  1. Try disconnecting the battery for at least 30 mins. Might reset everything. If that doesn’t work I would think you have some kind of warranty if you just bought it.
  2. If I’m not mistaken the 2017 had led taillights and ,if so, the assembly gets replaced, not a bulb. Not sure if it’s standard or only on the upper trim levels.
  3. I can get under and reach with no problem, but for the $52 it costs for a full synthetic change maybe twice a year ($27 for a 6 pack of Mobil1 at COSTCO, $25 for a filter and they use my oil ) why get my hands dirty? Then you have to capture the waste oil and take it somewhere. I guess I do use an oil extractor, the guy at the oil change place!
  4. Thanks for the lead! Wouldn’t that trigger a check engine light or no because it’s the trans? I will search....
  5. My 09 R/T with the V6, 87k miles, just started acting up. car sits in the garage overnight. Starts right up. Back out of the driveway, shift into D and...it dies. Put it in P or N and it starts right up and off we go. Won’t happen again till next am. If I back in the driveway and pull out in the am, no issue. Runs smooth, no studdering, etc. The intake manifold was replaced last year, and the plugs at the same time. Air cleaner is clean (K&N), fuel mileage is normal. No check engine light, unfortunately. Any thoughts? Want to try a few ideas before I drop it at the dealer with no MIL light on.....
  6. Was the 2012 covered under the drivers side wire loom recall? If so was it done? I would think the wires would be melted but you never know...
  7. Try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins or more. That will clear and reset things and your screen may come back to life. Sounds like it’s frozen. In the bottom right hand corner is a 3 letter code, like REN. That is your radio model, might be helpful to know.
  8. Wouldn’t want to try and find it if I need the horn.... gotta be a way to track it down.. unless it’s some kinda fancy factory option
  9. I’m sure you checked, but is the volume on the phone itself turned up? I thought I had an issue with my IPhone untill I realized the volume on the phone itself was turned down.....
  10. I recall someone else having a problem like this and it was the battery sensor on one of the cables. Try replacing your cables from the battery to the jump posts and fuse box. Try a forum search, you should be able to find LOTS of no start subjects.
  11. I don’t think so. Just something you have to get used to, or move your hands to just above the 3-9 position.

I want to turn my DJ into a Jeep Wrangler. Would it be better for me to buy all the parts or just buy a Wrangler??
  13. Child lock should not let it open from the inside. The fact that it does should eliminate it as an issue. It might be one of the rods has fallen off its position. Have to take the door panel off and look....
  14. Any full service mechanic shop should be able to bleed them. You need to hook a computer in so it cycles the abs pump. Not your typical driveway job.
  15. Did you bleed the abs pump when you did each caliper ? If not you need to do that. Gone are the days of just bleeding each caliper
  16. I’m not sure how the fan works, but check in the fuse box for a fan relay. It may have gone bad. Check the fan connections, they could be loose or dirty. I think there is a fan thermostat, maybe you can bypass that and have the fan run all the time. just a few “emergency “ ideas/fixes so you can get home....
  17. Great info! Thanks for letting everyone know. I would have bet $$ it would require a code from the dealer! Glad it worked out easy for you!
  18. Your a little vague here. Does it crank? Does anything on the dash light up? Have you tried starting in neutral? Does the radio work when in the accessory position? Are you out of gas? saying it doesn’t run is not enough info. We need more symptoms. I think the natural safety switch is in the transmission. If you are the original owner the 09 had a lifetime powertrain warranty from Dodge. fill us in so we can help you.....
  19. Been using a K&N filter since 09 with no issues. 84k miles...
  20. Unfortunately not so isolated. Search the forum for dead..battery
  21. If you run your own power, you need to use a relay AND fuse to be safe. Pretty sure it will require a trip to the dealer if you want plug and play. Curious to see how it works out. Let us know!
  22. I seem to recall a discussion about a drivers door module. Man I wish I could remember more. Try a search for door module see if anything pops up. Hopefully someone else will remember more...
  23. Go to ,Mopar.com and make yourself an account. Put your vin in and you can see what’s been done and if there are any outstanding recalls. Sure sounds like the door loom wires in the recall....
  24. I’m an idiot. I thought you wanted to ADD Nav (a very common question here) not that you HAD Nav and needed an update. Sorry, read it to fast
  25. I had something similar on my 09. Sounded like something was going to push through the floor. Dealer found some broken bolts on the rear stabilizer bar (I think that’s what it was, maybe a cross link, idk) and bad struts/shocks in the rear. Thankfully it was under my extended warranty. Was a bit over $1000 to fix. The third row seats and interior panels need to come out. Who designs this shit??
