  1. I agree. Look into the clock spring recall. There was also a recal for a wire loom, but I think that's was to the drivers door. If you try to fix it yourself, be careful of the airbag! Good luck!
  2. There was a recall for the clock spring on some models. When you buy used, you take your chances. Could have been in a wreck....
  3. On a DJ? This isn't an off road vehicle. Stick with a Jeep
  4. My 09 dimmer has a "parade" setting that turns the dash up to full brightness. When night comes and the headlights turn on, I twist the dimmer and they go down. Not really an issue for me...
  5. Some states require lights on with wipers, such asIllinois. D R L's don't count. When the headlights are on auto and u turn the wipers on, they come on. You can adjust the dash lights to full on by adjusting the dimmer.
  6. My thinking when I said remove the positive cable was that the radio has its own ground wire. if the positive is still attached, the radio may not reset because it may ground itself, UNLESS you disconnect at the battery. I said disconnect at the jumping post. I also assumed that it he poster would know not to let the cable touch metal, which was poor judgment on my part! Although, I think just about everyone who's turned a wrench has had the exciting experience of shorting the positive cable/wrench and seeing sparks and didn't blow up the car...lol
  7. Geez, just posted yesterday. Maybe she's working or something crazy like that. Might be right though. Lol
  8. I don't think the flashlight (torch) cause the battery drain. Mine pops half way out all the time. I'll go in the rear and find it that way. If it's not all the way locked in, it won't charge. Nice diagnosis on the bad cable!
  9. Try resetting radio dis disconnecting positive battery cable for 30 mins. Worked for others. You can disconnect it at the jump point.
  10. Get the warranty. I also have the lifetime, $100 deductable. Just had the rear shocks, stabilizer bar ends, bump stops, springs all replaced. About $1200 parts/labor for $100. I paid about $1200 (don't recall exactly) from my dealer when I bought the car
  11. Oh hell yea make them fix it! For what you pay for a car it should be all the same color!m good luck!
  12. My 09 has 2 sockets one battery powered, one ignition. Did they change that for 2014?
  13. How many miles? Who installed the started? Did u buy new? Did you check the electrical system? What is your battery voltage while the car is running? Do you drive a lot at night? If you want answers, we need more information.
  14. Man. May first car didn't even have power windows Or door locks! Come to think of it no power seat, mirrors,FM radio, or AC. Not even sure if they were optional! LOL. Thank goodness times have changed...
  15. Wasn't there a recall on the clock spring? That could be causing the issue. Never ignor the airbag light! If on your airbags don't work!
  16. Shouldn't be any issue. All the voltages are 12 v to the bulbs. The bulb assembly does all the converting if necessary. Also, now there are 12 volt led bulbs.
  17. Exactly what I do. Change my Mobil 1 every 5000 miles. The light is B S.
  18. Did mine on my 09 Took all of 20 mins. Not really a big deal at all
  19. On my 09 it comes on exactly at 2500 miles. It has from day one. I just reset it and when it comes on again, in exactly 2500 miles,I know it's time for my Mobil 1 oil change. I think it's bs. At 2500 miles the oil isn't even dirty. But that's just me...l
  20. My first suggestion would be to check all the connectors where you were working. Anything loose, completely disconnect and reconnect. Look to see if maybe you accidentally pulled a wire out of a connector. After that, I would go to a mechanic or dealer.
  21. I just want to say while I havent a clue what you are saying with the different systems, etc., it will be great to have a phone app to use! Thank you for your time and efforts! Will you be making instructions for us? Like where do you plug the Bluetooth dongel in, etc? Thanks again!
  22. LMAO! Really, wow I need to do a lot of research with all that information you gave! Can you check back in a year?
  23. Cleaning the intake will not clear the code nor will changing the part. The code must be cleared with a scan tool, like the one they used to read the code to begin with. I would clean it again, drive back to autozone and see if they can clear the code. Then see if it comes back. Good luck!
  24. 09 have an ACC position. I think he wants it to work without a key, like a direct wire to the battery or something....
