Finally, My Crossroad Looks Like The Chicago Show Crossroad!
dhh3 replied to dhh3's topic in Wheels & Tires
Drool, all of you that picked the wrong color! From this view, you can see that the front tires are outside of the front of the wheel well, where it tucks in. The tires are well past the edge of the wheel, so I am less concerned about scraping one. Enjoy. I sure am! More to come. I was a T stop today. 2 people in an Edge, to my left, similar color. Driver and passenger could not stop staring as I let them go 1st! -
Which radio do you have? If you have the 8" screen, the rear camera will work with it. Save some $. Use your cell phone for Navigation!. The camera is around $350.00. The radio with Nav is around $2,000. + installation. They have to remove 1/2 of of the dash, interior panels on the drivers side, left rear interior panel, left third row seat and gate interior panel to install the camera. I made a deal with my dealer when I bought my DJ. Dealer paid for the camera, I paid for installation. Service Manager said $178.50 so that is what I was quoted and paid. They had my car for 4 days, not counting the weekend. Book said 2 hrs to install camera. Book is obviously wrong. I was lucky. I even got a rental.

The inside tail light modules are simple to take off. Open the gate, and you will see 2 plastic rivets. There are notches in the head. Use a small screwdriver to pull the rivet out. Then pull the whole plastic piece out. You can then pull the whole lamp module towards you - there are two pins that fit in rubber washers. Then, you can see the colors of all of the lights in the module. Fun, huh!

Welcome to the forum. I rarely let it go below 1/2 but at that point I can put 10 gallons in.

Here is my Crossroad VIN: ET264901. Let me know if you need the whole thing. Parts @ my dealership just need the last 8 digits/numbers. Curious what you find out.

Warning Light Party. (ABS, Traction & Service AWD)
dhh3 replied to McBAIN's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
All these use the wheel sensors; the ones that tell the computer how fast each wheel is turning. Check them all to make sure the connectors are seated properly and there is no corrosion present. -
Front and Rear Splash Guards for 2012 AVP
dhh3 replied to yaupon3's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I thought that I might have trouble installing the front ones on my Crossroad, because of the platinum strip running below the doors. Ordered a set from my dealer, and had them install them. The leading edge of the plastic strip below the doors is the same for all DJs. -
I do not believe that the R/T is lowered; just stiffer springs, and thicker sway bars.

I, too, have the non Nav 8.4 base system. I can not believe the base that comes out of this little Kicker box! The tech initially thought that it was a waste of time and my $ until he heard it. Awesome, for what it is. When I purchased my DJ last summer, I saw a factory amp for sale on ebay, but was not sure how to hook a sub to it, so I passed.

Nice ride!

Does that storage area have a lift off cover of some kind?

Touring Suspension vs Normal Suspension
dhh3 replied to jaymista's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
Why are each of the 4 springs listed independently on the build sheet, under the options section? I would think that springs would be standard! LOL -
Touring Suspension vs Normal Suspension

I have the build sheet for my 2014 Crossroad with the Touring Suspension. In the options section it list 4 springs. I'm guessing that it adds stiffer springs over standard. -

Good thing. Looks like you may still be under warranty. -

Radio rebooting constantly
dhh3 replied to Notappliable's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
If rebooting did nothing, replacement radios can be found at oemautoparts.com. They bench test all of their radios. if there is a tiny scratch on the screen, they replace it! Some are brand new - dealer take outs. The radio model number is printed on the right bottom corner: ie, RBZ They are about 1/2 the price of anyone that I have found. I have purchased 3 radios from them. -
Sirius XM problems
dhh3 replied to jeepdaddy65's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Try rebooting your radio. Disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for at least 1/2 hour. If this doesn't work, you will have to replace it. -
Upgrading speakers
dhh3 replied to Jstmahoney's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I bought my 6x9 Alpines at Best Buy because they were on sale. They put out the best bass of all the speakers on the display board, including Kickers and Sony. I bought the Kicker sub/enclosure from 1/2 Price Audio on ebay. List is $299. I made an offer for $250 and it was accepted + free shipping. I bought the tweeters from Audio Savings on ebay. I searched by Model number and they had the lowest price + free shipping. All of the installs were/will be done @ Best Buy. I added an amp to my Nitro, and really didn't see/hear much difference. I usually run the volume @ 20. I can turn it all the way up with no distortion or clipping. The sub has a remote gain control mounted under the heater controls, so I have no plans for an amp. This little sub will vibrate the mirrors and my baggy jeans! And, actually hurt my ears. After the tweeter install next week, I think that I am done with my audio. -
Look under the rear of your DJ. Between the rear of the spare and the back bumper, there may be a wire harness that terminates here. It is either white and blue or green. This is the harness for the lights and anti sway. So, if you have this harness, you just need the short one that plugs in here and terminates at the 7 pin plug, mounted to the Mopar hitch.
