Get a set of Crossroad Rims and mount P255/50R19s on them! The Crossroad rims have a slightly deeper dish.

Welcome to the forum. The DJ is basically FWD, even with AWD. AWD kicks in when wheel spin is detected, even when going around corners. Had my FWD for two winters now. To me, the AWD is unnecessary weight.

Newer ones have a real light switch. Wiper stalk is on the left now, where the lights used to be. Stalk would be in the way of the start/stop button.

I have stitched (gray) leather door panels that came with the car. That is all that I can tell you. I'm just going by what is written on the website, and my door sticker.

Original Alpine speakers are crap paper. The Kickers are a silver polymer. They sound 100% better. The BA System in my Commander used crap paper speakers too. Money well spent! I wish that I had known that these would have been still available. I never would have bought the Alpine speakers that I did. Although, they do sound good, IMHO.

FYI. Disconnecting the battery will not affect your radio presets.

Possible to use Fog Lights as DRL?
dhh3 replied to DJDiggler's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
I don't think so. The DRLs run off of the CanBus, and I don't believe that there is a separate wire for them. It's like auto lights: just change a sensor and the switch and have the Dealer add the Sales Code, and activate them (when they add the Sales Code back on the list!). DRLs: Add the sales code, and the Dealer activates them. No wires. -
I am very upset and unhappy. Engine ticking
dhh3 replied to TheJackal's topic in Engine & Transmission
Which engine? Could also be an electrical tick (arc). Find a really dark place, and search all around the top of the engine. Also, why is it Dodge's fault that you purchased a 6 year old vehicle? -
Where?

So I had my cylinder head replaced. . .

I will pray for you. -
Welcome to the forum. Since you bought it it used, it is "used" to the previous driver's habits. Have the Dealer recalibrate it for you. Then, drive it normal for you. It will "learn" your driving habits and adjust for you. I bought mine new. I rarely feel it shift.

Make sure the valve caps are not metal. The pressure sensors valve stems are made of aluminum and if you put another type of metal cap on them, you run the risk of the caps welding themselves to the stems, and thus snapping off the stems when you try to remove the caps. I found plastic chrome caps with the Mopar M on them, on eBay.

2014 Dodge Journey Daytime Running Lights
dhh3 replied to eakeen2002's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Are the Auto Headlights Code back on the list? ET264901? -
Technical Service Bulletin. A possible problem, but not big enough for a Recall. If you are under warranty, the Dealer will fix it, no charge. If your warranty has expired, you will have to pay to have it addressed. Depending on where the water found its way to the radio, something could be shorted, as "shut down when you open the door". Try manually turning off the radio before leaving the vehicle.

How are you doing this?

Transmission in Limp mode - electrical issue?
dhh3 replied to patelajit's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
On the wheel that was worked on, make sure that the sensor is plugged in and not damaged. -
2014 journey speaker sizes?
dhh3 replied to xxkjb22xx's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
No speaker in back hatch. If you have the premium system, there is an amp under the passenger front seat, and a sub on the driver's side, by the third row. The "premium" speakers are still paper, and there is no Mopar/Kicker upgrade for the DJ. For some reason, Crutchfield keeps getting it wrong concerning the DJ. They have always been my "go to" guys. -
Transmission in Limp mode - electrical issue?
dhh3 replied to patelajit's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
How many miles? When was the transmission fluid changed? High pressure could indicate clogged filter. TCS light could indicate a wheel sensor as mentioned. -

Passenger overhead light
dhh3 replied to Medabum's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Since these cars do not tolerate low voltage, it may be the socket, since it only flickers when the engine is off the volts drop from 14+ down. Have you tried swapping the bulbs from side to side? -
With blood on the air bag, it may have been one of the recalled Takata bags where metal fragments are involved with the deployment of the air bag.

I asked about the tires, only concerning the tread. Some tires will be noisier than others. I swapped out the original Khumos for Bridgestone Duelers H/L Alenza Plus. There are a lot of negative posts concerning the Khumos. I had these Bridgestones on my Nitro, so I knew what to expect. Although the Bridgestones have a more aggressive tread design, they added no more noise. As far as the undercoating, I didn't notice it being any quieter. By the time I experienced my first winter, it was undercoated and the new tires were installed. I replaced all the components in my sound system, with the exception of the HU. So with my music blasting, I don't hear much of anything else. Even with the undercoating and new tires, the sound of snow/slush coming from the wheel wells was no noisier than any other vehicle that I have owned.
