mr.m Posted December 4, 2009 Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 my 09' journey has a crack on the rear bumper, between the step area and the the upright on the left. I looked online for a used bumper. all the bumpers i found had the same crack. Is this common? has any one had their rear bumper replaced? if so did you think you had been hit? buckeye372 Posted June 13, 2010 Report Share Posted June 13, 2010 there was a forum about front and rear bumpers in police cars getting cracks in them for no apparent reason. Turned out that when the vehicles were being parked in the parking lots the drivers were waiting to feel the car bump the curb (those halp octagon shaped curbs usually staked into the concrete) they weren't hitting hard but just that slight rubbing was enough to get the paint cracking.
