  1. Im not sure its that big of an issue...no problems at all with my 09 honking...
  2. I would use carb cleaner but not sure it really matters. Mine did this for the first time ever, but it was my fault. Car was cold, backed up, still slowly rolling I jumped from R to D and it died. Never did it before the other day.
  3. Sorry Bamfrank, i have to disagree, it is not functioning EXACTLY as described, unless its described as a piece of shit that will constantly break down. If I pay for a car that has Nav, and the Nav doesnt work properly, how is that ok? If it was any other part it would be considered broken. Just because you found a fix (and hats off to you for finding one) that doesnt mean its all good, just an inconvience we have to live with. Not so. If enough pressure is put on FCA maybe they will come to you for the fix. I say sell it to them for a ton of money and we will all be happy! just my opinion....l
  4. Well. Go direct to the battery terminals, not the jump points, and I would think you would be ok. if you are really concerned, take the batterycables off.
  5. Been using the same computer for y5 years, hasnt crashed once...lol
  6. Trade it in for one with a six....lol not much you can do...
  7. Smiling, happy, stupid people keep emergency responders in a job, thats why...
  8. How about a picture? One of the damaged, one of the non damaged so we know what you are reffering to.
  9. I just had my 09. In for front end work (ball joint L lower). They did not do the alignment. When i left, I had to turn the wheel 1/4 way to the right to go straight. WTF. Went right back in, made the manager drive it. He went 2 blocks and said WTF, this is so screwed up its not funny. They aligned it (straight as an arrow, like it was when i took it in) but the mechanic tried to blame it on the L front tire being less worn then the others. BS. That tire has been on the car 5000 miles and on the left front since January. they tried to skip a step and got caught. Make them do it.
  10. Cant you try a socket that looks like it will fit and go up or down from there? I mean really....
  11. On my 09 the engine runs about 10 minutes with the remote start. I have a key so cant tell you about the second part...
  12. This has been discussed in the past. Try searching the forum for the old threads. As I recall, it was pretty specific about wireing, etc.
  13. For some things I agree, but for a hydraulic cylinder, your paying an extra $15 to get it from the dealer. I would say its like only buying spark plugs from the dealer. They are all the same thing.
  14. Usually not, unless you are using really crappy gasoline.
  15. A speed sensor for the antilock-brake is not going to make your car run rough. Why is your mechanic fixated on the brakes? If he told you there is a sensor for the bearings time for a new mechanic. Did he check for stored codes? Could be any number of things.... start looking at the engine systems. Plugs, coil, egr valve etc.
  16. Im sure its being read, just no idea what to tell ya...
  17. Timing belt need to be changed at 100k, playing with fire if it wasn't done because thisis an interference ...engine
  18. I understand your frustration. I can say my 09 hasnt been horrendus, but it's had it share of issues. Leaking sunroof, broken antenna, struts, brakes (dont get me started), crappy Kumo Tires, both washer jets, rear wiper blade, battery plus the recalls, and today its goes on for an engine actuator?, ac control unit, ball joints, air bag recall, plus I'm having plugs and belt changed. I have 78k miles on it. Some things you expect, some are excessive, but they all come with any car. I always buy an extended warranty and I will say Ive gotten my purchase price back twice over out of my MaxCare warranty, but I doubt Id go Dodge again (this is my 5 Chrysler product). BTW I got two OEM washer jets for $9 on amazon. Takes 30 seconds to change....
  19. Welcome aboard! Should you ever need help, give as much information as you can. Car year, engine size, mil codes, etc so we can help....
  20. Was the car ever in an accident? Thats the only time ifve ever heard of this type of issue.
  21. Check for a bad ground and inside the connector for corrosion
  22. You are definitely on to something here! Maybe a little critter got in there and chewed something? Check for corrosion at each connector. You may have to open up the wire loom and check each wire, could be a wear spot and something shorting, not making contact, etc. could be the wires are fine and its the connector in the PCM....... Good luck and please keep us informed!
  23. A trip to the dealer may be in order. The led assembly is not a bulb as far as I know...
