Wow! A set of Halo Projectors for my Nitro were $250.00. I was going to take my DJ down to Lingenfelters because they are an Oracle Dealership, to try and fit a set of LEDs for DRLs. Now that my DRLs are finally functional, no need to spend any more money on lights; except for a set of Signal Mirrors. Whenever I do a search on ebay, I slim it down to North America only.

Welcome to the forum. There is a small fuse box above and behind the glove box. It could be a relay clicking.

OMG! I'm in mourning.

09 R/T vs 12 SXT
dhh3 replied to Blount35121's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
2014 Copperhead Pearl Crossroad. You can't go wrong. The only mistake I made was seeing the leather interior, I figured it had headed seats. Not to be: option. -
Around 6" of snow, with more to come. My addition seems to be one of the last to be plowed, but should be closer to the top because of the hills. DJ took me out of my garage (backed out) and up the hill in R, without a hint of anything being different. I was considering backing it into the garage, but decided to take my chances. Put it in D and she just went like nothing was wrong. TC came on a few times, from a complete stop, on a plowed road with slush, but saw no reason to turn it off as it is acting like an ELSD would. So, my concerns seem to be unwarranted. I was concerned about leaving an unplowed road into a plowed road, where the snowplow will leave a mound of snow to drive though. Not an issue, but I could see that if this mound was high enough, I could possibly get hung up, but so far, so good. I'm beginning to see that I did not need the AWD. Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. I have learned a lot. But, winter isn't over yet, now is it?

Almost zero is still a positive number: therefore, it is still in the running. When we push the start button, is it wired to the starter, or does it send a signal to the starter to start?
-
Thank you for answering my question, and putting this concern to rest. Maybe Copperhead Pearl should be the Official DJ color!
-
I wonder if one of your neighbors has a remote control for their garage door opener that is starting your car, even though you say you do not have remote start? Weird.
-
Welcome to the forum. You did not mention if the second FOB fixed your remote starting issue. If it didn't, try this. Walk around the car 5 or 6 times continually locking and locking the doors. Then, do the same with the remote start. My Dealer did this once for me. He told me that the Jeep had to relearn the FOBs. I never had another problem, but he did order a new receiver since I was still under warranty.

Maybe I should have kept mine, but the P255/50R19's sure make my Crossroad look better.

Since I also have a Copperhead Pearl DJ, you say that the color matches just so. Could you elaborate on this for me, please? Since every new car I have ever owned eventually gets hit, just something to think about for me. My last two vehicles were Metallic Silver, which is hard to match. I only use my Dealer's Body Shop. The Silver was very close, but not a bull's eye.

So, your Dealer sends you a nifty key chain. Today, I received a nice laminated letter from my Dealer, worth $2,000, if I would bring in my 2006 Jeep Commander, as they need good, clean used vehicles. I was forced to trade my beloved Commander back in 2011 for a 2011 Dodge Nitro ($3,000 rebate!). Same Dealer. Not my choice. I did want a DJ. Long story. I may share it on the forum in a few weeks.
-
Why is there? What is it for?
-
Mine is constantly consistent. You are correct about matching silver. No matter how they try, it can not be done. My last two vehicles were metallic silver.

Welcome to the forum. All I know is that there is a huge hunk of plastic covering my engine so there is no way that I can answer your question. Sorry.

I did not get one. Maybe it's for women only, since some consider the DJ a "Man Van!"

Can't Unlock Maps
dhh3 replied to lanc747's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
This is exactly why I have never had navigation with my radio, from the time that it became available. Mopar used to make Nav Units for specific vehicles, but they were actually dolled up Garmins. The best part was that they mounted on top of the dash, with the screens at eye level, where all Nav units should be mounted, IMHO. Now, I just use my iPhone as my Nav unit. I have a mount that clips to the center vent. It is too far away when using a windshield mount. -
There are 2 Best Buys in Fort Wayne. The Store I frequent most is 3 weeks out with installations. As soon as I arrived at the other Store, I was escorted out into the main Store, so I have no idea how they installed it. The Store that is closer to me has a couch in the Service Bay where one can watch the Techs at work. I was just curious if they had to remove the front seat. He said he found a wire just hanging behind the radio, going nowhere. The Tech that installed my Back Up Camera mentioned this wire also. He was hoping that it was for the camera. Nope. Anyone have a clue? Navigation antenna maybe?

No RCA cables. The harness had small wires that tapped directly into the speaker wires. And, no wires to the hidden battery! Sorry; I should have taken a picture of the harness before I put it in. I figured this was coming! LOL I'll see what I can do when the sun comes out tomorrow. It is totally hidden from view, so the picture may be dark. There is a small bulkhead that runs across the vehicle under the front seats. It is about 2" behind this. They screwed it to the floor, longways. It came with velcrow straps so it would be easy to remove, er, steal! LOL

OMG! I can not believe what this small box puts out. An 8" sub speaker with sounds channels within the box; similar to what Bose does with its radios. Prior to installing the Sub, I installed 4 6x9 Alpines. I set the equalizer to max bass and highs, and about 1/3 way up for the mids. I could turn the volume all the way up with no distortion or clipping. Now, I have the bass set to 2 above center, and left the mids and highs the same. I hear the music from the Alpines more clear and crisper, and if I turn the bass gain all the way up, I can vibrate all of the mirrors. I am thoroughly impressed, and amazed at what this little box can do. It is under the drivers seat. It would not fit under the passenger seat because of the storage box. The remote gain is right under the climate control buttons; very easy to reach. To get a sub in my Nitro, I bought the factory sub enclosure with the crap Infinity paper speaker from a forum member. Then I had to buy the right rear interior panel that is designed to hide the sub enclosure. I bought a 400w Kicker mono amp and an 8" dual reflex kicker sub, because 8" is what the enclosure was designed for. I had to have Monster Cables ran from the battery. The bass sound was awesome, but the right rear panel and liftgate covers would constantly vibrate and buzz if I turned the gain up too far, depending on the song. I can honestly say that this little box puts out the same bass sound as what I put in my Nitro and is worth every penny. The good part is that I did not have to take the car apart! It came with a 15a fuse, so the Best Buy Tech just tied it into the radio circuit, also 15a. So, the sub comes on immediately when the radio is turned on. Nice. $105 installation fee. While I was walking around the store, I found out that the iPods which look like an iPhone are still being sold with iOS6 and 7; both compatible with Uconnect. I get my iPhone6 next week. It will have iOS8 already installed. So, I'll get a 16 GB phone and buy an iPod for my music. Then I should be set. There is no way to control the music on the SD card, other than to toggle up or down to the song I want. Not handy and takes my eyes off of the road. The songs are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the album!

I like the black grill, but you are going to have to take your headlights apart and spray the insides black!

I had a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade. The only reason that I bring this up is that as an option, Mopar offered a sub that fit under the driver's seat. It got its power from the lighter/power port. Back then, I had my first fusion at C5 and 6, so was still able to do stuff! I put it in myself and it sounded decent for its size; about 1/2 the size of this Kicker. So we'll see. Appointment is in about and hour. To infinity and beyond! Probably should be: to Kicker and beyond, but it sounds better with infinity! Ha I like that!

And when you turn on the signal light, it goes off on the side that is blinking - like the TOO bright LEDs on some of the newer cars do! I was behind a White Ram Pickup and could see my reflection in the tailgate. The guy behind me probably thought I was an idiot who couldn't make up my mind: left turn or right. I was practicing with my reflection and was in a left turn only lane.
