Awesome. I can't get anyone to install some for me. Against the law here in Indiana. It would look perfect with my Copperhead Pearl.

Welcome to the forum. I also have the V6 and was on the loop around Columbus, cruise set at 72 and the reading was either 35.6 or 36.5. Can't remember. Took a trip Sunday that would have cost me between $35 and $40 in my Nitro; was $19.60 in my DJ

touch screen not working

These days, I'm only irritated when I run low on Angry Orchard Red Apple Ale. Tramadol has changed my taste buds to the point that I don't like beer anymore! Very sad. -
Freemont 2014 dead battery two times now.
dhh3 replied to Håkan Franzén's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Just as an FYI, if the Freemont is like the DJ, you have three power ports. The one in the dash is on only when the key is on. The ones in the console and the cargo area are hot all the time. It is possible that one of these has developed a short, and it only happens after you use it. Just a thought. -
I bought the rear mat from Mopar, mainly because I don't like rubber mats in my car. I'll spring for a new set of DJ mats if and when I wear them out. They are all over the place on ebay!

You may speak for me, O Great One! Ha -
Rethinking your post, I think I may have lasted a week! I ordered the Mopar black cross bars and rubber mat that covers the third row, so junk doesn't fall down in the cracks when the seats are down!

Yesterday, I read that the Durango is dead after 2015, to make way for the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. They want the Grand Wagoneer to compete with BMW, Mercedes and Land Rover, so I see no need to dump the Durango which competes with Ford and Chevy 3 row crossovers.

I put in yellow bulbs in my foglamps, but when I take a picture, they look like yours!

Metallic Rattle @ Rear Passenger Tire Area?
dhh3 replied to aysia's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
Those things are called sway bar links. One of the rubber bushings could be worn, so the noise would change as the busing rotates around the bolt. -
P255/50R19, the same size that was on the Red Show Crossroad last summer. Mine are Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus. It is hard to get a good close up picture: either too dark, or too light. On these you can see how they go past the edge of the rim on Crossroad wheels, which I believe have a slightly deeper dish than the rest of the 19" DJ wheels, and line up with the fender arches. When looking from the front, they actually go past the front fender arches. These tires dimensions: Height: 5.02", .15" taller. Width: 10.04", 1.18" wider. Diameter: 29.04, .3" larger. All figures based on the Factory Khumos. I can not get my index fingernail between the front tire and the lower spring mount on the front strut, so I'm guessing that this might be the widest we can go on our DJ.

The MGP covers are Powder Coated. They have "MGP" and fake allen head screws engraved on them. Here is a picture of my Nitro:

Make sure that the billit ones are the same diameter as the Factory Ones. I bought some for my Nitro, and the billet ones were loose in the holes. Everytime the doors would automatically lock, it sounded like a shot gun going off in the Truck! Scared the crap out of me everytime that "gun" went off! I took them off and gave them to a member on the Nitro Forum. Unless they are specifically made for the DJ, I would not consider them. I think that the ones I got were "universal", but I'm not sure. Just an FYI. It is possible that the DJ has more sound deadener in the doors than the Nitro did. Just a thought.

What happens when they have the Red Bull Races?
-
Thank you. I am enlightened, O Great One.

The guy who ripped me off pulling my resonator said the VX Series would sound good on my DJ; that they are not loud like a pick up truck. Having anything to do with Flowmaster, no deal for me. Removing the resonator was enough for me. And the looks keep coming!
-
I just bit the bullet and ordered a set of MGP red caliper covers. I know that they will look awesome with the Crossroad wheels, but the jury will be out concerning the Copperhead Pearl until I get them installed.

If the surface of the puck is slick, you may want to roughen it up slightly, to avoid any slipping. Just a thought. I do like the idea, but sadly, I can no longer work on my car!

Paint one red and post a picture. Do you have any Farm Stores where you live like Tractor Supply? They may carry heat protection paint in colors. I'll look next time I go in.

I doubt it the Vue had multiple OD gears. Try the hill in 5 and see what you get.
-
My Nitro had a tow/haul switch. What it did, was not allow it to shift into OD, and changed the shift points. I believe that the top three gears (maybe 2) are OD in our DJs. So, when towing, try putting it in 5, and see if the temps do not rise. Then try 4, and see what you get. Of course, you mpgs are going to drop, but it may keep the temps where they are supposed to be.

Here is where my ignorance shows - what are hockey puck made of? Are you going to attack the pucks, or think that friction will hold them in place? I do like the idea of not damaging the paint.
-
Anyone know what "VX Series Mufflers" are? Anyhow, I am constantly getting stares to my DJ - maybe the combination of the color, Hyper Black Wheels and the fatter tires. Now, since removing the resonator, I'm getting a lot more stares, especially from people in other cross-overs! Every one I know that sees it, loves it. One of my wife's friends showed it to her parents, and the went out and bought a black one. I haven't seen it, but she did say the the interior looked like mine. Maybe a LTD, or R/T?

The ones on my Nitro were horrendous. I sold them and bought a set of 20" Mopar 5 spoke wheels. Changed the whole look of the truck.
