If you can get to your battery, see if there is any debris on the the mounting bracket/shelf that could eventually wear a hole in the bottom of the battery.

Light under driver door question?
dhh3 replied to mjnb's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
According to my manual, the little map lights that swivel are already LEDs and can only be serviced by the Dealer. My window sticker says: front and rear LED lights. This is in reference to the interior map lights! I do have LED tail lights, but no LEDs in the front of the car. -
USB issues with mp3 devices

I never put any music on my Android phones. I didn't have to. I just loaded all of my CDs onto the MyGig HD. I had no issues, none whatsoever, doing this way. I am 98% with the flash card. -
Magnaflow exhaust install - before and after sounds
dhh3 replied to kuhnhunter's topic in Accessories, Modifications
Got it. I had to download Windows Media Player. I does sound good. I think that I clicked on the arrow which brought me to you tube. I would love to find the exhaust system for a Pontiac 6000 STE. That was the best sounding V6 ever. Yours comes very close to it. What are the magnaflow P/Ns? -

A replacement TIPM also has to match the original, as far as options go. -
I bought the platinum lifetime warranty. Free towing, free oil changes every 3,750 miles, free tire rotation every other oil change; after the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty runs out, I am 100% covered for the life of the vehicle, with $100 deductible. So, I would say, yes it is worth it. It is an insurance policy. Look at all the problems that keep popping up on the forum. I will never have to post a problem, because my Dealer gets it if anything should go wrong. I bought mine last June, and have a little over 5,000 miles on it. I will run out of time before I run out of mileage on my Factory Warranty. But, I have never had to go back to the Dealer for any problems. Just one update for the Radio, and to turn on the DRLs. Soon, to have the hitch installed and the yellow fog light bulbs. This fusion in my back is taking its time to heal!

USB issues with mp3 devices
dhh3 replied to allindsey1978's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
When I first bought my DJ last summer, I traded in my iPhone 5s 32 for an iPhone 5s 64, and loaded most of my music on it. Thats when my troubles began. What a waste of money! I now have a iPhone 6 32; NO MUSIC! Not using Android anymore, I can't comment on it. My Dealer could not help me at all, either. People here on the forum have given me grief over the art. But, my thinking is, if the radio is supposed to display art, well it better damn well do it. I traded a 2011 Nitro in on my DJ. It had a MyGig RBZ with a 30 gig hard drive. Just load the music and go. What the hell was Chrysler thinking when they came out with this crap? They could have used the MyGig base with the 8.4 screen. I'd love to meet the idiot that came up with this brilliant idea. -
USB issues with mp3 devices

Uconnect only supports Apple up to iOS 7.1. Ask the tech what version he has on his iPod. I searched ebay until I finally found an iPod touch with iOS 7. Downloaded my iTunes Library from my HP PC, and the iPod only gives me a list of songs with no art and no control function by the radio. WTF! After many hours spent on the phone with both Uconnect and Apple, I got no where. I gave up on all of their BS. BTW, Uconnect no longer works with Gracenote. If you have a PC, and use iTunes, this is what you need to do to be able to play your music and use the radio control functions. Buy a SanDisc flash card the size of your iTunes library. Then you will need to copy your iTunes library to your music folder on your PC. There are specific steps to do this. I found them using Google. Once your iTunes library is in your Music Folder, copy this folder onto to your flash card. Open up the iTunes folder on your flash card. There will be a list of folders. Open each one. One of the folders will just be code. Delete it from the disc. You can now use your flash card to play all of your music. Any song purchased from iTunes, the art will not display. I copied all of my CDs to my iTunes library on my PC. If no art displayed, I found art that would work for the album on iTunes. These arts will not display either. Any art downloaded from Apple, including purchased albums, will not display because the art is proprietary and belongs to Apple. All of my iTunes art shows up on my iPod but not my flash card. All of the art from my CDs display, except the ones I had to get from iTunes, on the flash card. Insert the flash card into the slot and you will have complete control of your music through the radio. As I mentioned, Uconnect no longer works with Gracenote; so, turning Gracenote on or off via the Radio will have no effect. I would say that this probably took me three or four months to try and figure out. When Uconnect finally supports iOS 8, I'll try my iPod again. Meanwhile, I bought a waterproof speaker that hooks to my iPod via Bluetooth and use it in the hot tub! MP3 discs do play in my CD drive, but the idea here is not to have to bring all of your CDs with you, only to be played one at a time. Chrysler, IMHO, made a HUGE mistake when they removed the 30 gig hard drives from these radios. -

Does the Pentastar have a plastic intake manifold? If so, like the 3.7, you have to use the recommended plugs or carbon deposits will begin to build up and make havoc for a smooth running engine. -
Magnaflow exhaust install - before and after sounds
dhh3 replied to kuhnhunter's topic in Accessories, Modifications
When I joined this Forum last June when I purchased my DJ, it was stated on the Forum that the rears were the resonators, and the front was the muffler. The exhaust system, at least on the V6, is a 2 into 1 into 2. It would make sense that the muffler would be up front, as close to the engine as possible. In all my years of learning all that I could about cars, I have never seen or heard of an exhaust system where the resonator is in front of the muffler(s). -

Reset the system by disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery for 15 minutes or so. And, make sure that the plugs that you used are the ones recommended by Mopar. -
I agree ^^ since I cant see what fell off.

UConnect Bluetooth talk 2 text
dhh3 replied to Timbrook's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
You need to plug it into the USB port also, even though you are paired via Bluetooth. I found the cool looking USB cables for the iPhone, at Best Buy, that are white with a blue stripe down the middle. The blue stripe is actually a string of LED lights that move in the direction of the power; to or from the phone! -
All I get is a blue box off center, with the same sized piece; so I can not see it when I click on your picture.

What "Plug in" do I need to listen? I looked at all your pictures along the top of the Forum Home Page. What you actually did was to replace the resonators with mufflers. The muffler is up front somewhere. I'm still curious as to how it sounds. -
Speaker Balance
dhh3 replied to journeygal's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Thank you! With your help (bramfrank and bfurth) I found the controls for the speakers! Now I just need to figure out how to set my favorite Sirius channels! The salesman showed me, but I don't remember. I'll figure it out. Everyone have a good evening! Sounds to me that she got what you told her about balancing. Her quote: "Now I just need to figure out how to set my favorite Sirius Channels! The salesman showed me, but I don't remember. I'll figure it out. I was just helping her to set her channels. -
