2009 SE reverse lights not working
dhh3 replied to GLENN37216's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
If any mechanic at my Dealer told me that DJs were a POS, I'd report him and have is ass fired. The Service Area can do without bad attitudes like his! Every car line has its lemons. I have only purchased one lemon and my Dealer took care of me right away. -
Uconnect works

For at least 30 minutes for radio (Uconnect?) issues. -
2015 Journey 2000 mile trip report- Now at 5100 miles

Nice write up. I have the V6 and was on the loop around Columbus, Ohio. Cruise set to 72, and it was reading either 36.5, or 35.6. Awesome with two adults in the car. I have 7,800 miles, so it is still breaking in. My DJ is getting 2x the mileage of my Nitro! -
For radio issues, you need to wait at least 30 minutes for the radio to reset. You will not lose any of your presets. If resetting the radio does not work, call Sirius. You will need the S/N of your radio. If you are lucky enough to get someone who speaks clearly, park the car in a clear area: nothing overhead (trees, etc, or in your garage). You will have to have the car running and the radio set to Sirius. They can send a signal to reboot your radio. If this doesn't work, check the antenna. Does the radio still work in AM/FM? It is possible that the antenna lead came loose from either the radio or the antenna. There are two leads going to the antenna: one for AM/FM and one for Sirius. You will have to pull the headliner down slightly to check the connections at the antenna. Also, is the antenna intact? Did you hit anything?

Yeah, I saw that it was from 2011. I wanted to know how he did his garage door opener. If the DJ comes with the back up sensors, where is the small monitor located? My 2006 Jeep Commander had this. The monitor was a little housing mounted above the rear window; I could see it in the rear view mirror. There were green lights on the outside edges, orange towards the middle and red in the middle, along with a beeper. It was supposed to beep faster the closer I got to something. They would light up green, orange and then red the closer I got to something. I experimented with it to see how close I could get to something. I have a huge oak tree in my front yard and the lights never lit up! Nor no beeping! I did end up backing into a metal pole at the gas station and put a dent in the outside edge of the bumper. Again, no lights and no sound. I tried to get it fixed under warranty, but no dice. I don't think that it ever worked right.

The guys on the Nitro forum swore by this type of rotor; drilled for lightness and slotted for heat release. They swore by them. Huge improvement In the past 20 years, I have not driven a car long enough to require brakes! I really like my DJ (finally getting used to the radio, LOL) and may keep it a while. This is the route that I would take. How many mies are on your DJ? Do you have the bigger front calipers?

Is there a switch or position sensor on the gear shift lever that could have gone bad? -
Why do they get to have all the fun?

Question about rear turn signal tailights
dhh3 replied to DJfan's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
How hard is it to run wires through the hatch? Since the outside light has 3 wires (12v), I could buy 3 wire plugs for the inside lights and just tap into the outside wires. Since all the stuff to make the LEDs work are inside the housings, I could have 4 brake lights. Hmm.......something to think about. -
High Power Fog Lights available

I put yellow bulbs in mine for a lot less money. I wish Oracle would make a headlight replacement for the DJ. -

Are you sure? I have auto HVAC and my Dealer told me that they would have to remove most of the dash. There is another thread on here concerning auto headlights. You have to have the correct sensor: the little bubble in the center of the dash at the base of the windshield. Mine does have a wire hanging down behind the radio, that the Dealer found while installing my rear camera. It could be the wire that runs from the sensor to the auto headlight switch, but no one seems to know what it is for! -
Do I come to you, or do you come to me? I like Reynolds Wrap because it's quilted.

That's a HUGE jump!

I removed my resonator. That is as far as I am going concerning the exhaust. No cheap mods on mine: just some Mopar accessories.

The Dealer can turn on the DRLs for you, or they may just be turned off on the Settings on the screen. I do not believe that you can change anything related to how the lights work because they are all controlled by the computer (TIPM). My DRLs are the high beams at 80%. I have seen some Djs with the turn signals as DRLs. Auto headlights can be added but is is quite expensive! -

Well, I vote for Copperhead Pearl! -
PM answered and Bereavement Sheets sent. It seems like you are doing much better than I did, and that is good. I do not like going out alone. Still go to church, but I'm still uncomfortable sitting by myself. Friends sit with me.
