The tire has “belts” in them. As in Steel Belted Radial etc. Nothing that can be replaced, you need a new tire. Try going to where you purchased the tires, tell them your issue, see what they say. Also, are you sure they did a 4 wheel alignment, not just a front wheel?

Bluetooth
OhareFred replied to Soccer mom's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Wow. Is your phone paired to UConnect? Is your phone Bluetooth turned on? Is your phone turned on? Think you could give us any more information? -
Depends on the engine

If you wanted a real 4x4, you should have bought a Jeep Trailhawk. The Journey IS NOT an off road vehicle....it’s a parking lot with snow vehicle

I thought those were for shipping and securing on a flat bed tow truck, not for recovery use.....

If your talking about the hitch receiver, you need to purchase that, it’s not part of the tow package. A lot of times it’s put in the rear storage compartment all the way in back.

Was the trans new or rebuilt? Who did the replacement? Will it only not shift into OD? Did you check the TCM? need more info.....

There is an issue with the rubber lines going to the calipers getting pinched by a clamp. The clamp gets rusty and squeezes the rubber line. Other then that I’m kinda out of ideas but maybe someone else will chime in....

Codes p0792, p0734, p0128 2011 Dodge Journey
OhareFred replied to Nykol's topic in Engine & Transmission
If you absolutely cannot get out of this deal, depending on what the 6 month warranty costs, you might want to jump on it. This car sounds like nothing but problems. I would REALLY try to get a different car. Tell them you will Be forced to tell your story and give bad reviews on social media (but be nice, no yelling and dramatics). Ask to speak with the dealership general manager/owner, NOT the salesman (he can’t help you). Most will work with you, especially if they really did not know about the issues. Maybe they will fix the issue for good will. What kind of dealer is it? A big 3 dealer or a third party on the corner dealer?- 11 replies

I have a 2018 Cherokee. 9 speed transmission and a 4 cylinder. Couldn’t be happier, plenty of get up and go, the trans shifts like any other automatic transmission. Foot to gas, car goes..?

If it’s a trans issue your looking at $1500-2000 dollars.... don’t you have 72 hours to cancel the deal? Get in the car and get it back and get your $$$back...- 11 replies

When you bled the brakes did you cycle the ABS pump? I have heard that bad calipers can cause this. Which did you replace? Maybe another has gone bad....

I have a similar issue with my 09’s UConnect. It constantly switches between the car speakers and the iPhone speakers. I’ve been to the dealer 3 times, 6 calls to UConnect. UConnect says it’s the module or the phone. The dealer says the module is fine, it’s UConnects ancient software. Apple says it’s not the phone software, it should be working. UConnect has zero plans to update this old ass software. UCONNECT SUCKS. Ripping the old radio out and putting in a Kenwood with car play. 100 times better unit and FCA can stick their UConnect where the sun doesn’t shine.I won’t lose anything because only the radio and UConnect run through the stereo, no heat controls, etc.... rant over...?

That’s a dealer only as far as I know. Your looking for a programmer, not a reader. A lot more than $100. There are some available, search the web...

You can get a code reader online, just google it and you will see s ton of options. Try Harbor Freight as well. I got a basic code reader for under $30 from Amazon. The more it does, the more it costs. Mine does not read ABS,etc, just basic codes. The one you want would be a few hundred dollars and would not program anything. I’m sure others will chime in...

An OBD device that does what, exactly? Read codes, allow for changing tuning, transmission tweaking? We need more info. Year, model, engine and exactly what your looking for....
