Streak down the rear window
dhh3 replied to journeygal's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Ask them to walk outside and then show them. It may not be visible inside. -
There should be a set of rain drains that run down the C pillars, also. Do not use anything high pressure to clear the tubes: you run the risk of blowing the tubes off of the sun roof channel.

Bought my extended warranty when I bought my DJ last summer. I only use Rain-X fluids, and no issues yet. Glad I do not have the Nav radio. I, too, use my phone.

You need to have an excellent Dealer who will back up the sale. I am lucky to have such a Dealer. My last Explorer was a 1996, when I switched to Jeep and never looked back. I actually went in to get a Cherokee Trailhawk, but it was priced $5,000 over my well equipped Crossroad. Too bad that Jeep has begun to charge for the name! Enjoy your Outback. My daughter wants one so bad that she can taste it!

The 4.3s has the Sirius receiver built into it. If you have 2 antenna wires behind your present radio, and one isn't being used, it would be the one for Sirius. Otherwise, you would need an external antenna.

I had the the same problem back in 2006 with my Jeep Commander. Any parts for the International Vehicles are not available in the US. I even tried ordering from a Canadian Dealer. No dice. It was for the 4.7 emblem. US didn't have it, Internationals did. The way I ended up getting one: a member in Maryland took orders and $ and sent the order to a member in Saudi Arabia. He ordered around 20, and shipped them to the guy in Maryland, who mailed them out to us! The part had a normal PN and was made in the USA. Go figure.

It is my understanding that AWD only kicks in when the front wheels slip; to send some torque to the rear wheels.

I never hear my engine, even with the removal of the resonator. Maybe my music is too loud!

I agree with the O2 sensor -
I always keep the center cluster on MPG and drive like I have an uncooked egg between my shoe and the pedal! I like to see 30+. But, I have "burned rubber on a couple of occasions! I wonder if the rim on the RAV4 has "Bent" written on it!

It could have happened at the factory, and they were never intended to be used.

latch/lock problem

Does the door look straight when it is closed? Has the locking plate moved? Are the hinges loose and/out of position? -
There is an insulated cup holder on the bucket and cup holders on the mower!

Finally, My Crossroad Looks Like The Chicago Show Crossroad!

I did see a picture of the new Jaguar X-over. From the belt line up it looks like a DJ. I'll debadge mine and put some Jaguar emblems on it! -
I have 255/50s on my 19" wheels, and I can not get my index fingernail between the bottom front strut mounts and the tires

If there is a Dealer in your area, go check one out. I would imagine that the mounting tracks are the same, so the mounting bolts would be in the same place.

Lake St. Claire, on the Canadian side. I think this was the third largest caught that day! It's just me now, as many of you know by now. Dave

I second the bugs. Also, salt in winter, but I only do it if it is above freezing!

Go to oemautopartsco.com. Call them. They specialize in Mopar replacement radios. Most of what they sell are Dealer take-outs. If there are scratches in the screen, they replace the screen. All radios are bench tested. I have purchased 3 radios from them. Great people to do business.

As far as I know, there have never been any major structural changes to the DJ since it was introduced. I have only had mine for a year, but I do not see any reason why it would not fit. The holes for the hitch are already in the rear frame rails.

It may have to do with the antenna, and cable. The antenna in back is a combination AM/FM and Sirius. You could get the 4.3S and use a magnetic hockey puck antenna.
