Derek Bourgeois
I have had this intermittent issue with my 2014 Dodge Journey limited...... every once in a while it will not start. I can turn it to ACC and everything powers up fine. But when I try to start a few lights flash on dash, one in particular is the red round light. In the past I have been able to get out, lock the doors, walk away and then come back to it and it will start up. This Sunday it did not and left my son and I stranded in a hot car..... the journey is still at McDonald's. things I have tried include pushing the start button with the key fob with my foot on brake, pushed the button with the key fob with foot off the brake and then tried to start it with same results. We even tried to use my wife's key fob when she came to pick us up..... anyone have any ideas on what else we could try when we go there tonight after our son goes to bed? 2late4u
engine size, miles? also did you try putting gear selector in neutral and then starting it? sometimes mine doesn't start and i push the button to off then re step on the brake pedal harder then hit the start button works for me ,i dont think i am pushing hard enough of the brake pedal when it doesn't start. have a local auto store do a load test on your battery just in case.... jkeaton
CSC
This happened to me once while at work. I had someone even try and jump start my battery. It ended being that my shifter wasn't all the way in park. Not noticeably enough to be obvious, but enough for it to not start.
