    Front

As soon as I saw it, I had to have it! Now I'm seeing that Mopar uses on other models also. Funny, I never noticed before!

    Front 3 Quarter

As soon as I saw it, I had to have it. I was having trouble getting in and out of my 2011 Nitro. Failed back surgery. I went into my dealer to ask if they could go to the auction and find me a 2010 Jeep Commander Limited or Overland, the only stipulation being it had to have QDII. But, then I saw this beauty and had to have it. Now, I'm second guessing my decision not getting AWD with all the snow. I have read a lot on the forum that the Khumos are crap, so maybe I'll just change the tires. I have a couple of threads/posts started concerning the largest diameter tire that will fit on a 19" wheel without rubbing.
  3. Bump, bump. Anyone install 245/55R19s? If so, any issues?
  4. My 2014 Crossroad came 225/55R19 Khumos. Anyone know if 245/55R19s will fit? .9" wider and .9" bigger in diameter over the stock tires. Might help fill out the empty wheel openings! LOL
  5. Is the Crossroad black grill and blacked out headlights what you are looking for?

    Where do you live?

Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Land of The Flat!
  14. I was going to start a new thread concerning what is the largest tire we can run with the 19" wheels. This post has a neat chart, so I figured that I would bring it up to date. There is also a thread concerning the space between the front tire and strut. Stock size is 225/55R19: 28.7" dia., 8.9" wide Next size: 235/55R19: 29.2" dia., 9.3" wide Third size: 245/55R19: 29.6"dia., 9.7"wide. Difference from stock = + .9"dia., + .9" width. According to the chart: 3.01% increase. Anyone know what is the largest tire that can be installed with out rub issues on Factory 19" wheels? I know that this is not a Jeep Forum, but there is a lot of empty space in the wheel wells.
  15. I purchased a 2014 DJ Crossroad 2 months ago. I never considered AWD, because as soon as I saw this Copper Pearl beauty, I knew I had to have it. This is my first non 4wd vehicle in over 20 years. I had a Bronco II, Subaru, 2 Ford Explorers, Jeep GC, Jeep Liberty, Dodge Durango (Lemon), Jeep Commander with QD II - wow! (forced to sell it because of my wifes health), and finally a Dodge Nitro that I bought new in 2011. So, now the Dodge Journey. Winter is coming - soon, I think because some of the trees are already turning here in NE Indiana. Will I be OK with FWD or do I need to trade it for an AWD? I realize that I will loose $ doing this, but I only have 1,200 miles on the DJ so far. Any advice will be helpful. I did read it is better to start in 2nd. Thanks But a search of the internet provided nothing except cars for sale or reviews.
  16. It will look similar to the Cherokee, but extended for a third row just like the Durango is an extended Grand Cherokee for the third row. Sad.
  17. When Fiat took over Chrysler, Sir Sergio whined, bitched and moaned about the badge engineered cars. Now, we'll have 5 based on the same car: Dart, Journey, Avenger (they decided to keep it!), 200, and Cherokee. Soon, the Wagoneer alongside the Durango! We already have the Charger/300. WTF?
  18. I'm not sure if they are a Mopar accessory. I found them on ebay. Search: dodge journey mopar. A dealer in Ma. is selling them. I started a thread in the "lights" section. The lights come with nothing except the housings, and you have to buy the right and left side separately. My dealer did find a harness. The part number is 68080316AD. $68. The bulb number is 7740, per my dealer. The dealer in Ma told me that there was not a harness for the DJ! I just wired them into my tail lights. Since the ballast for the LEDs is located in the housing, there is 12v going to the light. The harness to the left rear connector has three wires: black, white, white with silver stripe. Black is ground, and the white with silver stripe is the tail lights. I cut the 2 wires, and soldered everything together. I bought 18ga wire to have enough wire to run up to the tail light. The fog light housings snap into the bumper exactly like the reflectors. The intensity of the fog lights is in between the tail lights and the brake lights. No issues yet, but I have only had them on for less than a week..
  19. Enjoy the pictures. I am sure enjoying the car. I added the Mopar cross bars and a Mopar rubber mat to cover the third row carpet. BTW, I have added Rear Fog Lights since taking these pictures. The lights look slightly different than the reflectors, but they snap in exactly the same way.
  20. Are these the ones from China? I found a set on ebay, but I'm not buying anything from China. I like the 2 colored signal light. Is the high beam on all the time? Lingenfelter, the Company that does Hot Corvettes, is about 30 miles from me. They are a dealer for Oracle Lighting. One of these days, I'm going to drive down there and see if it is possible to add a set of LEDs and use them as DRLs. Since I have a 2014, I do not have the code to allow the factory DRLs to be turned on.. I like the idea of the projectors. How much do they improve the light output over stock? Good looking lights!
  21. FYI: As far as brightness, they are brighter than the tail lamps, but not as bright as the brake lights.
  22. The ballast is built into the tail light housing. If you have a connector that has 3 wires: white with a silver stripe, white and black, they should plug right in and work. For 2014, the incandescents bulbs are still available on the lowest priced DJ. I highly doubt if there are 2 distinct wiring harnesses. I pulled my connector off of my left rear LED: 12v at the connector which is why I believe that the ballast that reduces the voltage for the LEDs is built into the housing.
  23. The part number for the harness is:68080316AD. The harness has clips at each end to keep the wires away from the exhaust tips. My Crossroad has duals. The bulb number is 7440. What is weird is that each light has its' own power source, but they share a common ground. If there was a corresponding plug for an existing existing harness, it would be on the drivers side. No luck. I did look on both sides. I did find a harness that dead ended right in the middle of the spare beside the bumper cover, but it was not the same shape. Maybe this is for a trailer wire harness. So, I cut off the harness end, and bared all 3 wires. Then I removed my left rear tail light, and unplugged it. Then I turned on my lights. I stuck the bared black wire into the hole for the corresponding black wire on the tail lamp harness end, and took a lucky guess with the white wire with the silver stripe. One bulb lit! Did the same thing with the orange wire and the other bulb lit. So, I will combine the white and orange wires from the harness and splice them into the white with silver stripe wire to the tail light and splice the black ground wires together. Then these rear fogs will only come on with my lights. My front fogs are set to come on as soon as I turn on my lights. The Freemont has an entirely different rear bumper with different rear fog lights, so I do not know where these rear fog lights would have been used. But, they do fit a multitude of Mopar vehicles. Once installed, I will post a picture and let you guys know if the lights do a better job at keeping the dirt out of the indent in the bumper.
