Go into settings. Looks like it may have reset to a default screen. Does everything work? AM/FM, Sat if you have it? Did you pair your phone? Does your phone show a UConnect option in your Bluetooth settings? Does UConnect show an option to pair a phone? Did you read the owners manual? Did you set up an account at Mopar.com? sorry for all the questions but your being pretty vague and it’s hard to tell what’s going on from my couch...?

What have you tried other than the update? Did you try disconnecting the negative cable for 30-45 mins like suggested in your other post?

Apple CarPlay suggestions

See my other post. I would AVOID THIS SELLER. You need to disassemble your screen to install a circuit board, which they don’t tell you! No help from China customer service. Buyer beware! -
NavTool Carplay Module
OhareFred replied to tdottrucker's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I had MAJOR issues with JoyAuto when I bought, then had to fight to return. What a major hassle. Everything was an argument, 25 emails to get it returned. Had to threaten with a FTC complaint plus it cost me $52 to ship it back. With the Jeep, they don’t tell you they want you to disassemble your screen and install a circuit board. Not saying it wouldn’t work, just know what you are getting into. BTW JoyAuto told me never to contact them again. That’s the customer service you get from China.... -
Apple CarPlay suggestions

In my 09 DJ I pulled out the factory system (UConnect would not work with our new iPhones) and installed a Kenwood unit. Works like a charm. Wireless CarPlay, better sound, better unit. Lost nothing as far as wheel controls, etc. never had HVAC,etc on factory unit. I went through Crutchfield.... -

Try here: https://www.navtool.com/jeep-cherokee-2014-2018-smartphone-mirroring-category.aspx I am looking to add CarPlay to my Cherokee. Looked at NUMEROUS sites, this one seems the easiest and least intrusive for the Jeep. Just waiting for them to get more in.. Not even sure they support the DJ, but it’s worth a look. -

I doubt this is a software issue. Get it scanned for codes -
No starting, starts in neutral, clicking at ignition

Get what replaced? The starter, tipm, the head restraint? The entire car? Electrical issues suck, I know. Your obviously frustrated, and I get it, but your ride is at least 11 years old. Maybe you just bought it, but it’s still at least 11 years old. My 09 I bought in 08 will be 13 years old in July. I am lucky, have a lifetime extended warranty, which FCA is losing their a** on with all the repairs done under that. If I didn’t have the warranty it would have been gone long ago. Sometimes you just have to bit the bullet, take one up the butt and move on. -
I can honestly say I have never seen this before. Not many people putting winches of a DJ. Not like it’s an off road vehicle, like a Jeep. The only setup I could think of is, as you stated, using your trailer hitch. That would be if you wanted to drag something (tree limbs, bushes, etc). What do you plan on doing with your winch?

I have heard dryer sheets work, but never had the issue can’t tell you for sure. Can’t hurt to hang a few away from hot parts....

2009 JOURNEY SXT STARTING ISSUE
OhareFred replied to Tamy1119's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Definitely have him test the battery with an ELECTRONIC battery tester, one that can print battery health as well as charge, etc. He’ll know what I mean. Even a new battery can crap out in a very short amount of time, as he is well aware. Now all that battery crap sorted out, I know Jeep has an issue with their newer Cherokees where the starter relay has issues when really cold or hot. Works fine in between but not in those other conditions. Maddening. Maybe he can swap a relay around (maybe for the rear defroster or some other non critical component) and see if it goes away, or just swap in a new one. That’s all I got. As stated these new cars are VERY voltage sensitive and it sounds like he checked everything else.... -
Transmission: Flush? Or drain and fill?
OhareFred replied to bramfrank's topic in Engine & Transmission
I had mine done at the dealer. It was around $225, did it around 64k miles. They did a filter change, all fluid and flush ( not sure what order lol). Now have 98k miles without issue. I figured with the lifetime Powertrain warranty I would let the dealer do it...? -
Cracked Screen

As 2late said, blower motor or blower motor fuse. Separate motors for front & rear with the 3 zone system

Well, I don’t know if this will help, but you thumb drive should be 8 gig or less, nothing else can be on it, it must be formatted to fat32 if all the above is what you have, re-download the update zip file. Reformat the thumb drive to fat32. Unzip the download directly to the thumb drive. Disconnect the radio from power (not just turn it off, pull the fuse) for at least 30 mins. Plug the thumb drive in BEFORE you power up the radio sometimes as the radio starts up it will see the update and start it. If not, your radio might be shot....let us know what happens

The Journey, and most rolling computers, are very sensitive to voltage. The old headlights work etc. no longer applies. You need to have it load tested with a new electronic load tester, one that prints out results. all that being said, I had to replace my starter at about 60 thousand miles. Sounds like the starter could be the issue....
