  1. If you go to your Dealer, they may tell you to use their blade, and the the arm is bent. More than likely the wiper got caught going through a car wash. The local car wash here used to put a plastic bag over the rear wiper blade to protect it from getting caught in the cleaning strips. They have changed something because they no longer put a bag on the blade.
  2. Yes. Not hearsay on the internet; threads here on this forum. Remember my concern of driving in the winter? This is the first non-4wd vehicle that I have had in over 20 years, and was concerned about winter driving performance. The Khumos had absolutely no wet traction at all, in the rain. I had to feather the throttle to keep the tires from spinning, and the car not wanting to go straight ahead. (Dreaded torque steer) So, I went with Bridgestone Duelers, the same tires I had on my Nitro and their winter performance was awesome. In retrospect, when I saw this Copperhead Pearl beauty, I should have asked my Dealer to locate me one in AWD. But, I had no issues at all last winter, and the same performance, so far, this winter. I think that AWD would have given me a false sense of security, but then, again, I'm not hauling the extra weight!
  3. Anthony may answer for me. But it happened recently. I believe they were able to repair some of them. There are caves all up and down the East Coast of the US; mainly west of the Appalachians. Mammoth cave is awesome. If you have the time, do the whole trek. There is even a break room to get something to eat.
  4. I replaced my factory Khumos about 3 months after I purchased my DJ; mainly because of the negative reputation when I first joined the forum.
  5. Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green are not that far South of the Parkway.
  6. The article I read made no mention of the Grand Caravan. The original Pacifica was based on the minivan platform, and it was basically a crossover (I guess) so I suppose they could make a big crossover out of this. No mention of an AWD version either. When I'm ready to trade my DJ, I will again look at Jeep first. Curious to see what becomes of the DJ. I like my DJ a lot, just the way it is so I may keep it longer than 3 years.
  7. I never even noticed the two black center lines! But, I did hit a red Ford pickup that was not fully into his space. It is a narrow parking lot, and I was so concerned about the Caliber in my Driver's mirror, I never saw the Truck, because it was not in the view of the camera. I felt a slight bump, and bashed in the passenger edged of my rear bumper. Not a mark on the truck. Why don't the steel inner bumpers go all the way across, from end to end? I was lucky; no metal damage, and my Dealer matched my Copperhead Pearl exactly.
  8. Just read a long article on this on Autoweek's daily email that I get. FCA is still mum on the Grand Caravan. They could use the rear 1/4 panels from the VW version of the van and then could add Racetrack LEDs on the rear. All Dodge would have to do is change the plastic liftgate on the DJ, and Racetrack LEDs could be added to it as well.
  9. I do not like the touch controls on the bottom of the screen. Too distracting. I set the heat before I set off on a drive, then use the manual controls to increase or decrease the temperature. The "A" does an amazing job keeping all the windows clear, when there are 4 or more riding in close to 0 degrees. I do have to use the rear defroster; it is the only window that will fog up.
  10. May be a bearing on yours, since it only does it when it is super cold. Grease gets thicker as the temp drops, and it might be a lack of grease. Once it warms up, the grease thins out and the whine goes away.
  11. From the factory, the Sirius antenna is the base of the AM/FM antenna. Unless you want to rip the whole inside of you car apart doing this, you can purchase any hockey puck magnetized antenna and stick it to your roof. Just remember to remove it before going through a car wash!
  12. OMG. I should have known. An IT Twiget! You actually post a resume on a Dodge Journey Forum? Out of all the resumes that I have read in my life, they all had one thing in common: they were all "enhanced" to make the prospective client look better than he or she actually was. Interviewing, hiring/firing almost became a game to me, when it came to actual performance when compared to the written word (resume). I stand by everything that I have posted on this Forum. To the OP: I apologize for hyjacking your thread. Apologies are in order.
  13. Mopar used to offer Kicker replacement speakers for most of their cars/trucks. I used them in 2 of my vehicles, and the sound improvement was 100%, keeping the MyGig HU. They just plugged into the factory harnesses. I have no idea when Mopar stopped this, but there are no Kicker upgrade speakers in the DJ Accessory Catalog. As soon as I purchase a vehicle, the first thing that I do is remove the crap factory paper speakers! To each his own.
  14. You are OCD or on Crack. I believe that I have seen your mug on "Drugs, Inc". Get your head out of your a** and see the world how it really is. You too f'n stupid to even know how to take a compliment. Sit at home and play with yourself and pretend you are driving your DJ. That will keep you occupied for a little while. What an a**.
  15. Process of elimination: it is not the clock spring. Try presetting all of your stations again and see what you get.
  16. Factory. I like my music too much to have the sound of the exhaust interrupt what I am hearing. In fact, I installed my own custom Alpine System! http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6561-kicker-hs-hideaway-150w-8-powered-sub-model-11hs8/ http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6776-alpine-sps-110tw-component-tweeters/ http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6870-alpine-ktp-445u-brick-amp/
  17. Well then, all of the instruction sheets of Mopar Accessories which I have purchased over that past 20 odd years must have been printed wrong.
  18. I did just remove my resonator, and do have a slightly better sound, but no where near what you have.
  19. Can one of your friends at Mike Anderson's look it up, to see if it can be overidden? When I told you to try Glenbrook, I had no idea that the codes could not be overidden, based upon my previous attempts at it. Sorry that you made the trip for nothing. It just seems to me that it still can be done. I'll ask next time I'm there.
  20. Both my 2006 Jeep Commander and my 2011 Dodge Nitro locked up prematurely, and I had them bump up the lock-up speed. Maybe they did this for me because I have been a customer for so many years. The DJ seems to be OK, so I haven't asked them to do it.
  21. The extended warranty which I purchased gives me free oil changes for life and tire rotations/balancing every other oil change. No word has ever been mentioned when I had my tired rotated by my Dealer.
