where are you mounting radar detectors?
Milous replied to crossroad's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I went with the Escort instead of the Valentine (didn't want a 90s technology detector, don't care about the useless arrows, and don't like false alarms). Also, soooo many nicer features on the Escort. Mine sits on the left front of the dash, at the bottom of the A-pillar. I made an "L" shaped bracket out of a piece of thin metal. I attached the bracket to the bottom of the detector with velcro. The left side of the bracket slides down between the dash and the side of the A-pillar - it did not need to be fastened into place. I used a piece of the "soft" side of velcro strips on both sides of the downward side of the bracket, which helps to keep it firmly in position. I used 2 short pieces of round glue sticks underneath the right side of the bracket, cut to length to hold the detector level. What's nice is that I can easily remove the detector, it lifts right out in seconds, and put it back in place just as quick. Only a few inches of the cord is exposed, it fits down below the A-pillar and is routed behind the dash to the back of the power outlet in the console. -
Costaltech Unconnect AIR V2
Milous replied to Antdog24's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Don't know if things have improved, but years ago Coastaletech had one of the worst reputations in the business for customer service. -
There was a Star Case bulletin released last April that addressed the rear seats issue ("2nd Row Seat is Hard to Move Fore/Aft"). The "fix" is to loosen the seat bolts and retighten them in a specified order and torque (and to confirm that the seat tracks are synchronized). Tried it on my '14 but didn't seem to help.

The original rotors for your vehicle are listed as p/n 4779712AA (sales code BRE, VIN filtered). These are the newer rotors (your build date is 7/05/12 which was near the end of the 2012 model year).

2015 DJ R/T Pricing:
Milous replied to Matt Himpler's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
Current invoice for what you spec is $35,112 (including destination). Dealer holdback is about $1100, getting them down to cost (~$34,000) could be a bit of a challenge, unless there are any rebates that would come into play or if the vehicle has been sitting on the lot a long time. -

The following sequence of events must occur within sixty (60) seconds of the ignition switch being placed in the On position in order for the programming to be completed successfully. 1.With the ignition switch in any position except On or Start, buckle the driver side front seat belt. 2.Turn the ignition switch to the On position and wait for the seatbelt indicator reminder function to conclude (about six seconds). 3.Unbuckle and buckle the driver side front seat belt three or more times, ending with the belt buckled. 4.Turn the ignition switch to any position except On or Start to toggle the BeltAlert feature from its current setting (from active to inactive, or from inactive to active). A single chime tone will provide an audible confirmation that the programming sequence has been successfully completed

4.3s to 8.4n
Milous replied to zamoon's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Regarding the part numbers... when a part # is superseded Chrysler advances the last digit (letter)... Example: 05064993AF 05064993AG 05064993AH 05064993AI In the above set, 05064993AI is the most current part #. If you are ordering through a dealer, the latest revision will usually come up, and depending on parts stock it may be the only choice offered. Typically, it's best to have the latest revision when possible. Lower: 1SK601X9AD is for export models. For the U.S. market the part # is 1RK591X9AD. -
The security codes started with the 2012 model year, and some late 2011 model year radios also have it. It's no big deal to get the code. Personally, I would not go with anything other than a 2014 radio, I wouldn't want one built 4 or 5 years ago, too many changes/fixes/updates along the way. One advantage with the 2014-up radios is that they are compatible with MTP (Media Transfer Protocol). Apple phones do not use MTP, but Android devices do (software 4.0 and above). Windows phones, and Blackberry OS 10 and above all use MTP. The radio software update for MTP will not work on 2013 and prior model year radios.

UConnect Radio Differences
Milous replied to gwin99's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
No way. The 2016 models will launch in July 2015. A year later the all-new 2017 will launch, and an SRT version will come out the following model year (early release, ~January/February 2017).
