You don't need to replace the screen; just the radio. -
Passive Entry Issue
dhh3 replied to lytefall's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
By passive entry, do you mean touching the door handles? -
No rattles for me, up or down.

Why would anyone rebuild a transmission and not even check out the torque converter? Something is not quite right here.

2010 Journey AWD 3.5l SXT freeze plug issue now a catastrophe
dhh3 replied to kanerdanger's topic in Engine & Transmission
Once the engine is out, depending on the number of miles on the engine, I'd replace everything that can not be reached without removing the engine.- 6 replies

- freeze plugs
- expansion plugs

It replaces one of the freeze plugs, and then plug it in to an electrical outlet. The electricity keeps the engine oil warm.

Journey 15 rear speaker mounts
dhh3 replied to gizzmo13's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
The rear. He asked the same question in another thread. Speakers for the 3rd row. I think mounting an iPod back there would be much easier. There is even a power port to charge it! -
Did you load it with something that the TSA did not like?

The v6 Pentastar has a big chunk of plastic covering the entire engine, with a hole for adding oil. There is also a big screw off cap to get to the oil filter. It says "3.6 L vvt" in silver letters. I have no idea what my engine looks like because I have never seen it!

There may not be enough room on the right side for a speaker because the rear heater core is there. There is some room on the left side because that is where the factory sub would be located.

No clunks for me. The noise may be be the torque converter clutch not unlocking when it is supposed to.

Welcome back. Did you remember to pack my whale?

The V6 in the US is 283hp.

Welcome to the nut house.

Also, remember that there were 2 4.0s: one used in the Wrangler, and one based on the 3.5 with 24 valves.

dhh3 replied to dhh3's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
No go! The non-nav radio must be different. I tried it both on ACC and with engine running. -

Windows 10/Uconnect Updates
dhh3 replied to dhh3's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Update installed. Does anyone know how to display the software version on the screen? The tech told me that there might be several ways to do this, as each installation is different: such as pushing both manual Heat Up Hard Keys and Rear Def Hard Key at the same time. He tried a few combinations, but nothing worked. I looked for a menu last night, but was unable to find it, as was He today. -
You can add the external module, but forgo the "Factory Look": built in microphone in the rearview mirror and steering wheel controls. You will get a stick on microphone and a little panel with the 2 buttons, which you can mount anywhere. At least this is the way it was with the last generation of radios.
