  1. I have a nuvi with lifetime maps & traffic. Look for a unit that ends with LMT, that's tells you you get free upgrades 4 times a year on the maps. Other then that, get one you like! I don't stick mine to the windshield, I purchased a weighted " bean bag" mount which works fantastic. I place it on the dash where the pop up storage unit is and plug it in one of the power ports. Never moves and doesn't leave the round "I've got a gps in the car" mark on the windshield!
  2. Look in the forum, there is a thread by you that's says p2002 and limp mode with replies.
  3. If you know you have a misfire, I would change the 4 plugs, use a little Di-Electric grease on the top of the plugs before you put the coil back on. If it comes back, I would then change the coil. Start with the plugs, costs less and won't hurt.
  4. Have you cleaned the throttle body? How about the air filter? Check those, maybe add some SeaFoam to the fuel tank. Cleaned the throttle body on mine, good as new (although I has the six).
  5. I agree, what does the instrument cluster have to do with it? I'd definitely get a second opinion....
  6. Also, what "cluster"? Is it a modual maybe? They aren't talking about the instrument cluster are they?
  7. If your going to swap the old for the new after they install it, why don't you just buy the new one and install it yourself? It's not like you can return it once it's in, but you'll save the labour fees. If the new one fixes it, you'll save a step and still get the core fee. Right?
  8. I've had mine on auto since I put them in, 2-3 years ago. Haven't touched them since I put them in.
  9. It is. I just checked it, it covers 09-10 model years, journey and a couple other models. Since the op has a 10, might be worth looking into....
  10. No, not the gm recall. I got the notice from chrysler. Don't own any GM cars...
  11. Isn't there a. Recall for journey ignition switches? I got a notice that's states there is, but parts are not available yet. It says to only have the key in the ignition by itself, no key ring...
  12. Did you really believe the "old lady only drove it to church" story, did you? It may have been a company lease car that was used by multiple people who didn't maintain it, they just trade them in every couple of years. I know my buddy's company does that. Abuse the vehicle then dump it before it gets too old. In any event, have it thourghly checked, repair what's bad, and I'm sure you'll end up happy! Best of luck!
  13. I would think its not that simple. You probably need to upgrade/ change computers, etc. as all wheel drive is not the same as old fashioned 4 wheel drive. Maybe one of our resident wrenches will chime in...
  14. This is a new one. There was some talk about difficultly in getting the gauge to read full, but I don't recall this. You tried everything I was goin to suggest. Did you just get the car? I see its a 2014, maybe the fill hose was twisted at the factory. Think of it this way, if you can't fill it, you can't drive it, think how much you'll save on gas! Sorry, that's the only ideas I have. Good luck!
  15. There is really nothing you can fix. If it worked before and doesn't now, I suppose you could try to disconnect the battery to reset everything, HOWEVER, I do not know if you need a anti theft code. There is a modual that connects to your radio which makes the voice/phone work. Perhaps it went bad.....
  16. You really shouldn't need a trickle charger. There have been a few updates that the dealer needs to do to the computer, as I recall things were not shutting down even when the car is off. If your battery is completely dead and all you have is a trickle charger, it may not be enough. Best bet is to jump it, take it to a dealer and have them check for the updates...good luck!
  17. I disagree with JKeaton. If the level is between low and full, you do not need to add fluid. More then likely your pads are worn. Adding fluid will only cause it to spill out when you collapse the calipers. Check your pads. The rears need a special tool to rotate the caliper cylinder in, they just don't get pushed in. The fronts can just be pushed in. A lot of auto parts stores will loan you the special brake tool.
  18. Im pretty sure my 09 buttons do not light up. I recall hunting for them at night when I first got the car.
  19. Good for you. My dodge dealer general manager was supposed to call me back. That was weeks ago. I bet dodge trains their people to do that. Ignore them and they will go away. I hope you stick it to them. Chrysler corp doesn't know what customer service is. I'm STILL waiting for customer cares to answer my email for 10 days ago.
  20. If you have the "advanced driver info center' it will show you actual numbers otherwise it's just a yellow idiot light. Pretty useless. That's what mine has, the idiot light. I also expected the RT to have top level trim, but not.
  21. Sorry about that, I missed the Dakota part ( just didn't register)! Thought you were talking about a DJ....
  22. The antenna??!! Flying mailbox?
