  1. I am not comfortable with buying anything from China. Try your local Farm Store or Lowes. They sell sprayers like this to spay weeds in your lawn.
  2. The TIPM controls all of the electronic functions of the DJ.
  3. You may have a bad cell in your battery. Sometimes the battery will read correctly when tested even though there is a bad cell. The volts should not be jumping all over the place like that; may harm the alternator. Your DJ is 4 years old. Start with a new battery. If the lights on the dash keep flashing, then it is time to consider that the TIPM is failing, or does not have proper grounding.
  4. Do you have the 8.4 screen? If so, you can add the back up camera to it.

    pedal position

My foot occasionally slips off the brake pedal, but I was blown away when I saw that this car had a dead pedal. First car that I have ever owned with a dead pedal.
  6. Welcome to the forum. That seems to be an odd duck, because I've only seen the amber turn signals.
  7. Your chrome rims are actually an aluminum wheel with plastic chrome cladding glued on, so you have to be careful to get a product that is specifically made for plastic chrome. If the chrome itself has started to discolor, you may not be able to fix it, without replacing the wheel. When I was on the Nitro forum, a lot of the members were getting their wheels replaced by Chrysler because of the lousy chomeing process.
  8. In one year, I have only been to my Dealer for oil changes, tire rotation and updates. I have always bought Mopar, and only had an issue with one: a 2006 Jeep Commander with Quadra Drive II. The casting for the Front Differential was bad, but they didn't realize that until after they rebuilt the Front Differential, put in a new Transfer Case, removed the Rear Differential for inspection, removed the Transmission, completely tore it apart and rebuilt the Transmission. After two weeks of driving, a day or two at each interval, the new gears in the Front Differential were all chewed up. They finally saw the bad casting and replaced the Front Differential. All for $100.00 on my extended warranty. After each "fix", I'd get it back for a day or two, and bring it back because it was still making "The Noise"! For two months, they had more than I did. I'd get a free rental each time I dropped it off, because they had no idea how long they would need to fix it. The Second Shift Service Manager lost his job over this.
  9. When I bought my 2011 Nitro, it had 20" wheels, and a very stiff ride. I don't remember the size of the factory tires, but I was actually able to go 2 sizes bigger to give a higher sidewall, and thus a "softer" ride. I like your look of black and chrome, but the black wheels actually look a lot better. Good choice. Have you noticed any difference in your ride? There is a Jeep Grand Cherokee that I see around town that must have a package similar to the Blacktop. It may be the color of the Jeep, but the Black wheels look horrible, IMHO. They are flat black; that may be the reason that I don't like it. My Crossroad came with 19" Hyper Black Wheels, and I really like the look of them. One Sunday, I took my Crossroad over to my Dealer to compare the wheels on all of the DJs in stock. At least to me, the Crossroad wheels seem to have a slightly different offset than all the other DJ wheels; it looks like a deeper dish, so that the tires sit slightly farther out than the rest of the DJs. I did buy tires in the size of the Red Crossroad Dodge was showing around the country last year when the Crossroad was initially introduced: P255/50R19. They are .15" higher than the factory tires, so they give me a slightly better ride. They are 1.18" wider than stock, so the car handles a lot better. They performed excellent in the snow, even though the "experts" say you need a skinny tire for snow. They are Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus with a 70,000 tread warranty. These will probably be the last tires I'll have to purchase for my DJ. I bought a set of Caliper Covers off of ebay, and the Crossroad was listed.. The mechanics worked on them for about two hours, and they did not fit: not enough clearance. They did not charge me! The ebay seller said they would work if I used 3mm spacers. No thank you!
  10. This makes sense, as a humidity sensor. It has to be part of the Automatic HVAC system. I just went out and looked at mine. I have the box, and since it is on the passenger side, I never noticed it before. When the system is in "A", it has to know the humidity reading inside the car to know if to turn on the AC, independent of the temp settings. I always keep mine on "A" and rarely open the windows! On the old MyGigs, the GPS antenna was on top of the radio, in some applications. Another thing to know, a good AM/FM antenna has to be around 31" tall, in order to get good reception. The stub antenna is powered and comes on when the radio is turned on.
  11. 1. I thought that the Blacktop was an Option Package, and not a specific model. 2. Where would the 115vac outlet be located?
  12. I believe that ABS and Traction Control are standard on all models.
  13. Another one gone, another gone. Another one bites the dust.
  14. To make it really stand out, paint it Copperhead Pearl.
  15. I may try and search out a platinum 2-stripe pinstripe. The contour line actually goes all around the car. Might look good, but I'm still not sure how much bending I can do until I see my surgeon again.
  16. I tried to update my RBZ MyGig in my Nitro from a CD. It just stopped in the middle. The radio no longer worked. I finally got it to take the disc again, and the same thing happened. When there is an update available, I just take it to my Dealer. So far, 2 updates in one year and I do not notice anything different so I have no idea what they were for.
  17. Greektown in Detroit is awesome, also.
  18. I don't know. I'm too new to the DJ to know much about it. But, it would be located behind the hub, where it can read the rotational speed of the wheel. With these lights on, your Cruise Control will not work either.
  19. The "chrome" pieces on the Crossroad are actually Platinum.
  20. Air Force Museum, near Dayton, Ohio. Small Space Museum near Wapakoneta, Ohio. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.
