Had my new brakes installed today
dhh3 replied to redtomatoman's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
Well, at the rate I'm going, I won't need brakes for 8 years. LOL I'll probably be back in a Jeep by then! -
DJ Newbie, couple of questions.

Boy, I long for the good old days with my RBZ MyGig. -

How many miles do you have on your DJ? I would like to install something like this when it is time, but so far I only have 8,500 miles on it! -
Did you ever determine where the leaking coolant was coming from? This would give you a strong indication as to what actually happened.

I have done this with all of my vehicles since I was a kid and I have never experienced any issues doing this. But lately, the pumps themselves will not let me do this because there is no way to control the flow of the gas.

Search the forum. There are numerous threads on tire sizes.

Drivers and passenger doors so heavy they won't stay open
dhh3 replied to journeygal's topic in Exterior & Body
Maybe it is possible to adjust the plate that has the dentents which hold the door open. No problems with mine. -
When I need to use my third row, I pull my 2 trash containers slightly away from the garage wall and slide the mat down into this space. It will develop a "curve" if you try and stand it up by itself. I thought of rolling it in 1/2 and placing it behind the third row, but have not tried that yet. Any curve it develops will eventually flatten out again.

I very rarely let it drop below 1/2 unless I'm on a trip. Never noticed the gauge acting any differently from the point where it is at to Full. When I get gas, I always fill it up to the top of the filler neck, if the pump will let me.

My Dealer installed my camera as part of the sale. The Tech removed the entire 3rd row left seat! Maybe you will have to go to the dealer and add the 8.4 to the build sheet. Then, maybe all of the functions will work.

Does my journey have an alarm?
dhh3 replied to xcaliber81's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
Does the light flash when you lock the doors with the button in the door handle? That light comes on when I initially start the car, but it does not blink when the engine is off and the doors are locked. No alarm for me, as per window sticker. -
OK, I give! You win!

My window sticker doesn't mention alarm, and I do not have any blinking light. The blinking red light should indicate an alarm. Possibly the alarm doesn't set when you leave the window open. BTW, where is the light? -
I very rarely even feel mine shift. Welcome to the forum.

Trailer wiring harness with parkassist disable?
dhh3 replied to Jessica Hicks's topic in Hauling & Towing
My 2006 Commander had a switch that was used to turn off the rear sensors. I am thinking about installing the Mopar Accessory sensor kit. The camera misses a lot. -
I don't think that the DJ has power doors either!

Sorry. Too loud for me. Spent too much money on my audio!

I removed my resonator - it did nothing to improve MPGs.

The Lockpick that I had on my Nitro had 4 camera inputs, and the back up image showed on the Mygig screen. There is a harness with the Lockpick that plugs into the back of the radio where the gray harness plugs in; then you plug the gray harness into the the Lockpick's harness. The cost of the OEM camera is probably equal to the Lockpick; but, you still need a camera. Coastal used to make their own cameras, but the quit making them.
