satisfies me. The Kicker powered underseat sub lists for around $300, but I haven't been able to find the specs on it yet. When I turn the volume up to 20, it is really loud; impressive for a non-amplified stock HU.

I will try this. I get an occasional clunk going from Park to Reverse first thing in the AM. After this initial clunk, I can barely hear/feel the transmission upshift/downshift.

I was "unlucky" not to have the better system, but maybe lucky after all! The up-grade infinity system in the Nitro still used crap paper speakers. I'd be curious to see what the upgrade speakers in the DJ are made of. I replaced all of my door speakers with 6x9 Alpines. No one makes a replacement speaker for the dash speakers. That is why Crutchfield does not even list them. So, I am stuck with them, but they don't sound so bad in unison with the Alpines. My plan is to get an underseat, amplified Kicker sub, and be done with it. Swapping out the door speakers made a huge difference. I chose the Alpines because they put out more bass than the other speakers on the Best Buy display wall. I loaded all of my CD's, one by one, into my iTunes Library. It took a lot of time just to get the artwork, so I don't think that I will be going back and changing the EQ on each CD! But, it doesn't matter any way. Only a few of the artwork displayed; Uconnect no longer works with Gracenote; and, I upgraded to iOS8 so now nothing works, as far as music goes! Glad I got the free Sirius for a year! Last time I spoke with Uconnect, they are working on a fix for iOS8. My phone works fine: itunes are a mess.
