  1. The more I play with this 8.4, the more I hate it. I searched hi and low for an iPod Touch with iOS7. They all come with iOS8 now. Uconnect only supports iOS7 until they come out with an update. Loaded all my songs from iTunes, and NO ARTWORK! What a POS! My RBZ MyGig in my Nitro had it way over this piece of Junk, except for the screen size, which is nice. So, I bought an SD card, and copied my iTunes on it. Single song playlist, in alphabetical order of album name! WTF? Looked it up on the internet. It seems, at least on a PC, you have to load your iTunes into the Music Folder. A couple of steps, but I finally got it. Loaded iTunes back on the Card, from the Music Folder. Still no artwork. Put the card in my computer, opened the iTunes Folder, and there were 6 or 7 subfolders. Looked at each of these, and there was one folder that was just Code. I took that folder off the SD card, and put it on my desktop. SD card works perfectly now. I can search songs by artist, album, song or type anything in to find what I'm looking for. I have no idea what that folder with code was, but, apparently the SD card does not use it. Erased the iPOD, and reinstalled the way I did with the SD Card. Looks fine on the iPod but NO art on the 8.4. I'm stumped. So, the SD card is fine until I find a fix for the iPod.
  2. Hope your deductible is less than a 1/2 tank of gas!

One comes to mind! (self-absorbed gigolo) - not one push
  4. What iOS are you using? Uconnect only supports up to 7.1 I hunted around forever trying to find an iPod touch with iOS7. I finally found one, and none of the artwork displays. I'll figure it out.

    On vacation

Welcome home, sailor! I don't like washing mine when it below freezing, because for some reason the top of the rear bumper does not dry, and I don't relish the idea of chipping the ice off! I wash it, though, when the salt starts to get to me, ice be damned!

Boy, you don't know what you are missing!
  7. You can pull the switch straight up from the arm rest. It is held in place with metal friction clips. Use a panel removal tool so you don't mark it. Then you can make sure everything is plugged in tight.
  8. Welcome to the forum. I have a 3-row 14 Crossroad. Kicker makes an awesome underseat 8" amplified sub. I installed one, with a remote gain control. I have a thread on it. I does put out some serious bass. No wires to the battery, as it is only 15a. I has to have ported tubes like the Bose Radios.
  9. Who told you this? And, why aren't you covered? Just to be clear, there is a fuse box on top of the TIPM, but it is all one unit. It is built this way so there are not excess wires running all over the place. You can find these on ebay. You will need to get one for your model year and the approximate options on your DJ.
  10. The only other thing to remember is corrosion, especially around the TIPM. Diagnostics will tell you what part has failed and needs to be replaced, as you said. Good posting.
  11. I bought an extended warranty that pays for oil changes and tire rotations, as well as covers the whole car for 10 years or 100k miles. I thought that the oil change was every 4,250, bit it is 3,850 or 3 months. I brought it in for an oil change at a little over 4,000 miles. I bought it at the end of June, so that makes approximately 8 months on the original oil. I was just waiting for the 4,250 mark. I didn't recall "or every 3 months"! I'll get it changed every 3 months, because I'm not putting a lot of miles on it. The oil change indicator never came on, so I guess that I didn't do any damage: but I guess that they reset it so it would not come on too soon before the next oil change. Tire rotation is every 7,000 miles. I posted on another thread that I always add a bottle of STP at every oil change. No more!
  12. No, the wheel sensors are not TPMS sensors. These are the sensors that tell the computer the rotation rate for each wheel. They are located outside of the wheel, but I have no idea where they would be on the DJ.
  13. There is not much out there for replacement of our fog light bulbs. I had the same bulbs in my Nitro and searched for over a year for a yellow bulb.
  14. Just for clarification on the three power port covers: the ones with the key indicate they only work with the key in the ignition: engine running, but they might work on ACC. The one in the console has a battery. It is on all the time for charging your phone out of sight, or whatever. No one has still answered my question: is the starter button wired to the starter, or does it just send a signal? Just curious.

Well, I do know that I don't use the finger that I reserve for other drivers. Checked the blinker fluid. It was low.

GM is so crooked that they use your ignition switch for someone who has been recalled! The more I drive my DJ, the more of love it. I consider it the new version of my Jeep Commander. I am curious to see what they will do as to a replacement in a few years.
  17. Welcome to the forum. The cruise control will not work if one of the wheel sensors is bad. I would check them: make sure the contacts are clean and completely plugged in.
  18. I filled out the form. After reading through the entire thread, it didn't seem like anyone did it. I did have the mentioned MOPAR CAI on my Nitro. I love the sucking sound a CAI makes, but for some reason the 3.7 did not do this. But, it did look cool.

Welcome to the forum. Did you replace the ignition switch in the Malibu? You may have gotten more for trade in value.
