Mark R. Monaco
Guys, I have a 2014 AWD Limited (purchased last month) w/o stock footwell lights, and was looking to add an aftermarket LED set (not purchased yet). The goal is to have illumination either when the doors are opened or when the dome lights are activated. However, I'm not sure where would be the easiest location to tap into the wiring for trigger. Any suggestions? Edited November 23, 2017 by Mark R. Monaco
jkeaton
Trace the dome light wiring. That’s what I usually do. Will involve removing various trim pieces and a meter to figure out which wires are hot and ground.
HugoClement
If you tap directly into the interior light fuse you should be able to achieve that. After a quick Google search it seems to be the Fuse number 101 in the interior fuse box at the feet passenger side. For mine I taped into the bin power outlet fuse to have them on all the time when driving and it was way much easier than removing a bunch of trim pieces. Mark R. Mark R. Monaco
Thanks @HugoClement, I'll definitely keep that in mind once I get my light kit ordered and shipped.

km-04
Gotcha, it has been a bit nippy out as of late. Looking forward to them when you do get around to it.
