  1. Well I guess I was an idiot as well because it happened to me as well! Anyway, I managed to get the door open by pressing the latch and slightly pushing the door IN and it released. Maybe I just got lucky but give it a try. Hope it works for ya!
  2. If you are talking about the rears, yes. They "screw in", not just compress. I have heard people using needle nose pliers to turn them in, but there is a special tool that does it. You may be able to borrow or rent one from a parts store. The fronts just compress, nothing special. Good luck
  3. AHHHH, thats another story! I had a Chevy with DRL's and yes, if you pushed the parking brake on, then took it off AFTER the engine had started the drl's would stay off till the next restart. Maybe you could wire in a momentary contact switch in the parking brake switch wiring. At least then all you would have to do is flip the switch. I have seen discussions on this site about HID lighting and turning fogs into DRL's in the past. I can't recall in what section though. Anybody remember??? Good luck!
  4. I know there was a tsb to have the trans computer (or maybe a different computer) reflashed for hard shifting. Maybe if you go back to the dealer they can reflash yours. You might get lucky and it might work. There has been some conversation about difficult shifting on this site, but I never had a problem with my 09. Hope this helps!
  5. Aren't DRL's a required item in Canada? It's not here in the States, but I thought they were mandatory up North, but I could be wrong. If they are required, no dealer will disconnect them. You might be out of luck.
  6. Almost sounds like a bad or loose ground, either right at the battery or at the main distribution box. I'd have the dealer check it before you get stranded! Good Luck.
  7. Just a thought, can you manually set the ipod to shuffle AFTER you have it connected, or once it's connected the face controls don't respond? Does that make sense? Anyway, maybe you can set the shuffle before you close the glove box for now until someone figures this out. Hope it helps!
  8. Yes you are having alot of the common problems. As far the the brakes go, I changed my front pads at 13,000 put on ceramic and haven't had a problem since. Used the factory rotors and haven't touched the rears. Next brake job don't go to the dealer, go after-market & you'll have better luck. I have been very lucky with my 09 R/T Only things I've done are routine maintenance and the front pads. The dealer did change the power-steering pump under a recall but no problems. Check that the recall was done to yours. Good luck with it!
  9. Have you looked for an after-market one? Yes you would have an additional fob, but most after-market ones that I have seen have a longer range, longer running time and sometimes additional options. Not sure what the cost of the OEM was but around here you can get one installed from 100$ and up. Just a thought for ya.

I need not come up with something newer because that fit the situation just fine. Second, if you had stated you removed the headrest's to install monitors and need a little help, you may have gotten some. Third, good for you that you figured it out. I sincerely hope all is working properly and the air bags will deploy if needed. I am certainly glad NASA can spare you being away and have time to post wise ass comments on this site. When you grow up maybe you can learn how to ask for help.

  13. Found this on Google: "The output of an inverter is a very square wave, not like the smooth, round wave of a perfect sine. Some devices are inherently sensitive to the signal produced by an AC wave. Typically, these are devices that receive or broadcast some kind of signal, such as audio or video equipment, navigation devices or sensitive scientific equipment. You can see or hear the square waveform on a television as lines on the screen or a steady buzz or hum. Cleaning up the sine wave requires a series of filters, inductors and capacitors. Inexpensive inverters have little or no filtering. The alternating current they produce has a very square wave, which is fine if you just want to make coffee or run something with a simple electric motor. If you need a smoother sine wave, you'll need an inverter with better filtering. Of course, better filtering also costs a little more." I used mine to run a 22 inch LCD TV while tailgating and had no problems. Run my sons power cord for his Gameboy & played without problems.. I think just about anything you might use in the car would be OK. I wouldn't try to run a big computer or sensitive radio equipment on it.

  15. Why would you unplug the air bag sensor to begin with???? What were you trying to do? Don't complain because of your lack of thinking. Remember "lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine" Enough of that. I know on the second row seats there are two plastic "buttons" that hold the cover on. Try looking on both lower corners and see if you can tell if the front is the same way. You can use a special tool to remove the buttons, but I use a putty knife that I cut to resemble a U shape. IF the front seats have these plastic buttons that will pop them off. I AM NOT SURE IF THE FRONT SEAT IS IN STALLED IN THIS MANNER. CHECK FOR YOURSELF.
  16. Is the display out, or is the back lighting when the headlamps are turned on out? In other words, can you see anything at all on the passenger side at any time? If you can't see anything, sorry it's not a replaceable bulb, its the display. You'll need to go to the dealer to fix it, or, if you are handy, you might be able to find a new control head on the internet. Thats what you need, not a bulb. Sorry!
  17. A few people have had problems with water in the rear of the vehicle. look in the rear storage compartment (under the"flap" in the back). Another problem has been the sunroof not draining properly and the headliner and foot area being wet. I have a 09 R/T with the sunroof and have not had either of these problems, but my car is also garage kept most of the time. Hope this helps!
  18. Did you check to see if your rotors were sticking? I still have my OEM rotors, although I did replace the front pads @ 13,000 miles with after-market ceramic pads. Rears are still all OEM and now have 26,000 miles on it. Live in the city, although did take a 1,400 mile road trip this summer. Hope this might help you out!
  19. When I bought my 2009 I was looking for AWD but got such a great deal on the FWD I couldn't pass it up. I live in Chicago and after having the Journey through a couple of winters (got it in July of 08) I am very happy with the FWD. Of course, the roads get cleared of snow & ice pretty fast around here! Have been in Northern Wisconsin in the snow with it and had no problems whatsoever. I had a 4WD Durango before the Journey and loved the 4WD, but now I don't really miss it. BTW, I have the Kumo tires and don't see a big problem with them. Wouldn't buy them again if I can avoid it, but I'm not throwing them away either. They do spin alot if I'm foot heavy on wet or snow, but the traction control kicks in and I know to back off. It's an SUV, not a NASCAR race car after all!
  20. WOW I've had my 2009 since July 2008. I did replace the front brakes at about 13,000 (way too early if you ask me, but they were less then 10 % left) but did it myself, used ceramics, and haven't had a problem since. Did not change the rotors, just the front pads. Rear brakes still fine (27,000 miles now). Live in Chicago with all (well almost all) stop and go, even on the expressway! Did take a nice road trip this summer to the tune of 1,500 miles without a problem. Haven't been to the dealer except for a broken radio antenna and a couple oil changes, then started at a local place for that. I have a black R/T and use it all the time. Must be lucky. Love the thing and haven't had a major problem yet!
  21. Can we see a picture of an upside down brake caliper? Never seen one of those before and I've been fixing cars since 1978.
  22. Why would you not keep receipts? I know you admitted it, but how can you expect Dodge just to take you at your word? Not saying you didn't do the work, but its on you to prove it. Little consolation, I know, but you can't place all the blame on Dodge. Hopefully arbitration will work in your favor, or at least fix the Dodge so you can get rid of it and get something else.   23. Isn't that the 2010 style of mount? I would think all you need to do is order the center counsel from Dodge, or trade up to a 2010 {ha ha}.
