REAR BUMPER RUBBER GUARD PROTECTOR PAD
OhareFred replied to Angel Carrillo's topic in Exterior & Body
Try Amazon, ,EBay, etc... -
Its not a cooler. If you look its described as a .storage bin

I did mine around 50-60k. Paid under $200 at the dealer. I also have the lifetime extended warranty plus a lifetime powertrain warranty. I say do it, it doesnt hurt anything, but I would only have the dealer do it because of no dip stick. Just my 2 cents....

UConnect Troubles
OhareFred replied to rmonreal's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I have an Iphone 7 with 10.1.1 software. I have no issues what so ever. The phone connects right away, if. I use GoogleMaps the directions will interupt music, like a phone call. My wifes I 7 is also paired in the car. Mine is primary ( my daily driver). When my phone is no in the car, hers works fine. If we are both in the car, mine is connected to UConnect. Two phones cannot be connected at the same time, its the system. i use my hard drive for music, so cant help you there. -
If we could get the idiots to put their friggen phones away when they drive I would say leave it in our hands, but because people are ignorant, stupid, and more important then everyone else let the computers do it. It will end up being safer and quicker for everyone. Next dumbass on the phone when the light turns green and sits there gonna get a push instead of the horn. How about the ass coming into my lane because they are so busy texting or reading their phone? Sick of it.

Any number of things. First step get the code read.
-
I agree, youll have to take it and have the suspension checked. Could be a CV joint, wheel bearing, strut, any number of things. My 09 has 75,000 and makes no strange noises....
-
Just curious, why are yours bad?
-
Perhaps the newer DJ is different, but adding bluetooth to my 09 was no big deal. The radio had the controls on it. I added the blue tooth module, which came with a remote mic. The wheel controls worked fine and there is no reason to replace the clockspring. Everything was done at the Dodge dealer, check with them. Again, the newer cars might be different. Good luck!

Yes you need a code reader. Plenty of inexpensive ones on the internet.

Check the wire loom that goes from the car body to the liftgate (rubber piece at the top of the liftgate). There are known issues with the wires inside becoming broken and doing strange things, although the brake lights are on the body of the car. The lights in the tailgate are just taillights. Keep us informed on your progress.

My 09 camera looks normal at night. Might have a camera issue starting up.. -
engine damage Low oil, engine noise....now what?
OhareFred replied to pmjay's topic in Engine & Transmission
Ok, you say its noisy. I got that. Hows is it running? Hows your mpg? Are you leaking anything? I drove my Bronco with one bad cylinder for two years before I swapped the engine out. Bide your time if all seems well but the noise. My 09 with the 3.5 has been noisy since day one. Maybe it always has been but now you notice it more because you know you were low on oil...... -
Perhaps the manufacturers should offer a longer warranty instead of making more money on selling extended warranties. Silly me! Then they would lose money! Yes, I always buy an extended warranty but not everyone can afford that.

2011 Interior fusebox locations
OhareFred replied to Derekmclain9's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Same place. Try looking under the glove box, passenger side -
Welcome! Are you sure your car was in the accessory? I know I once thought I was in accessory but was actually in the run position with the engine off. That being said, there has been alot of discussion about the DJ batteries. The one in my 09 lasted 4 years, the one in my wifes 04 Chrysler lasted 10 years! It was still working fine when I changed it but didnt want to chance another Chicago winter with a 10 year old battery. Some members batteries only lasted a year, some still have the original. Its really kinda hit or miss. I would think most batteries would last 5 years or so. Many things can cause a shortened battery life. Heat, cold, short trips, low milage, low use etc. All you can do is test it and the charging system.

Voulnteer firefighter/EMS perhaps......

Welcome! The only thing I know is you cannot get your phone to mirror on the display. Some cars, like some Chevys, Hundai, Toyota, have a system called CarPlay for Apple devices (forgot what android devices use) that does exactly what you want. Pull up your google maps and it shows it on your car screen. Nice! Unfortunrtly CFA does not have that option. Forget about getting an upgrade to do it, hell they dont even support the latest Apple software! There are several aftermarket radios that do have carplay installed, but not sure about pricing, etc. check out Crutchfield if you want to go that route. Good luck!

I have the same problem and situation at CostCo...one store told me they couldnt rotate the tires because the thread difference between the tires was too severe..WTF, isnt that why you rotate tires? They did balance the tires though, "boy were they off!" Funny the car rode like glass. Of course on the way home after 45 mph the vibration was so bad the headrests were shaking! Went to a different CostCo, they rotated and balanced the tires, riding like glass once again! What u gonna do......

This has been discussed to death. Search the site, i know you will see multiple threads on it.
