Check engine light coming on with a couple different error codes
dhh3 replied to jhartley's topic in Engine & Transmission
The battery can test to the correct voltage, even with a bad cell. FYI -
I could write the exact same review for my Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus tires, except for the fact that these tires have an 80,000 mile tread wear warranty. Since I only have about 3,000 miles on them so far, I'll get back to you in about 10 years! I do not drive as much as I used to.

The harness arrived today, from Canada: 1 week early. According to the directions, there is a piece, probably made out of plastic, that snaps into the round hole in the bracket, which you removed. This does not come with the harness! However, this piece has an oval hole that the 4-pin plug snaps into. I'll try and hunt it down. Also, to install the harness, you have to remove the rear bumper facia! Now that I have the AHC code added, when the Service Manager looks up my VIN, will it appear as though it came from the factory with the Trailer Tow Prep Group? If so, I'm curious if my dealer has a standard price for a DJ for installing the hitch and harness, and then activating the harness. I can't get it installed until I am able to lift the hitch into the car! I did something to my back yesterday when I dragged the box into my garage.

Anybody have yellow fog lights?

Bulbs have arrived. I'm going to have my dealer install them when I get my hitch installed. -
Welcome to the forum. Curious to see what your results will be.

2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads
dhh3 replied to Ray Morrow's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
7,000 miles on your 2015? I just rolled over 5,000 on my 2014. This is the reason I will never have a radio with Nav. -
NO!

Hitch arrived today. It has a bracket welded to it for a 4 pin receptacle. The harness is coming from Canada, so it will take longer to get here. This harness, I believe, has a flat 4 pin connecter. Do this somehow clip to the bracket which is welded onto the hitch?

Are you still using the original battery? If so, I would check the voltage. Slightly low voltage will cause all sorts of havoc with the electronics. -

How can you tell if a DJ has LEDs? -

He needs to set the toilet over one of the second row floor beer coolers. Try and keep the leather clean! -

Dealership Maintenance "Service Battery and Terminals"
dhh3 replied to AWMCC's topic in Maintenance & D.Y.I.
As you said, test the voltage and clean the terminals. The price was probably labor because the battery is so inaccessible. -
OK Thank you. I keep mine on the fuel economy. I never looked at the other choices. I'll have to check them out.

true cost of journey?
dhh3 replied to jjflores's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
The only things I will buy on time are cars and a house. Everything else, I pay cash. I only use 1 credit card and pay it off each month. You have to figure in your finance rate, which is dependant on your credit score. Make sure that you closely watch the finance officer, because he will start adding things that you may not want. This is where the dealer makes money in kickbacks. When I purchased my DJ, the only option I added was my extended warranty. It is cheaper to do it this way than to wait until your factory warranty runs out. And, I didn't get the most expensive one and it kind of ticked him off. I wouldn't let him talk me into anything else. Paint protection, interior protection are a waste of money. -

I just cut a hole in the center of my seat, and the Kicker just absorbs it. I should patent this feature. -
Alpine KTP-445U "Brick" Amp

The one I had done is the bottom disc. It is now fused to the one above it. Doctor said I would loose some mobility, but the healing on this one is going much slower than the one I had two years ago. -
Where is the oil pressure gage? I didn't know the DJ had one.
