  1. I would think a vacuum leak would cause the pedal to be hard to push down. No power assist with no vacuum. I gotta tell you, I've been working on cars since I was 15 and I'm 54ish now and I have no answer for you! Gotta be something basic that everybody is overlooking.....The Dodge dealer HAD TO have bleed the ABS system/pump with a special tool, right? One that runs the ABS pump while you are turning the bleeder valves. .... Have they tried flushing the brake system with all new fluid? Maybe apiece of junk is blocking a small something or other. At this point what do you have to lose?
  2. I really doubt there is a difference North of the boarder in bake parts. Your dealer is in Canada, right? If they are getting the parts they should be correct. Im kinda stumped as well. Seems like everything you could try was done, my first thought was bleeding was not done correctly because of the abs but thats out... Lets get back to basics...pedal to floor could be 1: air, 2: broken line, 3: leaking fitting, 4: bad booster, 5: bad abs pump. Has anyone gone under the car to look for leaks? Cant think of anything else......
  3. Boy, dont know what to say. My IPhone 5 connects right away. I had a android before that and it connected right away also. About the only thing I could suggest is remove your phone(unpair it) remove uconnect from your phone, disconnect the negetive cable for 30 mins to reset everything and try again. If it does the same thing it could be you bluetooth module...let us know. The module shouldbe covered under warranty...
  4. Don't want a misunderstanding Martin. I meant the car salesman lied to you when he told you that, NOT that you were lieing. Sorry if you thought I was calling YOU a lier!
  5. Sounds like the float my be sticking, or something wrong with a module. As long as its under warranty it would be worth having them check and document it. Thats what i would do....
  6. If I your DJ is a 2010 how could it have been made last year? It was made in either the latter half of 09 or in 2010....
  7. 3 screws hold it on at the base. Unscrew, unplug the wire ( you might have to hunt down the connector) reverse to install. The wires are for the lights in the mirror.
  8. My 09 RT has a factory sunroof over the front seats with overhead rear HVAC controls with vents in the headliner, with seating for 7,, so yes they do (did) come from the factory that way.
  9. The general rule of thumb is to not reuse snap rings. That being said, I think everybody has reused snap rings when they really arent supposed to and lived with it. If you have to do the job now, reuse the old until the new come in, then replace them.
  10. Interesting how you were right at the correct mileage and just happened to be there! Lol. I always just go by the book. As for my oil, Mobile 1 every 5k. I just reset the reminder when it comes on at 2,500... I use the second trip od to keep track.
  11. Sounds like a setting got changed. I know on my 09 you can turn the auto locks off and on. Try disconnecting the negitive battery cable for 10 mins or so. That seems to work for alot of DJ gremlins. Try checking your owners manual to see how to reset the door locks. Cant hurt.
  12. Well, upon further review, after rechecking my MaxiCare lifetime coverage, THEY ARE COVERED! Yes it will cost $100 deductable but they are $35 each aftermarket, not installed. Also I found out a repair I paid for should also have been covered (heater hose assembly, was about $480). I'll be calling my dealer tomorrow...
  13. Cool, thanks for the info. I'll check at Just tires, etc. Thanks for the help guys!
  14. The fact that it started to work after being disconnected leads me to believe there may be corrosion at the connection. Did you look at both sides of the connector? You could try cleaning the connector with some electrical contact cleaner, then apply a very small amount of dielectric grease and put it back together. It might work once, it might work for years. Hard to say. If the actuater isnt too expensive, since the door is apart, I'd swap it out. I would use the grease on the new one. Good luck! Just my 2 cents!
  15. Thanks animal! I know Costco by me had some kinda sign about them, I'll have to look into it tomorrow. Of course not covered under my extended warranty and Im sure the dealer will b big $$$$.
  16. Not to hijack the thread, but this is about tpms.... On my 09 the low tire idiot light came on ( no advanced dash, thats all I gots). I checked each tire, none are low. It went away for a few days but now as soon as I turn the car on it get the "ding" and the idiot light stays on. No low tires. Now my question, please dont laugh too hard, is there a battery that needs changing or do I need all new sensors? I got the car July of 08, so its almost 8 years old (jeeze, time for a new car!) Anyone know for sure??
  17. It stops the car from remote starting I believe. In case someone is under the hood working you cant hit the remote start and chop off their parts...
  18. Isnt there a recall on the clockspring? Or is it not for your year....
  19. Ummm, my 09 has wpiers/washers/wiper delay on one switch, high beams/fogs/dash dimmer/directionals on another. Are the new models all on one? If not the multifunction switch is not that hard to change....but if they are still on two I would think something more is amiss....two different systems being affected.
  20. Kinda sounds like a lifter knock....I saw you checked the oil level, wonder if its the correct weight... Also, not trying to be a smart ass, but Im fairly sure all of us have jobs, lives, etc. We are not Dodge mechenics (well, some are actually) and are just trying to help. We get people who bitch and whine about buying a lemon and then never respond. At least you came back. You posted a vague rant then were gone a bit, what did you expect?
  21. Thats funny.....if you dont ask, they dont pay. Howmany people have dumped their cars for somethingnew? Howmany are wrecked, etc. they save millions doing it how they do.
  22. Did you test drive it? A carfax report isnt going to tell you about repairs, its about accidents, or am I mistaken about that? I mean, if you do your own maintenance nothing will show up on Carfax. Salesmen will lie to their mothers to get asale, buyer beware. Thats why I buy new and get an extended warranty. Not everyone can do that, I understand. You bought it from a Dodge dealership, Im sure they will listen to your concerns. Contact Dodge customer care and get them involved. Who knows. Anyway, there is ticking and then theres ticking. The 3.5 is kinda noisy, mine tics since day one. Sometimes you can hear it with the hood closed. Most times not. Doesnt mean the engineis bad. I just did 1,000 miles over three days, ran like a top and got 28 mpg doing 78 mph. Do you have any other noises, symptoms? Again, we need more info.
