  1. Am I crazy, or are some DJs just the opposite: with the Signals on the bottom and the Hi Beams on the top? Also, I have seen some DJs with the Signals used as the DRLs, instead of the Hi Beams. Weird.
  2. V8 or 4 cyl? Front and rear heat/AC, or just front?
  3. If removing the negative cable on your battery does not work, check the connections to your TIPM. If you see corrosion, clean it. If these steps do not work, it may be that your TIPM is dieing.
  4. I am not sure what you mean by tweeters on the pillars? There is a set of crap paper speakers at each end of the dash defroster panel. These factory speakers are wired to the front door speakers, without any crossover. I did buy a set of Alpine tweeters with a built in crossovers. I actually wanted them installed on top of the speaker grate, but the Best Buy tech was afraid that the panel would shatter if he tried to drill a hole in grate. So, he installed them under the grill, but facing towards the interior of the car. It is amazing the difference that these make. I have the highs on the EQ all the way up. I was hearing sounds that I never knew existed. When I added the Alpine brick amp (Head Unit Power Pack), OMG. All of the sounds are so much cleaner and crisper. Once I got going (driving), before I added anything, I would run the volume around 20. Now, I get the same sound output at 12 - 14. Overall, I am satisfied 100% The difference in the sound, when compared to stock; actually, there is no comparison as it sounds so good. The tech never removed the radio for any of these components. When he added the amp, he had to use a speaker wire set to lengthen the distance from the radio to the amp, because the Kicker is wired in between the radio and the amp. The Kicker has its own built in crossover, as do the Alpine tweeters. I run the Bass at 7 because the 6x9's compliment the Kicker. I run the mids at 5, to eliminate the hollows sounds of the voices, and I run the highs at 9, to let the tweeters do their job. Once the amp was added, the highs just blast towards my ears. I never intended to get an amp, but when I say the one that was on sale, I bought it. When the tech installed it, He told me that it was getting too hot too fast, so he installed a new one. Awesome. With my Nitro, I was adding something new all of the time. I am basically at a dead end with the DJ, as not much is out there, as far as accessories go. The hitch will be installed as soon as I can lift it into the back of the car. I'll have them install my Nokya yellow fog light bulbs at the same time. I'm thinking of caliper covers, but I'm not sure as how red will look with Copperhead Pearl.
  5. Possibly there is an air bag behind the A pillar trim. My Nitro had them there, and it did not have a grab handles there; only over the doors like my DJ.
  6. Thanks for the info. Good to know nothing that nothing is wrong.
  7. If it comes from the factory, it needs to be there!
  8. I wish that I could answer your question, as I have seen many FWD cars being towed on a dolly.
  9. Brian, I was in Columbus last spring. I keep my little screen on Fuel Economy and reset it every time I fill it up. I was on the loop around the city with the Cruise set for 73, and it was reading either 35.5 or 36.6 mpg. I assume it to be accurate because it measures the flow of gas in relation to the rotation of the wheels.
  10. I have a little over 5,000 miles on my 2014 Crossroad. The only thing I notice is that when I put my foot on the brake pedal to start the car, once it is started the pedal goes almost to the floor. I never thought too much about this because the brakes work flawlessly.
  11. Nice looking Crossroad they got there, but it would look better in Copperhead Pearl.
  12. I never saw the instructions because the Dealer bought the camera. The tech showed me a cable that looked like an ethernet cable, which he said he had to run from the back. There is a cable in my DJ hanging behind the radio; not plugged into anything. He was hoping that it was for the camera; but, alas, not to be. No idea what it is for.
  13. Welcome to the forum. You forgot kitty litter.
  14. It's the damn kid. Gotta drive that little brat all over the damn place! Boy, it sounds like the Acorn doesn't fall too far from the tree. Ha
  15. The 2 sets of Alpine 6x9 2-way speakers I purchased at On Sale @ Best Buy, for around $80/pair.
  16. Did you just tuck your wires under your interior panels? He removed all of my panels; maybe he didn't have to do this. There is a jack that looks like an ethernet jack on the back of the radio. This where the camera plugs in, so I'm not sure what 3 wires you are referring to. I installed a camera on my Nitro, using a LockPick. I just tucked the 2 wires under the interior panels. I did take the right rear one out, as it takes less than 5 minutes to remove. Not sure of the DJ. I had my camera and LockPick installed in about 3 hours, like you. The MyGig radio comes out from the front. 4 screws - very easy. All I can say is that the Mopar Service Manual Says 2 hours. I have no way of knowing who came up with this figure. Now, it's all water under the bridge. I got my DJ back, and the camera works fine. No rattles or squeaks from having all of those interior panels removed. Plus, you have the self satisfaction of knowing that you did yours yourself. I know the feeling. My hat is off to you!
  17. I put P255/50R19's on my stock Crossroad wheels, and I can not get my index fingernail in between the tire and the bottom plate for the front strut. Your wheels will begin to close up this space, so be careful what size tire you choose. I just realized he posted this almost a year ago!
  18. When this happened on my 2011 Nitro, the dealer had to replace the rear wiper motor. Lucky, I was still under warranty.
  19. Welcome to the forum. Last summer I drove my 2011 Nitro to my Dealer to buy a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk. Then I saw this Copperhead Pearl Beauty sitting all by itself. I drove it around the lot, and told the salesman I'd take it. I saved over $5,000 when compared to the Cherokee, and the Crossroad looks much better, IMHO. First time I was ever in a DJ! No regrets!
