SiriusXM NavTraffic CANADA
RaptorsFan replied to Avistow's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
I'm considering signing up for Sirius Traffic once my 1 year trial ends. Did you have to provide a US address or use a US credit card? -
Here is a great site with lots of info - https://dashcamtalk.com/

I just wish album art would display, hate seeing that grey question mark box where the art should be.

Woah, that looks like some serious work. Nice job OP, definitely not something I would ever consider doing myself since I am not very handy and would be afraid of screwing something up. I'm looking to add a backup cam to my DJ as well and know the labour is not super cheap for this job (I appreciate the labour charge more after seeing your post). For example, this is what is listed on a local dealership's website: Rear View Camera System So sleek, you`d hardly notice it is there. State-of-the-art, wide-angle lens video camera that improves rearview visibility. Innovative plug-and-play design allows for fast installation.Production Back Up Camera system that integrates into the Back Up camera ready radios (CTP RE2 or RE4 only), includes camera, wiring and instructions Price $440.00 Price Installed$797.0082212553

Finally, My Crossroad Looks Like The Chicago Show Crossroad!

+1 interest is there but I was waiting for pics before commenting as well. -
Here is what is says in my manual: Customer Programmable Features — Uconnect Touch™ System 8.4 Settings • Auto-On Driver Heated/Ventilated Seat With Vehicle Start — If Equipped When this feature is selected the driver’s heated seat will automatically turn on when temperatures are below 40° F (4.4° C). When temperatures are above 80° F (26.7° C) the driver vented seat will turn on. To make your selection, touch the Auto Heated Seats soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to setting, showing that setting has been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu.

iOS 8 & UConnect Issues
RaptorsFan replied to Armendegga's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Actually, it is the ios 8.01 update released this week that has been pulled, 8.0 is still available and they are working on 8.02 which is expected to be released in the next few days and it is supposed to fix the issues introduced with 8.01. From what I have ready the issues only affected iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users who upgraded to 8.01 and caused loss of cellular service or ability to use Touch ID. -
It was the update showing for my vehicle after typing in the VIN # at https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do From that site, the update title was UCONNECT®8.4_MY12_CTP_RADIO__13_48_46__RE2_RE3_RE6_RB4_RB5_RB6 After downloading, the compressed file was titled 14_48_46_MY12_CTP_RADIO_RE2_RE3_RE6_RB4_RB5_RB6 File name after extraction was CTPMY12.KWI - this is what I put on the USB drive.

Woah, so it was just sitting in there for who knows how long until you peeled back the sticker. Wonder what, if any, damage it may have cause inside the door. What alerted you to the water being in there, ie a sound, wet windows, visible leak etc.?
-
That may not necessarily be the case as I notice you are in the US where you can legitimately access Pandora and the Uconnect app. I'm in Canada and up here we don't have Pandoral (without some kind of workaround which I use on my phone) or the Uconnect app at all so these two things in particular would not be available to us Canadians anyway. It won't take you much time to do the update and may be worth a shot. You never know and worst case is you won't have it just like you don't now.

I will be attempting this myself. On the site I linked above there is a tutorial which seems pretty straight forward (tried putting the tutorial in this post but it contained too many pictures so I did not bother). In essence, you need to get the update file on a USB drive (minimum 4GB, formatted to FAT32) put it in the USB port in the vehicle and then follow the on screen instructions.

I have a 2012 crew with 8.4 non nav unit (only had the car for a couple weeks now). After typing in my VIN at https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do it shows that my unit qualifies for a software update and the release date was yesterday - 09/15/2014. No changelog to say what the update contains, will likely do mine this evening or later this week but may be worth checking out to see if it brings the functionality you are looking for.

A simple google search would have provided your answer. From http://www.chryslercommercialvehicles.com/dodge/download/pdf/manuals/2012-Journey-OM-3rd.pdf Transmitter Battery Replacement The recommended replacement battery is one CR2032 battery. NOTE: • Perchlorate Material — special handling may apply. See www.dtsc.ca.gov/hazardouswaste/perchlorate • Do not touch the battery terminals that are on the back housing or the printed circuit board. 1. Remove the emergency key by sliding the mechanical latch on the back of the RKE transmitter sideways with your thumb and then pull the key out with your other hand. 2. Insert the tip of the emergency key or a #2 flat blade screwdriver into the slot and gently pry the two halves of the RKE transmitter apart. Make sure not to damage the seal during removal. 3. Remove the battery by turning the back cover over (battery facing downward) and tapping it lightly on a solid surface such as a table or similar, then replace the battery. When replacing the battery, match the + sign on the battery to the + sign on the inside of the battery clip, located on the back cover. Avoid touching the new battery with your fingers. Skin oils may cause battery deterioration. If you touch a battery, clean it with rubbing alcohol. 4. To assemble the RKE transmitter case, snap the two halves together.

Hello everyone. I just joined the forums and thought I would post a quick introduction. As you can tell from my username, I am a die hard Raptors fan and am located in Toronto, Canada. I have a 2012 Journey Crew in storm gray. Previous to the DJ I drove a modified Civic (cosmetic mods, not performance - ie: rims, tv's, stereo etc.) which served me well for over a decade but now that I have a family the DJ is suiting us very well and I look forward to being a part of the community. May not post very often for now as I will be focusing on reading/learning but will post if I can add value to the discussion. Look forward to seeing you all around.
