I split apart a USB lighter charger and the two led strips come with wires that are +/- and that's where I used the USB for the power and negative and still am able to charge my phone.

Its all paint, I used my USB phone charger as a power suppy for my foot lighting, so I can turn them off if i wanted, its usally tucked away and can not see it, over the summer I'll eventually be doing the doors to match the trim up front

Here you go guys. A better shot of it all done. Its fine if no one else likes it. We all have our own taste and I think I did a decent job

I was actually going to hydro dip it was some skulls. I've seen the dash kits and some look awesome, I was going to get the same kit that the Gran Cherokee limited has. It was like and dark grey looked amazing

I did it the following day. The journey is really dirty but once it gets warm out I'll post some better pictures

Not me, hate the cheap grey look. This blends better inside. I'll have to take a pic of it soon once it's installed.

Removing Spray Tint from Tail Lights
Cody Chornobey Powley replied to bigunclejethro's topic in Appearance
Yea I used it only my elantra. If you find it ruined your lense just wet sand with 1000 and 2000 and even clear coat it after if your wish. I also used plast x for buffing and it turned out better then how it was even before the tint -
I'm thinking of getting some kind off off road rim, hard to find one tho with these 19 inch rubbers

Awesome Signal Lights
Cody Chornobey Powley replied to dhh3's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
When I bought my 14/blacktop last September I went for a night ride got out to take a look at it and drool and noticed my passenger side parking light was not working, the blinker worked but not te parking light, not even 24 hours of ownership and I needed a new wire harness, still have the issue if I use led turn signal bulbs, but with the regular incandescent bulbs it's fine so that tells me there is still an issue on the passenger side, I'll probably take in my journey before my warranty is up like a day or two before lol and get the grand Cherokee rt. I know those are expensive but it's way better and nicer than the journey. Had one for a few weeks as a rental and instantly fell in love, it made my DJ feel like a amatures choice of suv -
9006 LED bulbs
Cody Chornobey Powley replied to hockey_puck's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
What you want out of LEDs is distance. Not just a wall shot..if you do go to a wall do a long shot like I did...that's the only real way to see if the bulb performs good or not. -

Take a look at my gallery. Your refldctor housing were not designdd for led bulbs or hid bulbs. Do a retrofit like I did -
Should I complain about the factory paint job?
Cody Chornobey Powley replied to scorpionman1958's topic in Appearance
I got smashed from. Girl who ran a stop sign, first rental was a grandcherokee ( beautiful) and the second was a charger2015 rallye. It sucked ass sure it looks cool but my journey is better.on gas and a much smoother ride. But since I drove the limited grandcherokee I want one haha. Wish the dj was available in a v8 -

Not really no lol, product I used was the light diffuser you would see in apartments or offices. Poped put the amber reflector. Used a heat gun cause the oem reflector has a slight bend. Just a simple trace and cut.
