I plan on keeping this one for a while. 11,000 miles in two years. I recall (ABS) and normal service. That's it. I bought it new in June, 2014, and replaced the tires in October before winter set in. No regrets. But, I do miss my 2006 Jeep Commander. If I could find a low mileage 2009 Overland (last year for the Overland), I'd snatch it up, and someone could be driving my fine DJ!.

I believe that both bumpers are entirely different; not just the addition of the platinum pieces. They should fit a 2009 because I do not believe that any of the sheet metal has been changed over the life of the DJ. According to Mopar, the trailer hitch will fit all models except the Crossroad. But, it does fit!

I had a sunroof deflector on my 1984 Buick Skylark T-Type. It was held on with two screws. A threaded lock nut had to be attached to the roof, and it was a bit tricky. It worked well. I added a sun roof to my Nitro and never needed one. It was made by Infala, same company the Factory uses. I'm thinking of adding one to my DJ. As far as bug deflectors go, my only experience caused a severe drop in mpg's. I have never bought another one. Very few bugs make it it to my windshield, so I think the slope of the leading edge of the hood is doing its job.

Playlists, or folders?
dhh3 replied to BrianS's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
OK. I have to admit it. WMP does a MUCH better job with Uconnect than iTunes. All CDs should have an Artwork Tag. That is why they all showed up on my RBZ MyGig. However, Uconnect today will NOT recognize any artwork tag made after 2011. This is what I did. My old PC finally gave up the ghost. My new PC has windows 10, and I purchased Windows 10 for Dummies. I did not copy iTunes from my back up. I reloaded all of my CDs back into the computer through WMP. By default, when loading a CD, WMP will go out on the net and search for any old, missing, out-dated artwork tag, and put it with the music. I copied WMP to my SD card, and I now have Cover Art for all my CDs, prior to 2011, which was a lot better than iTunes. I didn't have to search iTunes for missing art; WMP did it for me. Both Windows and iTunes want to know what we are listening to, so they can keep their Libraries up to date. WMP will NOT recognize any Apple product, so in order to change music on my iPod, I had to download my back-up of iTunes, so I can sync it with my iPod. When these new radios start to offer Apple Play and Google Play, I pray that they can be used with the 8.4. Maybe then this Artwork issue will finally be solved. All this is for WMP 10. The older versions may have been more user friendly. This new version will NOT play a DVD! -
Welcome aboard.

Backup camera not always working
dhh3 replied to Mark Reimer's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
The screen going black would indicate to me that the radio is functioning properly. It just is not receiving the image feed from the camera. I should have said this in my first post; so the problem exists somewhere between the camera and the radio, as bramfrank has alluded to. -
Welcome. There are members here who have done this.

My coverage for uninsured drivers is less than $5/6 month policy. Well worth it! -
Welcome. The DJ is now called a Fiat Freemont in the UK. I seldome see them on lots for sale, so people must be keeping them.

AWD kicks in when it senses front wheel spin. It also kicks in when going around corners, as the two front wheels are not rotating at the same speed.

Welcome to the forum. Once one of my bulbs burns out, I'm going to replace all 4 with Silverstars.

Maybe the back, but the Crossroad has unique parts around the front fog lights. If you look closely at the front, the fog light has a raised 1/2 circle on the top and bottom, and these raised edges extend beyond the fog light opening in both directions.

A once very proud and vocal owner, now wondering.

Plastic hatch (Magnets will not stick to it) and aluminum hood, as stated. Sounds like your Dealer does not want to sell you a 300. -

No yet. Fingers and toes crossed. Maybe a loose connection at either end? -
I guess that I have never noticed any throttle lag. When I nail it, the torque steer is enough to pull my arms out of their sockets. !/2 shafts should be the same length to prevent this.

Rear fog lights are not required in The States. There is just a red reflector in place of the lights. Thank you for the compliment. I actually bought the car for its color!!
-
Uh, OK?

I have the Mopar ones. Fit well. Do an adequate job of keeping the sides clean.

Welcome. I like the look of your headlights, but not the price from China. I did find a set of the rear fog lights and have them wired to come on with my lights. Too much trouble to run a wire all the way to the front fog light!

Mine was like that a few weeks back, but didn't think to take a picture.
