  1. Something to look forward to. Thank you for the post.
  2. Not to be. They have been on National Back Order for months. Has something to do with making snow tires. The Destination ST is considered a Summer Performance Tire. Dodge must have paid a pretty penny for the set on the Red Show Crossroad that Dodge showed around the country last summer. I tried to order a set today. No deal; so I settled on a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus, P255/50R19, the same size as the Show Firestone Destination St's. Dry Performance: Best. Wet Performance: Best. Winter Performance: Better. Snow Performance: Better. Once it snows, I will let you know how they perform. These tires actually cost $217.51 more than a set of the Destination ST and they have a 15,000 mile greater tread life! Now, my Crossroad should look like it is supposed to look, based on the pictures taken at the Chicago Auto Show and now I know why Dodge is selling the Crossroads with the crap Khumos, instead of the Destination ST. BTW, these tires are .15" taller on sidewall height, .3" bigger in diameter, and 1.18" wider when compared to stock. Speedometer will read 65.67 @ 65 mph. I can live with this. The wheels on the Red Show Crossroad are the same wheels as my Crossroad. At least something is right! Pictures to come!

    Dodge Rampage Concept

The Avalanche has been canceled this year, and the Ridgeline will soon see its demise. The dumbest part of the Ridgeline was that the spare was in a compartment below the bed. Consider this: bed full of mulch, and you get a flat tire. I like this idea. Clean up some of the awkward styling. Probably would be labeled as a Ram. There is room in the Ram family for a small pickup, since the Ram is so big. Similar to, but smaller than the new GM small trucks: similar to the Ranger. Perfect size. Mopar could build both.
  4. I'm planning on mounting a set of Firestone Destination St tires. From all that I have read, they have excellent traction in the snow, and their wet performance is Best. If these tires were good enough for Dodge when they displayed the new Crossroad across the country, they are good enough for me! That leaves me with a set of Khumos with about 2,000 miles on them!
  5. That picture was definitely a photoshop, albeit a good job. Look at the area around the front side marker lights - things don't line up. Anyhow, I do not believe the present coupling for the AWD could take the added torque of a turbocharged engine. I could be wrong. Maybe the SRT would be FWD only. I'd love to see a turbo version of the Pentastar. The SRT could be a possibility before a body change. Since the Dart is based on an Alfa Romeo chassis, it could take an SRT version very easily. And there already is a good 4wd version of this chassis in the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Since the Journey is based on the Avenger, that chassis is beefier to begin with. Maybe it would be easy to add an SRT version to the present model. Time will tell.
  6. The installation of the camera was not very easy. The trim panel on the tailgate had to be removed, the left rear third row seat had to be removed, the left rear interior panel had to be removed, and a lot of trim pieces along the left side to hide the wires. The radio screen had to be removed, along with a lot of dash board trim. This is something that I would not want to attempt on my own. The book says 2 hours of labor, so that is all they charged me. My Dealer bought the camera - around $300! The view is awesome; from the top of the rear bumper back. Now, I'm all set for my hitch. I have the oil cooler and the harness back to the spare. I will let my Dealer do this installation also.
  7. Found this thread. Now I see why you are partial to Copperhead Pearl when I posted the pictures of mine. The blacked out parts on the Crossroad make them look like entirely different! I have never seen another one in this color on the road. My Dealer just got in a new one identical to mine. Nice ride.
  8. It is built into the the black piece that has the license plat lights.
  9. Where would you get one? Maybe there are pictures.
  10. Welcome to the forum. We need to start a Crossroad club. I had my dealer add the back up camera as part of my deal. I don't use a remote start because I keep it in the garage. I have yet to see another Crossroad on the road.
  11. Did you guys all give up on switching out your lights, or are the harnesses different?
  12. I really like the windshield sticker. Did you make it yourself? Do you thing that you could get me one that says: CROSSROAD ? I'm willing pay whatever! Are your blacked out headlight bezels the same as the ones on the Crossroad?
  13. I think that they worked off of the AC unit, but that part must have been on all the time. I think the the Cobalt had one too, but I'm not sure. It would be more convenient to have it in a more accessible spot!
  14. Muth Corp makes one where the image is in the rear view mirror, but I do not know if it is wireless or wired. I had the Mopar camera installed by my Dealer. The Mopar camera only works with the 8.4 screen, and gives a pretty good view. In Indiana, we can't block any of the writing on the plate, so a plate camera was not a choice for me.
  15. I thought that you meant that I had to remove the whole tailgate interior panel to get the lights out! Now, I reread your posts and see what you are talking about. FYI: they are 7mm, not 8mm. As I assumed, the inside connections are similar/same as the outside connections. The housing is also stamped 13.5v so the ballast for the LEDs is also in the housing. I'm betting that the connections are the same for either type of bulb. Let me know.
  16. I put Red MGP caliper covers on my Nitro. They showed through the 20" wheels. They are made of aluminum. The paint and aluminum are both high temperature so I doubt if they would melt. The only thing that concerns me is the distance between the Crossroad 19" wheel and the front caliper. The rear seems to be fine. The seller says minimum is 1/8" and I have been reassured that they will fit.
  17. Initially, my Crossroad with the 3.6 Pentastar averaged about 15.5 around town. Most of my driving is in town, and now I'm between 16.5 and 17.5. I had to go to Columbus Ohio, and on the interstate it was reading 36.5 @ 74 mph! I can't believe the difference between my Nitro and DJ. Am totally satisfied. I may add a K&N filter. BTW, I keep my center display set to mpg, and reset it every time I fill it up.
  18. I like these alot. My previous ride was a 2011 Silver Nitro and I added some red accents to it. Do not change the wheel color. Just paint or cover the brake calipers with red. What kind of paint did you use? I was unsure of what the difference was between the Blacktop and the Crossroad. My dealer just got a white Blacktop in. They share some parts, but are distinctively different. I would like to add a pinstripe, but I'm not sure what color to use on my Copperhead Pearl. Since the accents are satin silver, maybe I can find a satin silver pinstripe. I'm toying with the idea of adding red caliper covers, because the covers are so evident between my wheel spokes, at least on the front. I have to think hard about this one, because I'm trying to visualize the look.
  19. I actually like the red on the silver. Keep your wheels black and paint or cover the caliper covers with red to match. My previous ride was a 2011 silver Nitro that I put some red accents on. I was unsure of what the difference was between the Blacktop and the Crossroad. My dealer just got a new Blacktop version in, and I compared it to my Crossroad. Some parts shared, other differences. But at least now I know. I would like to do a pin stripe, but I can't decide what color would match Copperhead Pearl.
  20. I'll wait for you to check you outboard lights before I attempt to remove the hatch interior panel. The bolts on each side of my 2014 are torx, but I'm not sure of the size.
  21. I suppose if you put some ice in the rear floor compartments they could be considered beer coolers. But, they are very hard to reach while driving.
  22. My 2014 Crossroad did not come with a sunroof, auto dimming mirrors (except the one inside) and a built in garage door opener. These must be options. My garage door opener clips fine to the sunvisor, and since I keep the Heat/AC on auto, I don't need a sunroof. In fact, I never even open the windows. Excellent system. As far as music, I added 4 6x9 Alpine 2-way speakers to my stock system and the sound is 100% better. Now I am looking for the underseat amplified sub that Kicker makes.
