  1. I would say that it shorted out. It runs from the console to the radio. I do not know if it has its own fuse. It may be easy to replace. One thing you could try: do a system reset. Disconnect the positive terminal on your battery. For radio issues, you have to wait at least 30 minutes. No presets will be lost.
  2. If you have an iPhone, you can use it for Nav. I have an iPhone 6 and a vent mount made by Insignia. With 8.3, we now get hotels, gas stations, food, etc. I pair mine via bluetooth, and plug in the USB. The phone stays on until I reach my destination; USB also charges the battery. Siri will call out directions; the volume of the radio goes down while Siri speaks. Why buy another device? The screen is big enough for me. I do not know if this works with Android. During my route, I can ask Siri for gas and food, etc, based upon my location. Location has to be ON.
  3. You may have shorted it out. Look at the end of whatever you were trying to insert and make sure it is OK. Try it on another USB port.
  4. Transmission cooler is part of the radiator.
  5. Congratulations to both of you.
  6. I suppose that I would have to get a silver one to try and match the platinum trim on my DJ.
  7. Uconnect only supports iOS 7.1. Some have been lucky enough to get 8._ to work. I just upgraded to 8.3 and it still works. You may have to wait for Uconnect to get off their lazy butts and move into the 21st Century.

    Cracking leather

I use the Armour All wipes. But I first spray on McGuiers and wipe it off with the wipes. Then, I don't use the car for 24 hours.

    DJ in car show?

If there is going to be a show in your area, call and see if there will be a Mopar Section. Otherwise, just enter it in the General Section.
  10. I have a thread on all the Alpine and Kicker equipment items I installed. I like my music clear and loud!
  11. Anyone just remove the resonator, and keep the factory mufflers? I had to do this on my Nitro (muffler was in front, resonator in back at the end of the exhaust pipe). I had to do this to install a Borla exhaust tip that was 14" long. The normal sound of the 3.7 is entirely different than the 3.6, so it would be like comparing apples to oranges.
  12. Welcome to the forum. I have yet to see the need to replace my headlights, but if I do, I'll let someone else install them for me!
  13. I am running P255/50R19s. I can barely get my index finger nail between the front strut lower mount and the tire. I believe this tire is the widest 50 series tire that can be mounted. The Ultra Black Crossroad wheels do seem to have a deeper dish than the rest of the wheels available to the DJ; so this may be my saving grace.
  14. Welcome to the forum. I traded a Nitro for my DJ, keeping it in the Dodge family. Eventually, I will probably return to Jeep.
  15. Obviously, your exhaust shop did not look very closely because there already is a resonator before the split. I like my music too much to even consider touching my exhaust.
  16. She wasn't distracted. She knew exactly what she was doing.
  17. On Sunday's, I haul a bunch of kids to Church and back. Otherwise, it is just me.
  18. It is that black thing that blocks the glove box light.
  19. Welcome to the forum, The V6 cost me 1,700 USD.
  20. I had to take a short trip to New Jersey last week. A friend of mine went with me. I turned on my left signal light for passing a car, and then the right one for going back in my lane. For some reason, the signal light did not self cancel. All of a sudden my friend noticed a picture of the front of the car on the small center screen. I saw the image of the car with the right front signal light blinking and a warning to turn it off. First time in a year of ownership that I ever saw this. Anyone else seen this?
  21. Link works for me. Excellent job. I remember the days when I could do things like this.
  22. Does anyone know if the 14s got different pads? I just went over 7,000 miles and have never had any brake dust issues on my wheels.
